Until now, I've had a little dollar store flashlight that (needless to say) has always been fritzy. Even so, I've been taking it with me when I take my dogs on their evening walk. I jumped on the chance to review this, as it would be nice to have a flashlight that works sufficiently and is bright enough that I don't have to sweep it around to get a full view. First of all, it's nice that this includes not one or two, but 4 mini flashlights, and that they are all different colors (I like variety.) Also, I keep three in the house and one in my car for emergencies. Second, they all have a wrist strap which is convenient for me, as I hang one up with the dog's leashes when not in use. Third, the beam they emit is both bright and wide! (I've included a picture for reference. The beam picture is from about 6 feet away, but is wider as you move farther back. It's great!) I didn't expect the wide beam, but it's much appreciated when walking in my neighborhood at night, as certain street lights are out and make those areas particularly dark. I have two chihuahuas, so I prefer to keep track of them even when they're leashed. Finally, I like that the on/off button is textured rubber and it is easy to press without having to fumble. All in all, I really like these, and am glad I was able to review them.

These are the cutest little flashlights. I can’t really run out of places that I might need these. They came really quick and in a nice little box. I have a couple of these already but they are a little bigger. These are smaller and much easier to tuck in places where I might need them. My five year old just loves playing with them. At first I couldn’t figure out where the battery might be but I was really tired. My son just pulled the casing out which holds the battery compartment. Pretty genius! I like that is uses regular batteries. These are very bright and can quite literally nearly blind you. I am very pleased that I ordered these. I did receive these flashlights free in exchange for my unbiased and honest review of the product. My opinions are 100 percent my own.

I bought a pack of these to put one in my car, one next to the couch where I knit, and one next to my bed. They provide a nice bright, diffuse LED light. The AAA batteries go in easily. No problem with any of the flashlights, so I bought two more packs and have given some as small gifts. Very useful and a good price. No problems with them, they work fine! Nice colors and a good feel. I particularly like the large button at the end.

Great for hiking, lightweight so it doesn't add much to your pack. Takes three AAA's so I keep two in the rucksack for those early morning hikes.Its nice and bright so I keep one in my car, one in my emergency bag and two in my hiking pack.

Love these mini flashlights. Good for all kinds of application. Used it in a trip to Africa to find our trail in the wilderness, by bedside for trips to bathroom in the middle of the night, on the airplane to find stuff tucked away. Very bright and very convenient. Highly recommend!

I ordered these as a little "happy" for my sons' teachers. I attached a little note that said something cutesy like "You Brighten My Day." I include all of their teachers--2 art, 2 PE, 2 music, librarian, guidance--so I need something inexpensive but substantial. These little lights are powerful and compact. They would be great in the drawer of your bedside table to have in case the power goes out, in your car or purse, etc. The light is VERy bright! I was glad there were extras for me to have.

These flashlights are similar to most of the other inexpensive 9 diode flashlamps on the market now:

1. The machining is pretty rough -- which you can feel when you screw/unscrew the battery cover.(... no big deal, because you're now likely to use these things enough to wear the threads, and if you do a light coating of grease will make them run more smoothly)
2. They're pretty clearly not watertight (... but that's not much of a problem, because they're tight enough so they can be used in most appications that don't involved underwater use or standing water)
3. They don't include batteries (... but that's OK, because the crappy non-alkaline batteries that come with flashlights that do have horribly short lives and often leak; using your own alkaline batteries is the right thing to do)
4. They run warm, but not hot (... this is understandable if you compare their light output to similar flashlights; these are noticeably brighter, which means that they're being driven harder and heating up the electronics more -- not surprising or alarming; if you're worried about them, turn each one on for 5 or 10 minutes to see if the temperature rise is too high for your taste -- i.e., if the case temperature gets much above about 120F)
5. They're inexpensive and you won't get hurt badly financially if you lose one.

Bottom line: good portable, bright, white lights for use around the house and campground. Don't bet your life on them, but

This is a great little set of mini flash lights. the light is very bright. They do not come with the 3 AAA batteries. I ordered them to go with a tool kit I am putting together. The price was so right, I figured I would put one in each car, and near the candles in the house. Everyone needs a flash light with a tool kit, as you need to get into the dark spots. This fits in you hand and will fit in the little spaces you need to work in.
