I bought some of these (at a higher price I might add) last fall before tearing out my bathroom. Used them in the 5 gallon "quiet" model shop vac that I got from Ace Hardware on sale last fall when my 2 Gallon model burned out. They keep the inside of the vac canister completely clean, and no drywall dust getting through the filter or around the rubberband. I left the foam filter on, just in case... It stayed completely clean as well. The specs indicate these bags would also be okay for cleaning up spilled copier toner, something that most vac bags or filters will just spew back into the air. And they seem to take a long time to fill up or plug up.
At the 9.99 Amazon price I just ordered three more packs.

This product is a god-send. For years I've been buying the bag/sheets over the foam filter. I've dealt with the dust that always puffs out of the exhaust of the vacuum after hitting the one switch. I recently lost my sister and used her shop-vac to clean her apartment, I was impressed that it never shot any dust out the exhaust...Until I went to empty it and found that it had a bag like these. I have sense replaced ALL three of my shop-vacs (all different sizes, for different jobs) with this bag system, which is a lot better than the bag/sheet over the filter. It still require the foam sleeve, but it works soooo much better. The only thing that my sister shop-vac had that I have yet to purchase for my other shop-vacs is a corrugated filter (kind of like a car filter). I will say that I feel better using her vac in the house because it has power and has an excellent filter system. I only wish I knew about these type of bags and how much better they work than what can with the shop-vac. No more turning the vacuum on outside then bringing it inside to avoid the dust cloud settling on my stuff. If you are not using these bags in your shop-vac, you should be! :)

My lungs are important, but I don't have a lot of money so I can't afford $500 dust collection systems.
These are the only bags I use, and use in conjunction with Ultra-Web Cartridge Filter for Wet or Dry Pickup for high efficiency purposes. It's perfect for sanding drywall mud. There is a substantial difference in airborne dust reduction using these than other brands or even the regular "white" filter shopvac bags. I've tried quite a few out there so trust me, theres nothing that comes close at this price point.
They usually go on sale for $8.94 on Amazon. Store prices are $14-17. I only buy them at the lower price on here and stock up.
I also wear the 3M Half Facepiece Reusable Respirator 7500, Respiratory Protection with its assortment of filters. I wear quad P-100 filters. No amount of dust can get past these into my lungs.
Tip:
1. Once you install the bag, clear tape both sides of the cardboard opening of the filter bag onto vacuum tank because it may occasionally come loose. (really bad when it does happen)
2. If they feel clogged, take the vacuum outside and drop the vacuum maybe 2-6inches onto the ground) or shake the bag a little. This will free up dust that is stuck in the pores of the bag. This also extends the life and capacity of the bag. I used to toss these when they clog even though it's only filled at half capacity. Now, I can use it even longer.
Comment:
I prefer rigid vacuums but I'm not sure if these will fit over rigid. The shopvac 12-gallon high efficiency bags are nice and cheap also, they are probably a better deal than these 5-8 gal bags.

I got this for my Kobalt 5 gallon shop vac model KWM508. Seems like they no longer offer the bag for this particular vac, but the Shop-Vac 90671 can work if you just fold the bottom edge a little (because it is a little taller than the KWM508 calls for).

Love these bags. They fit my shop- vac perfectly and held up to my heavy drywall project. The quality was unbelievable. No dust escaped in the air. Would love to have had these in my shop years ago. I do not plan to run out of these. This was one of the best investments I have made especially with the reasonable price. These bags are sturdy enough to handle any project I do around the house as well as in my garage. I don't know why I didn't purchase these much sooner.Shop-Vac 90671, Type H, 5-to-8-Gallon High-Efficiency Disposable Collection Filter Bag, 2-Pack

These Shop-Vac bags are great! My vacuum needs a new paper filter, the foam cover and the dust filter due to missing parts or improper use. Considering the cost of these items vs. the cost of a new Shop-Vac, these filter bags is a great solution.
I use this vacuum to clean my vehicle and the sheet rock bag is awesome to collect the very fine dust from the floor mats and it does not blow dust out the exhaust. Some people complain about the cost of these vacuum bags. I don't see the issue unless you are remodeling and should be using a broom for heavy debris removal.
Keep n mind this sheet rock bag also cleans the air which can impact your health from airborne dust.

If you don't want any dust in the air these are the item you need for your shop vac. I have used these for sanding drywall compound and sweeping up many other things. You can still use your other filter at the same time too. Don't use these to sweep up sand or any other abrasive material as it will eat a hole in them. I think the price has went up a lot sense I bought them.

Been punching a few holes in drywall lately, certainly worth it to have a shop vac with these bags nearby.
With a second man vacuuming while you drill it substantially cuts down on the dust and debris.
I've gone through a few of these bags and they're all flawless.
No dust coming from the exhaust with these bags in, a fair price for an excellent product.

Perfect. I used this bag in combination with a ShopVac Ultra Web Cartridge filter to clean cold ash from my fireplace. I monitored closely and didn't notice any particles escaping through the exhaust and there was no noticeable change in suction. After vacuuming the ash, I checked the cartridge filter and it still looked new, so I'm confident the cartridge filter was not necessary for filtration; although I'd still recommend it as a precaution in case the bag tears or works it way loose or whatever...
