These shears are heavy-duty, well constructed, and work great! The blades are sharp and measure just over 2.25". There is a sliding Lock/Unlock device (the black round thing between the blades and handles) for safety, though it is not actually marked with "Open" & "Lock" like in the product pictures. The steel feel like it goes through the entire length of the handles, which adds to the heavy-duty construction. The handles also have a non-slip coating over them, but this coating doesn't add much at all in the way of cushioning. (This wasn't a big deal for me since I wear gloves when I garden/do yard work, which provide enough cushion & comfort for me.) I really like how cleanly and easily these shears cut through even thicker (0.5") branches. Overall, this is a great set of yard shears and I would recommend them to others. I did receive a complimentary sample pair to test in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.

These pruning shears are bigger and better than I had expected. I have tons of pruning to do in my yard and garden and I go through a lot of pruners trying to find the ones that will cut nice and hold up and not hurt my hands. These pruners are great. They cut right through stems and branches and big weeds. They are sharp and do not get stuck in branches. The blades are very thick and solid - all steel construction, made very durable. There's a self cleaning groove that helps keep anything from sticking. The maximum cutting capacity is 5/8" - which is perfect for me, anything larger needs a saw anyway. They are rust-resistant blades. The handles have non-slip grips so your hand does not slip from the pruner while cutting. They are comfortable in my hands and so far I have not gotten any blisters from using these. Everything on these shears is quality made. There is not a ton to be said about these gardening shears. They are fairly nice quality, and they work rather well. There is nothing particularly remarkable about them, but they are better than some I have spent more on at local hardware stores. The best part is that the cutting edges are aligned to close into each other which makes them much better at cutting thinner more flexible branches. The lock mechanism could be a little more ergonomically designed but it is easy enough to operate and works fine. The only slight downside is the handle covers are not very well secured. They could be designed a bit better or at least glued on better. Regardless, for the price you can’t beat them. There is no real need to waste money on anything better.

The shears cut easily through both thick and thin stems. A nice traditional pruning shears are definitely going to be my go to shears for my garden this season. The blades are very sharp and I haven't had a problem cutting through anything yet. The grips are comfortable and are made of a durable foam that feels good in my hands. They are durable and I feel they would last a long time. The steel is a good heavy duty. These have a sliding lock mechanism on it, thats great for storage . Overall, I think these are a great set of pruning shears and I'm happy with my purchase.

This review is for the iGarden, Traditional Bypass Pruning Shears. They are heavy weight pruning shears, able to cut through almost anything in your yard or garden. I used this to prune suckers from a tree greater than the diameter of my finger with very little force. They look like they are well made and should last many years. I used them to keep my bushes pruned in the yard. I have a much lighter weight pruner that only does half the job of these shears.

These iGarden pruning shears are really good quality. I have a ton of shrubs and large bushes on my property that always need to be pruned. For big jobs I use my electric shears, but for quick maintenance I prefer to use a good hand held pruning sheer just to trim up small stuff.
These come packaged nicely in an easy to open package, which I appreciate. The sheers have a nice grippy handle and the metal cutting part seems to be really good quality. I put them to work trimming up some bushes on the side of my house and the random growth that was shooting out of my holly bushes in the front of the house. These work great. They were really sharp and cut though everything with no effort. I did about an hour of trimming with them and they never got clogged up or had any issues.
For safety these have a locking mechanism, which is different than I've seen before, but I like it. It's a little slider in the middle and honestly it's easier to use than the ones that you swing around to latch the shears closed, which are on the other pair I own.
Overall these are really good quality and seem like they will last a long time since they have no cheap plastic on them. I highly recommend these. Please know that I received these in return for my fair and honest review. If you have any questions about these, please let me know.

This set of shears are very well made and sturdy! Sharp right out of the package! These shears cut easily through rose bushes, grapevines, pretty much any other type of thicker branch that scissors couldn't cut. Great addition to my gardening tools and the fact that it has a lifetime warranty, couldn't get much better than that! Highly recommended!

I'm new to gardening but these scissors make it seem to easy!
They are so sharp and easy to use! You just gently squeeze on the handle and those odd branches are gone.
I've used them around the house too. I was doing some DIY and I had to cut some TV cables. These scissors did a perfect job.
I like the "safety" feature. You can lock the blades so the scissors are safe to carry around or even just for storage. I don't have kids but I would imagine it wouldn't be safe for them to run around a pair of sharp open scissors.
What's more, the scissors are very well made and from high quality materials. I think they will last quite a while.
You should have noticed the lifetime guarantee that the seller offers - that is a pretty big commitment and it is saying something.

When gardening, I need to trim thick or woody stems. This is a good pruner, and is one of the most invaluable tools in my gardening shed.

•Ease of repair - these can easily be repaired with a screw driver
