Nice sharp pruning shears! Feels good in either hand. I have large hands and these are easy to use. I have some weakness in my right arm and hand due to a sports injury but I am still able to use these shears. Made of durable materials and made to last. The spring feature assists in opening the blades and I can keep pruning and cutting stems and medium sized growth for longer periods without requiring frequent rest breaks.

Blades are very sharp and are able to cut through all kinds of greenery in our garden. I spend a lot of time gardening all year round and I expect this to be one of my go-to tools because it works very effectively. Also requires minimum maintenance to make this tool last.

The locking hook at the end is a good safety feature. It's easy to lock this pruner closed when not in use or for storage. The hook of the latch is big and easy to use flip on or off as needed. I am pleased with this product.

These were perfect for trimming up my rose garden. Garden shears from HIG for pruning with a v spring design. Easy to use comfortable to hold and can easily lock to keep them closed while not in use. Has a nice non slip grip to the handles, makes it nice when your sweating, so they dont slip outta your hand while pruning your plants, crop or bushes. These cut through the rose bushes very easily with no effort. I was also able to use them on a few bushes in the back yard that needed some cleaning up. Surprisingly these made my job easy.

I recommend these, they are perfect for your garden and won't cost you an arm and a leg. I am not disappointed with them.

I was counting the days for these shears to finally arrive. As soon as I received it I started working on my lawn. It has been a long winter and my yard was waiting for a good clean up, between the weeds, branches , and overgrown bushes I was ready. It came completely packed and protected. At first, my concern was how well it would work on roses and thick weeds. Much to my surprise I was thrilled ....very easy, handles cuts extremely well with not a lot of pressure. Great for trimming some overgrowth and not heavy so it's not a problem. I will be using these all summer so I will keep you posted. Finally pruning clippers that actually work and easy to handle .... My yard will be looking good this summer.

Last year I finally lived in a place that I could have a garden in my back yard. I never really gardened before, so it was a learning experience. I borrowed my mother-in-laws pruning shears because I didn't have any. She has the old fashioned ones that work great and they don't seem to make that style anymore.

When I saw these I decided to order them so I would be prepared for my garden this year. These shears are VERY nice - I was quite pleased when I got them. They are heavy which tells me they are made of good material that will last (but not so heavy that they are cumbersome). They have rubber handgrips that make them more comfortable. There are normal phillips head screws in the handle, so if they should become loose they will be easy to tighten.

The are very sharp and cut wonderfully. They also have an easy locking mechanism on the base of the handle for safety. The mechanism is easy to use - you don't have to fight with it to latch or unlatch it. These are a wonderful addition to my gardening tools!

 In my experiences with pruning shears, simpler is better -- and that's what you get here. These don't have hang guards and they don't have special titanium blades. But they work well and the powerful spring makes their action really nice. Oil them up after use and they should last a lifetime, like any well-made tool.

Sharpening can be done via a file or v-shaped pull sharpener, as you just need to do the top moon-shaped blade. These have a good feel in the hand and a simple closure clip. I like them simply because they're no-nonsense.

I tried to find the cheapest shears possible, and these came up. They do have a fairly strong chemical type smell, probably from lubricant. But man, can they cut! I used them to trim away some bushes near my walkway, and I believe they would easily snip off a finger if you're not careful (or intentionally getting rid of your fingerprints after your typical bank robbery). Ok, kidding about the bank robbery, don't rob banks, that's not nice. Great shears at a good price. I'm very satisfied with them and I can use my walkway again without being tickled.

 I received my Garden Shears HIG Pruning shears a few days ago. I had been looking for a pair of shears this size. We have two pairs that are big and hard to handle sometimes. I have a lot of trimming to do on some smaller li​mbs and these were perfect. They are made very well.and extremely sturdy. I love the feel of these. They didn't hurt my hands like I had originally thought might happen. Tested first on my cedar tree in my front yard and they worked fantastically. Then I tried on my rose bush and it worked great. I'm very pleased with these shears.

 Wow these are nice and sharp! Cut like a champ it was effortless to cut back my plants and tree in the front yard! Make sure I you have kids to keep these put away. They are nice and easy to use came to me sharp and ready to use. Packing was easy to get into. I did receive this at a discounted price to do an honest review and honestly I love it! I am recommending these to all my gardening friends this will be a nice addition to anybody who loves the outdoors!

I really like these pruning shears and am impressed with how well they work. I have arthritis in my right thumb and have issues with some shears. I have no issues at all using these and I'm sure that is because of the V spring and how sharp they are. As you will see in my video, I cut through some pretty thick branches and they worked perfectly. These sheers are thick & durable but aren't too heavy to handle. I also like how easy the safety lock is to use and keeps them secure while not in use. I do have to note that they stink when you take them out of the package. REALLY stink!! It is the oil that is used on them but I didn't know that at first. I did take a clorox wipe to them before I used them as I didn't want oil all over my hands. It did help a little with the smell. I won't let that affect my review though because these things are pretty darn awesome and will be getting a ton of use in our garden & yard.
All in all, these are really wonderful shears and I am so happy to have them. I'm pleased that I was able to purchase these at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review.
