I bought this frisbee, so that me and my fellow soldiers here in Iraq would have something to at night other than work. I have had this toy for just five days, and we have probly logged over 15 hours of night fun. The light is bright and easy to see at night, with no noticable dimming within the first 15hrs. Due to the weight the frisbee flies great in the wind here. Quite possibly the best frisbee ever, and definatly worth the $$$.

I picked up one of these flying discs just a couple of weeks ago. I have a green one, but they are available in red, blue, and multicolors as well. It's a well made American product---which makes this disc an easy choice over the competition---that flies straight and does not hurt to catch (at least with the hand).
After a few missed catches, a few collisions with trees, and landing in the road, the Flashfligh never blinked. It seems sturdy, unlike some other light-up discs that didn't last through a weekend.
The LED makes it easy to spot without being distracting, so catching the disc is easy and finding it, not a matter to be taken lightly during a late evening endeavor, is effortless (as long as the light is turned on).

I'm a bit picky about frisbees and there are quite a few "light up" frisbees to choose from. Choose wisely because not all are the same. They differ by weight, light up design and actual frisbee size (size and weight are generally standard combinations in frisbees, but with the light up designs they are not the same because the frisbees carry additional weight from the battery/light installed on the frisbee), so picking a good one can be next to impossible to do online since you can't see and hold it.
This particular model is the best I have found. It is an appropriate weight, 185 grams and with a proper competitive molding/lip. (some of the models out there have a slim lip similar to frisbee golf discs - and the weight is such that it can only be thrown short distances or it will curve in flight b/c of its light weight nature). This model would work for those into "Ultimate Frisbee". It flies well, can handle long tosses well, has a great feel to it and is durable. Easy to see.

It is a bit bulky of a button though - I personally like the slimmer switch designs of other models, but i haven't had any issues with this one, so it's more personal preference.

It's hard to sell a night-time product in the day-time and pictures can do some justification. BUT! this disc is so unbelievably cool in the dark of night that it literally gave us that "wow" factor where our heads turned and looked at each other in amazement after the first throw. Well, several hours later we were still laughing, running and enjoying the pure entertainment of playing in the park at night.

This frisbee has been a fun activity for my wife and I as well as some of the neighbors. In fact, one of my neighbors ended up buying a Night Ize disc of a different color. I believe the battery can be replaced on the push button on/off. The disc is light in weight considering it has LEDs and a battery. It flies like any other frisbee. I have the disc in red, which is a nice color at night...not harsh on the eyes. It hasn't ever blinked or turned off and then back on after many collisions with the ground or trees. I hope this review helps you in your decision.
The disc is probably not as bright as the 2nd picture I attached indicates. The disc has several thin strips of light coming from the center to the ends of the disc (see the 3rd picture). However, when the disc is thrown, it appears as if the whole disc is lit up.
UPDATE: The battery still has a charge after a year and a half of use off and on.

This thing is so much fun fun fun fun fun fun!!!!!!!! lol. I have the disco version that changes colors and its so much FUN!!! However, I would advise getting glow sticks or something in order to see who you are throwing to at night.

5 stars today for a high flying frisbee that catches a lot of attention! I've found that it's easy to use and easy to throw which makes night time frisbee fun! Now the only issue is tripping in the dark. I've owned it for about 6 months now and used it very often with my nephews and nieces, who are young and don't quite have good throwing technique yet, so its taken some abuse. Only recently has the LED had flickering problems. I will buy a replacement when this one dies out and recommend it to anyone.

2 years ago me and my friends were browsing for frisbees we could play with during the night time. We typed in "light up frisbee" and this flourescent device appeared on our computer screen. Our eyes glowed up as we read the description and the price. A frisbee you can play with in the dark? For only 20$? No way. There must be a catch.
There was a catch. It was the best catch I've ever made. My friend threw me the frisbee and I couldn't help but smile as I caressed it in my palm.
The weight was perfect. At first hold I thought that the frisbee was more on the heavy side but once I threw it it sliced through the air like a hot knife slices through butter. As it majestically glided through the air I thought, "Wow. This must be what a mother bird feels like when she releases her first born into the air for it's first flight."
As we were making our purchase, we noticed several color options. We couldn't decide on a specific color so we figured the best option was to buy them all. Every night I was amazed with the beautiful florescence they delivered. The blue frisbee lit up the sky like a UFO floating in our neighborhood.
They each had their ups and downs throughout the years. Slamming and scraping into concrete, landing into a pool, and getting stuck in our cranky neighbor Bill's backyard. This was where the frisbee was tested most. Can it withstand being abused by 16 year olds?
The answer is yes.
This frisbee is the perfect choice for anyone, old or young.

My friends and I are obsessed with kanjam. This was the solution to keeping the games going after dark. We've ABUSED this frisbee. If you're not familiar with kanjam it involves swatting the frisbee to the ground mid flight. It's taken a beating and keeps going. Worth every penny.

I have been playing with this Frisbee for over 2 months and played with it enough to now finally write a review.
I play Frisbee on a recreational level and have played with many kinds of discs. This, however, is my first light-up disc. I got it to play at night time at a park field.
Overall, this product is incredibly fun! Never had any problems with visibility because it is bright enough to see across an entire football field. With a simple push of a button, the LED in the center of the disc lights up and has multiple fiber optic like wires running to the edges so while it's rotating in flight, it looks like a complete circle. It is flawlessly balanced and flies great.
Compared to the other official Ultimate Frisbee discs, it is made of a much softer plastic. This is absolutely no problem at all, and actually makes it easier to throw and less painful to catch.
If you're looking to play Frisbee in darker conditions, this is the Frisbee you need to buy. I have the solid red LED color. I've played with it for about 10 hours and the battery has yet to give out.
