I've had the porter cable drill since sometime in 2009 and it seems both batteries are finally crapping out on me. I'm glad I found this battery because it's a really great value and it looks exactly like the original batteries that came with the drill (they are in fact the same battery model, so no surprise they look the same).
I was surprised that the battery came almost fully charged, but I did go ahead and top it off anyways.
So far I've used it and charged it several times with no issues. What more can you ask of a battery?
Now I will admit, I've seen some good holiday sales that had a new drill with two new batteries for only $90, which is tempting since the battery costs almost half that... something to think about.

Works well. Replaced my lithium pack with this, since a new lithium pack was about 80 bucks. BTW, Porter Cable - it's kind of a douhebag move to charge 80 bucks for a replacement lithium battery, when the entire drill, bag, charger and TWO lithium batteries all together was $150. Taking a page from the HP playbook and overcharging for the consumables, I see...

Much better price than at the local stores. It is aggravating that every tool maker uses proprietary battery configurations to eliminate competition in the replacement battery market. Also aggravating that year after year they come out with increased voltage tools and batteries which makes the older ones hard to find and very expensive (so you will just buy new tools)
UPDATE: One battery got stuck in my screwdriver and couldn't remove. Even breaking the screwdriver apart to save the battery didn't work....the battery socket came out and still has the screwdriver post in it. DON'T BUY THESE. I returned battery but lost the screwdriver.

I've only used the battery for two projects, but i have had no issues with it. It charges well and fits in the tools as it should. Unlike other batteries bought on Amazon for other tools, this does not appear to be a 3rd party or refurbished battery. It came in the same retail bubble packaging that you would find at Lowes, but for 60% of their price. Highly recommended.
I will update this review if I run into any trouble, but I don't foresee that happening.

They work like they should, brand new in sealed factory packaging. I have a drill/circular saw combo and the batteries went out after 8 years of occasional heavy use. I hate the fact that usually its a better value to just recycle your tools and buy a new set with new batteries rather than buy replacement batteries. I found these in a 2 pack on Amazon at a great price. New life for my tools and saved me a bundle of cash!

Replacement batteries for our Porter Cable tools. Batteries seem to be exactly what we needed and are holding up well so far. I do love that they have a 3 year warranty though I'm not entirely certain how that works if the batteries stop taking a charge but I did put a sticker with the purchase date on this one in case I have to find out. I'm not certain batteries are actually covered under their warranty.

I only buy Porter Cable tools b/c they last. The battery purchase replaced the original one that came with the drill. I purchased the drill 6 years ago so I feel I have gotten my moneys worth out of the one battery.
Probably going to buy 1 more so I have 3 total. Could come in handy with the summer projects planned.

The batteries on cordless drills always go out it seems while the drill is still in good shape. Either the batteries cost more than a new drill or the new battery doesn't fit or doesn't work. I got burned on that with my previous cordless drill. The batteries had died. I order a replacement (not from Amazon)and it was not the same as the original. It wouldn't charge and wouldn't run the drill. For the current drill, I was working out side and got caught in a hard rain and evidently shorted out one of my batteries. Having gotten burned before I hesitated to order another but the description of this battery and the ones that came with the drill were the same, same model number and the photo appeared the same so I took the chance and ordered it. Same battery as the originals, charged well, works fine in the drill. I may order another one because I keep thinking by the time the older one quits taking a charge, a new one may not be available.

Replacement batteries are sometimes hard to come by and if you have a lot of money invested in 18v equipment it is better to buy replacement batteries that a whole new set of drills and saws. Batteries work great and supply plenty of power for Porter Cable equipment.

These are the real deal. Mine are from 2009 and I use my batteries in spurts. I typically do not store them in the garage unless I'm busy working with them over a few weeks here and a couple weeks there. These battery take and hold a charge well. They do have some heft to them, so depending on your use you may notice fatigue in your forearms.
