When I purchased these lights I had no idea what I would find. First of all my children are pigs and apparently they drop food and wipe their hands wherever they want to. I don't have animals but apparently the people who owned the home before me did because I did find a few spots in the corners on the carpet that we had no idea were there, gross.

These lights are good for detecting animal urine and food stains. These can also be used in detecting counterfeit bills or documents. I would suggest taking one along with you on vacations when staying in hotel rooms to make sure your room has been cleaned the way it should be.

You receive two flights for the price of one which is great. You can keep one as a backup or give one to a friend or family member. One comes in black and the other is silver and they each have a the byblight name and logo on them. Each one measures 4" in length and they do come with their own lanyard attached to them thateasy res 5". Each one is made out of sturdy aircraft aluminum and have 12 ultra bright ultraviolet lights. The top and the bottom come off and can give you access to the batteries but I found it taking the bottom off is the easiest and most effective.

I love staying in hotels. I love the tiny shampoo bottles, the individually wrapped soaps, room service, unusual cable channel options, and having my room magically cleaned before I get back from lunch. If I could have all of those things without having to spend the night in a bed that a thousand strangers have slept (and done heaven-only-knows what else) in, life would be perfect. I get really creeped out jumping out of the shower and sliding into a bed in a hotel – regardless of the name of the hotel or how many stars are associated with the property. These handy little BYBLights give me an excellent way to determine if the bed that I’m about to jump into is somewhere that I can I relax. Everything from bedbugs (shiver) to some bodily fluids (ugh) can be found with UV light and the BYBLight has 12 strong LED lights that will make the job quick and easy. I love the portable size: at about 4 inches long this light tucks easily into my purse or suitcase. These flashlights are exceptionally well-made and sturdy, I won’t worry about them getting jostled around by overworked baggage handlers. The best part is that they are super bright – this is more important than you might think – the last UV light that I tried to use wasn’t nearly as bright and in order for me to use it I had to get my face really close to the bed that I was inspecting. That isn’t going to happen with these ones, the light is bright enough for me to stay at a comfortable distance and still see everything! I received these terrific portable UV light flashlights at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review and can’t wait to take them with me on my next adventure – I am going to sleep so much better knowing that the hotel room, and the bed, are clean and safe!

I love this blue light to test out many areas. i have not known that so many things I could have missed while cleaning. I have had a kitten in my house, as well as a baby, so i want everything to be perfectly clean. This is a huge help for a little flashlight that shows what areas need to be cleaned. I will be using this almost every where I go, because I am so scared of being sick, or sleeping on dirty items, or just anything. I love that this is a two pack because I will also have my husband check a room as well as myself in another and it will cut time in half. Also this product is good to use to see what i will look like under a blue light for when i go all night bowling, I do not want to have a dirt spot on a shirt that i thought was clean. This is a nice set of two LED UV Urine Stain Detector flash lights. They came packed nicely in some bubble wrap in a nice tight box so there was no shifting/bumping into each-other during shipment. I received one black and one silver flashlight. You will need to have 3 AAA batteries for each flash light as they do not come included.
I have a dog sitting business that I run out of my home - granted I have laminate floors and not carpet - I still have dogs marking and peeing in the house (ugh I know!) and even though I clean up pretty quickly - I like knowing that these UV lights can detect if I miss a spot and can make sure I disinfect/clean the area well enough like one of the posts in my house tends to get marked on by the male dogs - using the UV flash light I can see the spatter and clean it up more effectively.
These flashlights work best in total darkness - I like to turn off all the lights after it gets dark outside and walk around the house after a day of dog sitting and see if I missed any spots cleaning up. You really can tell a difference between the cleaned up urine stain and the not cleaned up. When I clean it up - the UV light detects a dimmer/faded urine stain vs the "HELLO I'M HERE" brightness of the urine shining against the light. I love this flashlight set!

I got two in my package. One was silver and the other one was black.They both have black buttons on the bottom to turn them on.The UV light takes 3AAA batteries.The batteries are not included.I got my batteries and put them in,turned it on and it shines bright purple. When I shined it on the floor where my dog peed it looked a yellow color.We had a puppy that got excited. ….It would pee everywhere. So I shined the light on the couch where I knew she had peed before...It showed up so I cleaned the couch better.I liked the light and how it showed me where my pet peed.So I could clean it better.I also check my dollar bills to make sure they were real.I didn't see anything I disliked about this product.I would recommend this product to family and friends because you never know what your pets are doing while your not home.I did receive this product for free in exchange for an honest,unbiased review.All thoughts and opinions here are my own formed while evaluating this product.I am not paid to write any reviews.

ordered these for a hotel. we allow pets in the rooms and some people are not so kind as to tell you when a pet has an accident.
so the first day we got these we went through just 10 rooms to start. OMG these little things work great. we found signs of pet stains in 4 of them . we have been able to get the stains out and have gone back into the rooms with the lights and they show that the stains have
gone. we love these lights.
will recommend to other people for sure

When BYBlight discovered I reviewed this light at 2 stars they contacted me ASAP and offered to make everything as promised. In all fairness I had not contacted them to give them a chance to fix or even let them know I had a problem with one of the lights. I only wrote "only one worked" I was Unfair. The problem was corrected immediately. This is way beyond the call of duty. I would purchase from them again and recommend to anyone. 5 STARS!

These UV flash lights are nice and small for easy storage, also the lightweight is really nice when needing to use for long times. They do require 3 AAA batteries each, you just unscrew the bottom and remove the battery cartridge. This 3 AAA batteries fit inside the cartridge easily then slide the cartridge back, replace the cover and screw it back on tightly. The on and off button is located on the very bottom of the flashlights, just push it turn on and off. We used this UV flashlight for finding pet stains on our carpet while we streamed cleaned them, the UV light made every little stain glow. Made it easy to know when we got our carpet really stain free. Since they came in a two pack we gifted one to our friend that travels for work every week in a new hotel room. He has told us he loves it because it gives him peace of mind knowing the room is clean and free from blood, or any other bodily fluids. I was wondering what else UV lights are good for and I learned a lot. Like if you live near scorpions, the UV light illuminates them. Night clubs, store's of all kinds and even the police use UV lights to detect forgery of all kinds. Antiques, art, ID and other document verification, and even hand stamps. Hunters use UV lights to track the animal blood , detectives use the uv light to look for blood and other bodily fluids at crime scenes. So there is lots of reasons to own a good UV light or two.

This little device is so neat. It took a few tries to get the flashlight to turn on but I finally got it on. Then I went to the bathroom to check for "unclean" places. To my surprise the bath tub lit up light you wouldn't believe. While I expected there to be a ring because I have not cleaned it yet, I did not expect the OUTSIDE of the tub to light up. It is going to get a good scrubbing now that I know. I can't wait to take this around the house and find all those places I have missed because I just did not think about it.

So this gets 5 stars for working so well and it giving you two. I like the fact I have a back light.

Update: I took the light into the bathroom and went to town. I had no idea there was stuff on the wall behind the toilet or the wall in front of it. These feel very sturdy and weighty while holding them, and the textured rubber switch makes a satisfying click when turning it on or off. They're easy to use, changing the batteries is simple (they take 3 AAAs, NOT AAs), and they shine quite brightly for such small flashlights. At first I went around the house searching for stains (mostly pet-related), but soon I just started shining it on everything to see what would glow.

There were a lot of things around the house that glowed under UV light, but my camera couldn't handle most of them; they looked too bright. I did manage to take a decent picture of some spilled laundry detergent on my washing machine, though. There had been a small amount spilled there already, and I added a bit more detergent so it'd stand out better.

I love these little flashlights, They're fun, and super useful if you have pets prone to 'accidents', like I do.
