All I can say is wow. I paired this with the Meguiar's DA polisher and this transformed my black car. My paint was in horrible shape and it has bothered me since I bought it. Didn't want to pay $450 that was quoted from a detailer to correct the paint. This stuff works really well. I have had to go over the car pretty extensively but the results are amazing. All but some of the deep scratches were able to be removed and I am a novice at this stuff. It really is able to do some significant paint correction safely on factory paint. Extremely pleased.

The picture doesn't show a profile view and the description doesn't mention this, but the foam backing on this pad is the thin, closed-cell variety. The alternative is thicker open-cell foam backing.
The lower-profile and denser closed-cell backing enables more of your polisher's power to transfer to the paint/clear surface. This means you can cut with either less force or less time than with open-cell foam backed pads. However, keep in mind that less "give" means you'll probably need to be more careful around sharp edges.
If you have a hard surface and are not getting rid of swirls marks with a regular firm foam pad, then give this MF pad a try. It definitely has more cutting power.

Used this with some super fine polishes (Mezerna 4500, meguiars ultimate polish) to perform final polish , aka "jeweling" step on my paint.
I've used the finishing and cutting discs and compared to older tech "micro fiber" pads like the Surbuf, the meguiars turned out to be a joy to use. Very minimal shedding unlike surbuf. I can't explain it but the pad just feels "smoother" to use.
The results were incredible.. Using this with a fine polish as a 3rd step after your compound+polish will really make your paint pop.

Bought this kit and the meguires DA to detail my black care.
Car came out awesome.
Pads came up well after washing so can be reused.
Bottles are great to use and have no mess closures.
I highly recommend this product.

These are great pads. Worked excellent with my porter cable DA buffer with polish and wax.
I'm surprised these weren't thought of sooner and that there are not a million versions on the market. These are sooooo much better than foam pads, in my opinion, for my usage. (YMMV)
Just wish they were a bit cheaper...

Great pads, I prefer these to the foam pads any day for cutting and polishing. These seem to wear much better than foam too, the MF and the backing are very securely fastened. Just spray them out with compressed air every time you reapply polish and it'll keep the nap on the pads fresh.

I used these cutting pads with a Rupes 21 and Menzerna FG400, with outstanding results. Nice cutting ability with less dusting that foam pads. The one downside is that given the nature of the pad, the microfiber pad is tougher to clean than the foam pads. So for a sizable job, you'd likely need more than 2 pads.

I'll be honest: Other than a few truly new innovations like clay bar, and spray-on touch-up wax, I thought paint protection and restoration technology had made only minor improvements since the 60s.
Well, Mequiar's has done it again.
About 3 years ago I stocked up on full-sized Meguiar's compounds necessary to keep my non-clear-coated Dakar Yellow '95 BMW M3 protected from the elements, as I don't have a garage, and butter-yellow enable finish is already one of the most oxidize-prone colors out there (next to perhaps Henna Red). I had it all: clay bars, a gallon of Last Touch detailer, ScratchX deep restoration compound, SwirlX restoration process swirl remover, ColorX paint cleaner/polish, Mirror Glaze #7, PlastX plastic polish (for the plastic headlamp covers), Techwax wax, and Ultimate Detailer spray-on touch-up wax.
I was over at a friend's house at a group car detailing Sunday and when I pulled out my box of stuff, my friend threw the brakes on and said "oh you have to try the newest generation of stuff - it blows these out of the water!" I then proceeded to use the products directly in this kit, and became more astounded at the continued R&D of Meguiar's with every rotation of the Porter Cable 7424X DA orbiter I was applying this stuff with.
I could wax poetic (pun always intended) about the advancement of these paint maintenance products for pages and pages, but take it from someone who owns both oxidize-prone non-clear-coated enamel-painted cars (original paint pushing 20 years now) and new clear-coated models, and this newest Meguiar's kit provides a level of mirror-like final finish quality and lasting water and UV barrier protection that none of the products from a few years ago could dream of, and it does it at a reduced number of applicator steps.
Do yourself a favor and purchase this kit and the Porter Cable 7424XP DA or the Griot's Garage DA (depending on your style choice, they are both fine units) and prepare to be amazed.

The Meg's DA Microfiber system is awesome! I've used it on a few different vehicles with excellent results. If you haven't done much paint correction before, I've found the learning curve a lot smoother to start with using this system as opposed to diving right in to the world of myriads of different foam pads and compounds. Just two steps, two pads, and the result is amazing, even on black finishes with tons of swirls. Just follow Meguiar's directions and see the results. Highly recommended.

Very good product. Works great with my new Harbor Freight DA buffer. I was able to polish my 26' Ebbtide, fiberglass boat using Meguiar's Flagship Cleaner/wax in under two hours. Pad works like new after all that. Great stuff!
