Love this hammer! I do a lot of leathercraft and wanted to find something better than the one offered by tandy, it just didn't feel sturdy. I did a little research and ended up buying this mallet and couldn't be happier with it. So far both sides seem to have the same resistances, or at least I haven't noticed any difference when using it with my tools & leather. It's very light, the handle feels good, and it feels like it will last a very long time.

I bought this hammer to beat on things with out damaging them. I Used it to remove and replace roll pins in my firearms. Most of the time I was hitting metal punches with it and some times u hit the pins themselves. The hammer has a heavy weight to it and the heads are replaceable. They thread on and off easily. Both the male and female threads look strong and clean. I have had no issues tightening them down and them staying in place while in use. The heads are soft and have not marred or left marks on anything I have used them on so far. I am happy with this purchase and will recommend it for others.

Purchased this mallet as an add-on item for less than $6.
As an ASE certified auto mechanic I know a good tool when I hold one, and this is a good one.
IMHO, an excellent value for the price.
Highly recommended.

Great little mallet. I use it for hammering grommets into sewing fabric. I don't know if it makes much difference between mallet and hammer for the same purpose, but I read somewhere that it would make a difference and I have one heck of a time getting the cutters to go through fabric, so I thought I would try it. Didn't seam to make any difference. But still it's a nice small clean gadget to put in the sewing gadget box. Feels good in your hand. And I'm not sure it wouldn't do the trick if I could just find a nice sharp hole cutter for fabric. There are a plethora of them for tarps and paper, etc., but none for fabric.

A great little hammer for banging on stuff you don't want to bugger up badly. I order this to use in disassembly of my Ruger 10/45 pistol. Yes it takes a hammer or block of wood. The non-marring heads are essential for working on finely finished or fairly soft materials. Well made, heads are sufficiently hard to get the job done without destroying the hammer. Not a very large hammer.

I have a bunch of Tekton tools and have been very happy with them. This mallet is nice compared to the normal rubber mallets that most people have around. The reason i like it is because you can do delicate work with it (ie in the car or on a something that bends). This is a product that most people would not own and would likely be very useful to them (DIY person).

More than happy. Definite difference between the softer red head and the stiffer black head (one other review confused that issue). Handy for many uses. On one job I used it to align boards during glue-up, set large dovetails into the mating piece, tap chisels and more.

Its a mallet, I know. But it was the least expensive mallet with rubber ends on Amazon and it worked perfectly for my AR build. I wonder if it will work on the noisy off shore contractors who use speaker phone incessantly throughout the day?

Bought this for a project I was working on and it works perfectly. I had previously purchased another Tekton product and was already familiar with the brand. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again in the future.

Again I am a woodworker and this mallet is just the right size for many jobs. I like that it has a slightly more forgiving side and a denser one on the other side. The head is not too big to get in the way but big enough to get the job done.
