I started to write a review for this, then I decided that I would give the Video Review function a try. So I made a video review of these, it seems like a perfect use of the video review function. Below are some of my general comments and thoughts on the product, however if you watch you video, it's pretty to get all the information you need to know about them.
Prior to finding these, I had some small keychain style dog blinkers, I don't remember the brand. The old ones kept turning off, even after getting them exchanged. I also tried several styles of key chain flash lights that frequently broke and turned of while the dogs were walking.
Then I found these and decided to try them for christmas. I have 4 of them and so far they have been working very well. They are fairly bright for what they are, however when your walking in a very dark area, it would be nice if they were brighter.
They do take a little bit of pressure to turn on and off, so it may be a little difficult for some people with arthritic hands to turn on and off. The dog will deffinatly not turn them off on there own on accident.
My only complaint about them is that one of the lights I have out of 4 is running a little dimmer than the others for some reason. I don't know if I just have a bad batter or what happened. It still functions, it is just a bit dimmer than the others.
Overall I am quite happy with the product and I am consindering purchasing some additional Spotlit LEDs from them in red to make us even more visable when walking at night.

Found this item at a local pet store. Was looking for a light that we could clip to our dog's collar for walking after dark. Wanted the item to feel sturdy, be nice looking, and not too bulky. This light is perfect. Bought the blue and it's amazingly bright! We can easily be seen on our walks now. The only complaint I have is that the instructions on the package don't tell you that you have to activate the item to take it out of test mode. It kept turning itself off until I discovered on the company website that you need to press and hold the item on for about 10 seconds until it flashes. And then the light will actually stay on.

I have two airedale terriers and let them into the back yard at night, where there is very little light. The one loved to sneak over and try to get in the pond, and being so dark it was hard to keep tabs on her. I tried using a regular flashlight, but sometimes the neighbors would think people were trying to break into the house.
I bought two of the white Nite Ize and clipped them to both the dogs collars. I leave one on blink and the other on solid. It is simple to keep track of them. They put off enough light so I can see if they are trying to get into anything on the ground, and also to tell if they are going to the bathroom. I think they like them since they are able to see where they are going easier. It isn't too much light as to be a beacon for the entire neighborhood, but enough to be useful.
The lights are small enough to leave on their collar all the time. The power button is hard enough to push so they wont be able to turn them off or on while shaking or playing. Make sure to hold the button when you first get them, as to turn it off of the testing mode. After that they stay on fine for 10+ minutes.
Cheapest and most useful purchase I have made lately.

Coming straight out of the package, at first glance, I didn't like them. They looked cheap. Once I took them out of the package, and started looking at them, I came to find they are actually VERY durable and decently bright. Having two large dogs who love to play pretty rough, who wrestle each other and would prefer to carry their collars around in their mouths rather than actually wear them, the concern comes into play of worrying whether or not the light would be torn off or not. I really like how the metal piece is completely surrounded around the light rather than a little metal piece holding it together. I ordered the red light. It has two options. Flashing or Solid. Shipping was great came within 2 days. Will try to post pic of light @ night tonight.

The best thing I have purchased. I bought a long with a lighted safety collar. The 2 put together is AMAZING! You not lose him. He can be spotted everywhere on our property and so can our neighbors. As well be seen from anyone driving which is great being that we do not have streetlights. I highly recommend this product and give it 5 stars!!!!

I have a black lab, and have tried several collar lights. I find this one to be the best BY FAR.
To acknowledge the negatives in other reviews first:
1) yes, it is hard to turn on/off. If you have arthritis or reduced hand strength, you should consider another alternative. But I like that it does not turn on accidentally, so this works for me.
2) battery life. As with ANY cheap electronic product from overseas, you run the risk of the batteries dying fairly quickly. But, mine have lasted several weeks of constant use, so no complaints from me. I would be very surprised if you find any collar light that guarantees battery life. If that is your expectation, be prepared for disappointment with every other product as well.
3) you cannot choose colours, "disco" means the colours cycle through the spectrum in a fixed pattern and you cannot change it or choose the colour. If you don't like that, perhaps a solid colour alternative would be better.
Now, the positives:
1) excellent build quality. Waterproof, very sturdy clip, high-durability rubber. I have lost several other lights from them simply coming off the collar. This one will stay on, with most of the clip integral to the light body, and the clasp a sturdy piece of spring wire. I have no worries that this one will fall off the collar! I don't think you see any negative reviews talking about the actual light unit itself breaking. The negative reviews are all for other reasons than build quality.
2) Bright and visible. The opaque rubber coating acts as a diffuser, so the light is dispersed and not concentrated on a narrow axis as is so common with other LED products. It is also pointed parallel to the ground, not AT the ground as many others are. This means you can see the actual light from a distance. Almost all others hang from the collar and point the light AT THE GROUND. So it illuminates the ground well, but not good for seeing the light from a distances. This one is designed to send light out, not down.
Overall I think this is excellent value for money, and I would still buy this even if I had to replace the batteries in a few days. I know that once I replaced the batteries I wouldn't have to worry about anything else going wrong.
Mostly I am happy about how visible this light is compared to all the ones I have used prior to this.

We live in northern Wisconsin. Our home is located in a heavily wooded area. My daughter's Schnauzer stayed with us for 2 weeks and we needed to keep an eye on him when he went out before retiring for the night. The SpotLit Clip-on LED was easily attached to his collar and was a little beacon in the woods. We were very happy with this choice.

Works as advertised. I take my tiny dog on long walks at night and this helps me see him easily when he is off leash inside the dog park. Highly recommend! Will buy more if this breaks but it seems sturdy enough to last a while. I love that the batteries are replaceable. Kind of hard to turn on/off (hard to press the switch) but once you get used to it, it should be fine.

I have one that is more than a year old with original batteries. I like them so much I got another.
I mainly use these as tent lights. One provides plenty of light for my big car camping tent while preserving night vision and diffuse enough to prevent tent shadows. I clip it on the loft and leave it on as soon as it's dark. At bedtime, it goes out. I have put a lot of time on these.
I also clip it on my grandson at night. It is for tracking him, not for a personal light. This is NOT a flashlight.
I have been more than happy with probably a dozen or more Nite Ize products.
