Elevated Feeding Tray
By Megan
I hated watching my puppy have to stoop down and strain her neck to eat or drink, so I finally decided to invest in an elevated feeder for her. I had gone to a few local pet stores, but the only elevated feeders they had were for smaller breeds, so I came to Amazon. As I searched for one, I realized that I wasn't sure what size feeder she needed. If you're unsure, just measure your dog's shoulder height when he or she is standing straight, and then subtract six from that. So, if your dog's height is 17 inches (like mine), you'd need a feeder that's 11 inches tall -- like this one!
I have a 7 month old labradoodle (who is right now lying next to me and trying to help me write this review. If there are any misspellings, you know why!), and this feeder is the perfect height for her. There is no more uncomfortable straining; she just walks right over, and her bowls are at the perfect height for her pretty little head. The bowls are stainless steel, around 8 inches in diameter, and quite deep. I only give my dog 1 cup of food with each meal, but I could easily fit in at least two cups more without the bowl overflowing. The way the feeder is built allows for me to take the bowls out from the feeder easily. So far I haven't had any problems with food or water dripping out underneath the feeder, even though she's quite the messy drinker.
The beige part of the feeder is plastic, but the legs are wide enough that I don't think it'll topple over that easily. Just be careful when assembling. The legs snap into place, but you have to exert enough pressure for the legs to snap in and hold. I was worried that I'd bend or break the legs since they are only plastic, but everything worked out, and nothing broke.
Overall, I love this product. It was an excellent buy for a great price. If this feeder is the right height for your dog, don't hesitate to buy it!

This feeding bowl is amazing. It comes right up to my 60 lb huskys chest which makes it easier for her to eat, and helps prevent bloat. I was hesitant because of the price but this exceeded my expectations! Wonderful product!

Sturdy and perfect for my 65 pound, 15 year old, Shepard/Doberman mix - and for a very reasonable price! It has cut way down on the extra air he was consuming when eating, and he legs from slipping out behind him.

It collapses some for travel, and our older Golden Retriever was delighted on two levels. One she doesn't have to crane her aged neck so low anymore, eating is more comfortable. Two, the food, her food, is now out of reach to her two cousin Yorkies when they visit.
This was very afordable.

We just got this today and so far it's a success. Our German shepherd was using another elevated food bowl set up but he's gotten too big for it so we got this. He looks so much more comfortable eating from it.

Love this product! Great height for my growing Golden Retriever, bowls hold plenty of food (she eats 2 1/2 cups per meal and the bowl still has extra room), and very sturdy. Disassembles very easily (legs snap in and out of place) for travel/storage. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone!

This is the best elevated feeder in my opinion. I bought this for my large 90+ pound Doberman. It's the perfect height for him!
-It was packaged well, nothing broken and even though it's plastic it is very sturdy! This isn't a cheap flimsy plastic, I can see this holding up well for years.
-Assembly was easy, unhook the legs from the storage area underneath and snap into place. This does take quite a bit of pressure, but that tells me it's gonna stay put. Once together, no wobbling!
-The stainless bowls are larger than expected and seem like they are good quality.
-Overall I'm very impressed and would buy again, although I think I won't need to for many years!

I got this for my 78 lb German Shepherd. It is working wonderfully and it is the perfect height for her. The legs are a little flimsy, but, I dont have a problem with it. I placed it against a wall so if shes too rough it wont come apart. I've noticed that feeding times are much easier for her now and she doesn't eat as fast. I also noticed she is also drinking more water because it is easier for her. I highly recommend this! I was stressing about getting a raised feeder because the ones at the pet store cost so much, but, this is a great value!

I ordered 2 of these elevated feeding trays from Suncast for my 2 large dogs (you can see them in the pictures) I have a golden retriever and a chocolate lab husky mix. We were looking for something that would keep their food and water off of the ground and help them to be better able to eat and digest their food. These came nicely packaged and super fast shipping. It was easy to set up following the directions. It is nice that the bowls easily come out of the holder to fill with water or food. My dogs had no hesitation for eating or drinking out of these and I can tell they like them better than having the bowls on the ground. They seem pretty heavy duty and well built. So far we are loving these elevated food dishes!!

I have 3 large, messy dogs. This product is easy to take apart and clean and the price is excellent!
