The Dorcy 41-2510 model flashlight is one of those rare products that I have been absolutely satisfied with.
Small and compact, lightweight, yellow for visability, comfortable rubber grip, rubber lens cap, and bright, white, long-lasting (apx 20 hrs on 3 AAs) LED light. And the carabineer clip is a big plus.
My wife and I enjoy the outdoors, and I had been looking for a flashlight that was waterproof, floats and is affordable. It's astounding how few flashlights meet those requirements. So when I found this model, I ordered three of them, and I can say I am absolutely satisfied with them. They have survived drops on the trail, and dunks in the lake with shining colors. They float in a horizontal position in very shallow water, and are genuinely waterproof.
I highly recommend the Dorcy 41-2510 waterproof, floating LED flashlight!

After 62 reviews for this flashlight, it sure did not need another. But I feel very strongly that this is important. If you or someone you care about has hand mobility issues or if lifting any sort of weight is difficult or close to impossible, then THIS IS FOR YOU. Just received this today & I have to tell you I can not believe the brightness of the light & the sheer "weightlessness" of it (I have big problems with that). I am able to get a good grip on this flashlight because of the black rubber-like sides.
I guess one reason for the "lightness" is that it only takes 3 AA batteries; a person my age only remembers flashlights that take several C or D cell, which suddenly become very heavy when you have physical issues. Also older flashlights had a button that would slide back & forth to turn on & off. If it got knocked around in a drawer the button could slide to the on position & you'd never know till you needed that flashlight that it went dead. No chance of that happening with this one; this has an easy to push on/off button.
I am buying another right now. Buy it, I swear it's GREAT!

Bought recently, and so far very good. Here's some info that (as of 10/27/10) is not included in product info above. Length about 6.5 inches. Body about 5 inches circumference, with head at widest about 8 inches around. Per icons on this Dorcy flashlight package, light output is 32 lumens, runtime 20 hours, beam distance 31 meters.

For a definition of these and other features, you can google "ANSI/NEMA FL-1 Standards" -- they help in comparison-shopping for flashlights.

This seems to be a good flashlight, and I will probably buy another. I like the partly yellow color -- easier to find than a solid dark color. Reasonably light-weight. Adequately bright light. But I prefer the larger and much brighter model I also recently bought via Amazon: Dorcy 41-4750 180-Lumen 4AA High Flux LED Cyber Light Flashlight.

I ordered two of these and am so impressed with how nice they are. I am now ordering three more of them - to keep one in each car and to keep a couple around the house.

You just can't beat the price at under seven - and w/LED lighting - are you serious??? This a no-brainer!!!

This design is also very practical and ingenious!

It's light weight, emits a bright light, able to float, and clips onto your pants loop w/the built in carabiner (wow - amazing).

It's small, too - so it's perfect for camping, boating, the car, or just have a couple around the house. My advice: you can never have too many flashlights (especially inexpensive LED).

This item is 5 stars all the way - although the only things that remain to be seen are 1) how long the included batteries will last (they feel kind of cheap - but no biggie); and 2) how long the flashlight itself will last (bulbs could go out or on/off switch could fail). If anything changes, I will update my review - till then - this is a solid purchase!

You might want to just save yourself some time and trouble and order several. This is the neatest flashlight ever- bright, long-range beam, easy to grip, comfy to hold, lightweight- with its bright color easy to find in low-light conditions. I take it to walk my dog and cats in the park nearby (it's dark, keeps everyone together). When I take my dog to other parks after dark, I attach it to my keyring, carry my keys that way. It's indispensable. I found myself continually going and getting it from the hook in the kitchen, for use in the garage, the back yard, the front yard, the car, everywhere, so I'm going to order several and save myself extra steps.

This little guy has already taken a good pounding, been dropped on concrete, left outside in the rain, with no ill effects whatsoever, still looks new (I can't tell you the scores of flashlights I've owned over the years, even supposedly heavy-duty ones, that gave up the ghost if you so much as looked at them wrong). Plus everyone who sees it or uses it wants one, so I'm stocking up for Christmas (they come with batteries and in different colors, though the price varies by color). GREAT little flashlight!

Update 4/15/15: Just replaced the batteries, after using daily all this time (it had dimmed by about 50%)- awesome.

I bought these for my kids to use camping and at night reading after lights out at home. We've had them for a few months and the flashlights work great! Easy for little fingers to use and night and bright. The kids love the clip on the end so they can hang the flashlight from their bunkbed. The flashlight really got tested the other night when my oldest had the stomach flu. I grabbed all the linens and threw them in the washing machine...along with the flashlight. OOPS!! I didn't realize it was in her bedding, but found it after the wash cycle had completed. It still works!!! For the price and the quality, I don't think you can get a better flashlight.

What can you say - a bright, waterproof, floating flashlight for under $10 from a reputable company. And batteries are included! I'm extremely impressed and would recommend this item to anyone looking for an entry-level, dependable light.

First this flashlight costs under $8 with free shipping and no tax. If you want a diving light they cost $50 and up. So do not use this for diving in salt water. If you drop it in a lake, a puddle, the bathtub, the sink or have it in a downpour it will be waterproof and will not let you down. Read the directions on most water proof watches and they tell you not to use them for diving. That being said this is a great little flashlight with 4 very bright LED's that make a usefull round floodlight that is great. When I fix things I can aim this light at the direction of what I am fixing and the flood light pattern makes for a good illuminated work area - actually better than a spotlight for fixing things. The batteries last a long time and the caribineer clip is helpful. It costs less than $8 and is a wonderful product for this price. I had my light float in the bathtub for an hour and it was fine. If the kids eventually destroy it then I guess I will spend another $8 - so I give it 5 stars.
