The Orange Dual-Action Collapsed Cell Structure Light Cutting Pad is a firm, high density foam pad that is ideal for scratch and defeat removal. This pad offers the correction of a typical compounding pad while at the same time allowing the polishing ability of a light cut foam pad. When used with heavier compounds, it will remove moderate swirls and scratches with little or no haze. This is an all-around pad that will work on most light to moderate imperfections. The polish-saving design gives polishes a longer working time, which results in more successful detailing. Collapsed Cell Structure (CSS) pads utilize the latest in innovation and are very user friendly providing better control, less product waste, more accurate results and overall a better job. The CSS Technology slows the rate of polish absorption which results in a longer working time. The CSS pockets gradually release polish as needed by the operator which improves operator control. The CSS pockets also reduce surface tension which allows the operator to run the pad flat on a working surface, preventing pad skipping.

I love these pads! They remove swirls and finish nicely. Use a pad brush to clean product during sections and cool if necessary, I have two of the so I can switch off for cleaning and heat dissipation as needed. BTW These are Lake Country CCS pads and are of the highest quality.

I like these better than the Chemical Guys Hex pads. This were more resilient and did not wear out in the middle. My technique may have contributed to the compression of the hex pads, but these held up better and I can see myself using these several times.

This is one of my favorite pads, I used it to polish my 5th wheel trailer. It does not absorb a lot of polish and has the right amount of density for taking off some oxidation. They are very good quality and I highly recommend then to anyone.

Used these pads with my Porter cable and loved them. These are thick and large pads and held up well during the polishing of my car. I washed them and there isn't any pieces coming of or signs of wear and tear so I'll get a few details out of these. If you want to cut a deeper though you may want to try a different pad. These worked great for polishing but for a car with more than some swirl marks you might try something else.

These Lake Country CCS pads are great. The orange is the workhorse. If you have swirls, need to buff out a scratch, oxidation, or want to bring the shine up from your paint, this is the pad. It is one step down from their most aggressive pad. I use this pad on my 2007 BMW Z4si with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound (a super gentle compound that I would consider to be more towards the polish end of the spectrum) then switch to the White if I am going to use the Meguiar's Ultimate Polish, then switch to the Red pad to apply Meguiar's Gold Class Carnuba Plus Liquid Wax. The drawback to these pads is that there are too many choices. You really only need three or possibly four if you want one of the Yellow pads to start out on a car that has been really neglected.

I've used Lake County pads for years with my Griot's DA polisher. These orange pads have a light cut and are perfect for light compounding. Could also be used with polish, but I prefer LC's white pad (no cut) for that step. Used with a good producted, LC pads can help you achieve a show-car shine even on your daily driver! The car pictured is my DD, (2013 G37xS with 33K miles) and was detailed using LC pads with Blackfire's line of car care products.

I love these pads, in fact it's the only medium cut pads we use now.
If you need less cut the pad can still do a great job by changing product to adjust the cut or lack of.
They really hold up well, the Velcro doesn't come apart like some pads do.
They work well on my Rupes 15, Flex 3401 and my Dewalt rotary.

Have used this pad multiple times on my cars, works great and no swirl tracks. I intend to buy some more in near future, very easy to install, easy to wash polish out after use and dries to original shape, very sturdy.

All the pads that i ordered from Chemical Guys work great! I was a little concerned about the hook and loop, but it holds way better than expected. I use a Makita buffer.
