It's not a bad starter set, but be warned - this nearly 6 inch blade can only cut through 3 inches of material. See picture. You lose length from the reciprocating action, the mounting area, and the distance from the blade-clamp to the face of the tool. I have a Dewalt DCS387B reciprocating saw in the picture.

These 6 DeWalt reciprocating wood cutting saw blades are the perfect touch to your saws wood cutting needs. I was very impressed with the quality that was put into this blade. In most cases I was using two blades to cut out a small hole in a wall with my sears blades but these blades hold up better and last longer. Best of all the price is right. You won't go wrong with these blades.

Recently removed a 275 gal. fuel oil tank from basement, involved sawing off 2 and 3 inch pipes. NO-Name blade died very soon, Milwaukee blade not much better, DeWalt blade made the cuts like NOW!, and still going strong, re-cut the pipe stubs, same blade. Price wise, one can probably find individual blades for a specific purpose locally. But this 6 pc item is not a bad deal.

I could not wait for these to arrive as I need the metal blade badly. These are good blades and do a very good job. I could not believe the blade worked its way thru the metal on a push lawn mower that was given to me. But the front of the thing was so low that it hung on everything in its path and I just simply took out about 1in of metal on the front between the wheels and " wha, la" it clears the grass and the ant mounds and it happend because of these blades. I know what you are thinking, a cutting torch would have worked. Well I am 72 and my hubby is no longer with me to do his hubby things for me so I figure these things out for myself and just get them done. These blades are a good buy and I will get more.

I bought this set of blade to compliment my purchase of a Dewalt DE304PK saw. This was a perfect starter set which provided a nice combination of blades for multiple uses.The plastic case if very handy to keep the blades organized and easy to find when I toss them into the saw case.
I am just an occasional DIY'er so these blades have not gotten a ton of use with one rather large exception. That was when we lost part of our wooden fence during a hurricane last fall. We decide to replace the entire 100' of fence rather than try to repair the broken sections of the old fence. The fencing company was going to charge us $300 to remove the old fence so I decided to save the bucks and do it myself. I loaded up one of the wood cutting blades and odd I went. I had no problem cutting old, weather treated wood posts for almost an hour and the single blade held up for the entire job. Now that's bang for the buck!

Quality is what I would expect from Dewalt products. It's a great buy and must for reciprocating saw. I bought these blades to help me build custom wood closets, with mainly wood cutting but also metal cutting for hanging rods. It's a good design, cuts fast and keeps it's edges. The blades are long lasting, and cuts smooth. Be careful while cutting - I had accidentally cut through MDF board and table I was using to cut the board on. It shows how sharp and quality blades these are. All in all it has been a good value.

If you just bought your first reciprocating saw, this is a great starter set of blades. It gives you a blade to cut just about any metal and wood. As you get more proficient with the tool and see what you use it for the most, you will be able to decide which style of blade works for you. And you can see if you need longer or shorter blades. I have an oscialating tool and it is great for many projects but it just doesn't have the guts of a a corded sawzall or convenience of my set of 14.4 volt Dewalt cordless tools. I am excited to see how much power and battery life the saw will have. It has never lacked power or torque with my drill, impact, impact driver, right angle drill, trim saw, light. I have been able to build quite a 14.4 DeWalt cordless tools set, by picking up bare tools here on Amazon or Ebay and since people are upgrading to 20v, people with 14.4v and especially 18v can get great deals. I won two tools on ebay that both came with charger and two batteries so now I have 4 chargers and 8 batteries and two oem batteries are nearly a 100 bucks so I got batteries and charger at half price with a free tool. .

I had three 10 year old semi-dwarf peach trees, one 20+ year old dogwood and a young pecan tree that I had to cut down due to storm damage. The peach trees were about 8 inches in diameter; the dogwood about 7 inches in diameter. I don’t have a chain saw. Being a middle age female, I would never have had the stamina to cut them down with a hand saw. I watched a couple of videos on youtube and thought, “I can do this”, and I ordered a Dewalt reciprocating saw. Never having used a reciprocating saw, I bent the tip of the first Dewalt blade right from the start. However, I was able to use the bent Dewalt blade on numerous limbs and branches - it never broke. With my electric Dewalt reciprocating saw, using the bent blade and one other Dewalt blade for the smaller limbs and branches and two of the Bosch 12 inch blades for the larger limbs and stump, I was able to take all 5 trees down to about an inch from the ground. These Dewalt blades preformed perfectly. Since felling these trees, I have ordered an additional package to have on hand. I highly recommend these Dewalt blades.

These blades are great, lasting at least 2x longer than the Porter Cable ones that came with my reciprocating saw (they fit the 18v Porter Cable perfectly). I’ve been using a wood and metal blade on everything from 2x4’s, lychee tree branches (dense wood), steel tubing, 40+ year old bed frames, and general kitchen demo. It’s held up and is still sharp. My only complaint is the need for a masonry blade, but wasn’t able to find one on Amazon, no demerits for a wish list.
