DCB 203 - 2.0 Ah - 20 Volt XR premium yellow - thin
DCB 204 - 4.0 Ah - 20 Volt XR premium yellow - thick
DCB 205 - 5.0 Ah - 20 Volt XR premium yellow - thick
The thin ones are the same size and appx weight
The thick ones are the same size and appx weight
There have been major price variations on here. I have seen them sold on Amazon for as high as just under $200 for 2 and as low as $149 plus delivery which is the price as of the date of this review. I am sure they will drop some more. If you want the highest capacity available make sure you compare prices of the 204 and 205 then decide if the extra 1 Ah is worth it to you.

I bought two of these batteries to back up the one that came with my new Dewalt Reciprocating 20V Saw. My prior experience with cordless tools (about ten years ago) left me less than impressed. I think that I had a power drill that worked for maybe ten minutes before needing a recharge. But what I discovered during my research was that these new 5Ah batteries really put out a lot of power, Even though it was hard for me to believe the glowing reviews, I figured that it was worth the purchase if it worked out as well as advertised.
Now it's important to realize that I'm 64 years old and no longer a "spring chicken" but more like an old buzzard. However I still manage to cut and trim trees for 2-4 hours at a time. So with three fully charged 20V batteries, I began my trek into the wetlands to continue cutting down Brazilian Pepper trees. Previously I had used high quality hand saws, but the repetitive use had given me "tennis elbow" in my right arm. Chain saws are too dangerous to use in this particular wetland because conditions are too tight and the footing is uncertain.
These batteries last a LOT longer than I expected. In fact I had to quit after the first battery finally died. They definitely live up to their impressive reputation and I can highly recommend them for use in the Dewalt 20V saw.

I bought these two batteries, price being a factor. Having 9 DEWALT tools was another factor. I use them, a 'lot'. Having these 'extra' batteries will insure I always have at least one FULLY-CHARGED battery on standby. The I-hour charging helps, also

Can't beat these. Same size as the 3.0Ah & 4.0Ah, slightly heavier, but they go and go. The sawsall is probably the only tool that can kill them in under 20 minutes. Impact driver will go all day. Impact 1/2" drive with all day use, probably goes 1/2 a day. Skillsaw as a trim saw, i.e. not ripping thick ply, usually will make it all day.

Have only used them for a few weeks but so far they hold a charge and will last a long time under normal use with a drill or a saw. I have used the Ryobi brand for several years from the 12v to the 18v and like them a lot they are a great tool. but I just recently switched to Dewalt brand and they seem to hold up a lot better and the batteries seem at least so far to hold a charge a lot longer. I recommend these cant beat the price cheaper than the Dewalt web site and the free shipping on Prime is great.

Much greater run time than the old 3.0 and 4.0. Very glad to see these available, really helps when I'm doing larger jobs.

This is an outstanding product. I bought these for using with my reciprocating saw, circular saw, and jig saw. I used it on my reciprocating saw and made all the cuts I needed then used it the rest of the day on my impact driver and drill. It lasted all day on (1) charge

Love my DeWalt tools and these batteries make it possible for me to work all day without having to worry about recharging. High quality -- and really like the 'one touch level indicator'. Helps keep me from climbing up a tall ladder just as the battery runs out.

i skipped the 2,3 an 4 ah batteries and went right to 5 so i can't compare them. i built shelves using the 20v circular saw and the 5ah battery and didn't even take a light out on it. i also use the 5ah battery in the new battery vacuum and that thing kicks butt.

I run a circular saw and sawzall on these batteries. The battery life is good.
