The Original and Best Selling Titanium Bonded Scissor in the U. S.
The high performance patented Titanium Bonded blades provides three times the strength of classic stainless steel blades and they stay sharp and effective even after long use. The redesigned ergonomic handle provides maximum comfort during use while the coated blades resist adhesives from tapes and glues. This will be the last scissor you will ever need.
Patented Titanium Bonding Ensures Cutting Performance
Westcott was the first and original Titanium Bonded Scissor brand. Our Titanium Bonded surface is not painted or plated, but an application of a unique formulation of titanium and chromium nitride to the cutting blades that actually penetrates and treats the metal to create a permanent bond. The patented Titanium Bonding process provides the following benefits: corrosion resistance, adhesive resistance and the process itself makes the stainless steel 3X harder than untreated stainless providing a blade that stays sharper longer.
Developed for Ease of Use
Westcott Titanium Bonded scissors are lightweight, durable, and comfortable to use for all occasions. For further convenience, the contoured soft-grip handles prevent discomfort and fatigue allowing for easier cutting.

These scissors are ridiculous. I was flying through wrapping paper like one of Santa's elves on crack with these things. I've never used scissors so sharp before. In fact, when I sliced my arm open while wrapping gifts, I didn't even know I was cut until blood started blanketing the carpet, and everything else in the vicinity. They were so sharp I literally didn't even feel the blades rip into my flesh. After I got my arm wrapped in a dirty kitchen towel and found someone to come watch my children so I could drive myself to the emergency room I looked at the blades to wash my blood off, and found none. NOT ONE DROP! The cut was so quick and clean blood didn't even make it onto the blades. In fact, after the ER doctor stitched me up, he said hopefully I wont scar too badly...so, yay! These scissors are definitely of the highest quality, and a great stocking stuffer for all the klutzy fools in your life you can't stand! Two thumbs up!

Excellent scissors that are super sharp and high quality. I previously owned another pair which I paid $11 for by themselves, so getting two pair at less than I paid for the one pair....no brainer. We all love them and use them so much, and this is the only pair of scissors anyone in the house will use, and they continually come up missing, so I decided it was time to buy more. I have used them to cut paper, hair, cardboard, those impossible plastic blister packs that everything seems to be packaged in these days, garden shears, sewing, and I've even used them as kitchen shears to cut up meat. They cut excellently through small bones and tendons and I throw them right in the dishwasher (opened of course) and clean them. They can go from cutting paper or bones and still be sharp enough when it's time to cut hair, which is the ultimate test of scissors. They're made of titanium so they hold a razor sharp edge much, much better than plain stainless steel. They don't rust in the dishwasher either. Love these and HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend. And the handles are so very comfortable and ergonomically designed! You can't tell by the photos, but from the view shown on the product page, you only see one side of the handles. As you turn them, the way the curve is shaped changes and just fits your hand perfectly. Very well made, quality product, and you won't be disappointed, I promise!

These scissors have comfortable handles with a little bit of a cushioned, rubbery feel. They cut well, with sharp blades that hold an edge well.
They really do resist tape and stickiness better than other scissors! I have four pairs of these scissors because are are avid crafters. Basically we have a pair of scissors in each room. These are great all-purpose scissors that work for school, crafts, household needs.

Westcott Straight Titanium Scissors with New Handle Design, 8-Inch, Two per Pack
Westcott since 1872
It might be pertinent to say that I am an architect/artist/illustrator reviewing as a Vine Member and my offices make good use of many Scissors when making models or cutting various types of media board and papers, so we selected and these were sent to me to test for that purpose. The product I am reviewing was designed in the USA but manufactured in China, so with full disclosure I should add that my company only accept or buy outsourced goods if we cannot find an equivalent product made in the USA. That being said, this product did perform well in our testing for the purposes of our day to day work.
The Westcott 2-Pack of bonded titanium over a stainless steel core of a sharp, durable, "longer lasting cutting edge" consists of two Scissors with blades the maker says are thrice as hard as stainless steel alone, meaning they maintain their sharpness much longer and they come with a LIFETIME Acme United Limited Warranty. The warranty claims that the blades are corrosion resistant and the grips certainly seem more comfortable than others I own.
After liberating the two Scissors from the pack, I was able to easily cut the plastic package into small pieces with them. The contoured grips are large enough for the hands of a man and have a thin coat of a soft rubbery material, which despite being very thin did keep my fingers and thumb from the usual discomfort associated with most Scissors of this sort.
Some of the other reviews mentioned that the Scissors (both of them) broke while cutting various things and one of the reviewers said that the blades chipped. I have had no trouble so far, so we shall see as time goes by and usage grows. One said that there was a plastic nut in a critical place on the Scissors. Well another user displayed a revision to the product to strengthen it and I do see that the screw is a metal Phillips-head but it does not look as deep and well defined in depth and design as other Phillips-head's I own, and those I have which are not of hardened steel have just gotten chewed up by the male Phillips-head when turning it, so that may be something of a concern.
I used them to cut paper, thin plastic and thin art board with no damage to the Scissors. I have several different kinds of Scissors for heavy, medium and light material cutting, but these Westcott Scissors seem more light weight, and I am hopping that that does not mean more fragile, but only time will tell.
As for now they are working sans damages to them.
I give the product, at this point, 5 stars.

They're scissors. They're sharp. They cut. And they weren't overly expensive. I guess that's about all the qualities I really care about in scissors. In fact, I never knew what qualities I looked for in scissors until I wrote that. What am I doing with my life? I don't know. But I've got some nice scissors while I figure it out.

Sharp, sturdy, and plenty of room for my fingers & thumb. I have another pair of scissors that look very similar but that always make me have to work a bit to get my thumb out. These, on the other hand (or using the same hand), allow my thumb easy access and retreat, making these scissors a pleasure to use, combined with their sharp blades and sturdy feel. In fact, after using these, I'm going to buy another couple more so I can replace some others that aren't as easy to use and/or aren't as sharp. I also noticed that they come in multiple colors, so I might get a bit edgy and try one of the more colorful models.
Cutting to the chase: I have to reservations recommending these scissors, and with the 2-pack, they're a great value.

These are ALMOST the best scissors I've ever used! Inexpensive, sharp, durable, comfortable, and rust resistant scissors are hard to find at a reasonable price. These fill the bill. My wife is a teacher and she wants MY scissors!

I purchased these scissors for my office and school room. Of course when my kids see new nice sharp scissors they no longer want use theirs but mine instead. These scissors are sharp and give a precise cut. The handle feels good it is easy to grip and have the control you need over the scissors. I only buy titanium scissors because tape and other adhesive material you cut won't stick on it. These are the perfect handy scissors size to have around I just hope mine will stay around with the kids finding them !

Because who can't use a new pair of scissors. As I was approaching Christmas and started wrapping presents I realized I no longer has any scissors that cut paper. Sad I know. So like you I went to Amazon and started reading reviews. These are better than most because you can take them apart to sharpen to tighten the screw when they are loose. Good scissors should last and these I believe will. No reason to throw away unless the handle breaks.

These scissors are the best, and they hold their sharpness very well. I have been using the same pair for 4 years now, cutting all sorts of things from paper every day to obscure ties and blister packs. I even used these to cut through some thick plastic, and they held up very very well. The grips are very comfortable, and they give you very good leverage for cutting things.
Something that people don't mention often though, is that these scissors are good enough for you to even use them with your left hand (uncomfortably, but still effectively), even though they weren't made for lefties. The grips are of course shaped for righties, but they're so good that I can cut through cardboard and stuff no problem with them with my left hand (I'm ambidextrous).
Great scissors, worth the price. The fact that they give you two is great!
