I have been using a Black and Decker pivot driver for many many years. In fact, it still works just fine. But after being dropped numerous times, and recharged more times than I can count, the performance was starting to slow a bit. I have larger drivers for serious work, but this is my go to for so many smaller jobs and at such a low price point, I figured no reason not to replace it and maintain maximum performance.
I decided to invest more in a "better" unit since I use it so often but when I compared features and thought about what I really like about this driver, I couldn't find anything any better then the good old $20 Black & Decker. I love the pivot feature, the simplicity, and the compact size. The only thing I would change on my old driver is eliminate the speed control, which I never use, and add a locking feature. The new driver has done both, and updated to a lithium battery.
The overall length is the same, but The pivot point has moved making the drive and slightly shorter and the handle slightly longer. This gives better grip and better access in tight spaces.
Overall, I'm very happy with the upgrade, but I'm keeping my old Pivot driver in a drawer. We've been through too much together to dispose of it now.

I replaced a Craftsman 3.6 volt unit with this Black & Decker version. So far, very pleased. Has excellent torque and is easy to handle. Great for smalls jobs, such as disassembly where a cordless drill is overkill.

This is a very nice rechargeable screwdriver! It does the job of tightening and getting screws out effortlessly. I showed it to my sister and she immediately started to test it, (after I had recharged it for the 16 hours that they recommend), by tightening the loose knobs she had on several lids of her pots and pans. The 3 different positions settings is very helpful also, when you need to reach those hard to reach places. It arrived fast from Amazon.com and well packaged. Now I'm considering ordering the "pink" one for her since she loved it so much. I will definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a small, yet powerful little rechargeable screwdriver. Get it! The Black & Decker Li2000 3.6-Volt Rechargeable Screwdriver is a winner!

It is a 3.6v device so it wont drive a 3inch screw into a 2x4 but it will get it half way there. I use it for computer repairs and the lithium battery holds charge for a long time, I use it every day and I repair about 6-10 computers/laptops a day and i only charge it once a week. Only issue with it is that the bits included are not magnetic and the socket is not adjustable. But if you find some magnetized bits that fit(its standart hex fitting) its a great buy.

I bought this a few months ago to replace a much bigger, heavier drill that hadn't been working very well.
Pros:
- super lightweight
- the ability to switch to handle to make it a screwdriver is great
- love that it has quick change bits instead of an annoying chuck that you have to loosen and tighten
- it's easy to find quick change drill bits that work with this. I bought a set at my local Home Depot for only about $8.
- charge REALLY seems to last! I was building gutter gardens last night and screwed and had to remove and rescrew some brackets when I mounted them wrong and it kept working for the good two hours or so I was screwing and unscrewing!
- surprising powerful for as small as it is! I was able to drill holes into a fence and fence post to hang my gutters with such little effort! (see attached pic)
- nice and small and easily portable.
Cons:
- the button on top that you have to press to drill is positioned a bit weird. As a female with a smaller hand than most men's it's a bit of an awkward reach. Seems like the button should be further back. But then again, since it's built to swivel into a screwdriver it would have been impossible for the button to be further back. Just note if you have really tiny hands this may not work for you.
- would be nice if it came with a case to put it in as well as any bits you purchase.
All in all, a great little drill for home projects and especially so for women and elderly people (though not tiny, tiny handed ones LOL) since it's so lightweight.

I love this tool! It works great and is easy to use. The only thing I didn't like was that I ordered the drill bits that Amazon suggested be bought with it. They had the round end and they don't work. It needs the hexagon end bits.

The drill is in perfect working condition. It was cheaper than trying to drive miles from home to the black and decker store to purchase a new charger for the one I already had because none of the big or small hardware stores carried just chargers.

This is not a drill. It is, however, a fantastic little time-saving screwdriver. The two heads that come with it are very decent quality, only my toughest screws chewed them up a little, but I used this little guy for total demolition and re-imagining of a camper. Saved me tons of time, charge lasts a very long time, and it is very sturdy for such a little tool. Will not replace a drill, but a great addition to a tool collection.

I couldn't live without one of these. This one is my second - the first model isn't to be found anymore, if that tells you anything about how long it lasted. The 3 positions make it easy to get the job done from different angles. I'm satisfied with the speed - I use it for putting furniture together, screwing screws in pre-drilled holes, putting toys together and so much more. It's small enough to store in my kitchen cupboard.

I am an avid birdhouse builder, but I've been intimidated by power tools--whether battery-driven or electricity-powered (I know, it's very humbling for a grown woman to admit this). This tool fits smaller hands nicely & my carpentry skills are advancing. As a result, I have more time to embellish my birdhouses & to place them in my garden for all the neighbors to admire (I know it sounds crazy, but I have 25 of them!). This is a very user-friendly tool for DIY fanatics or anyone else who doesn't want to "screw things up"--Ha-Ha, sorry for the bad joke!
