This sponge is great for drywall repairs. Much faster and more durable than drywall screens or wet/dry sandpaper. I was very impressed using it for the first time. Seems to last for a long time.

Very comfortable to hold and work with, these have become a staple in my tool/paint boxes. The 3M quality is evident and last a long time. I've even wrapped them in sandpaper to finish out a job and they've still stood up long past their prime. I can recommend these.

This worked well to help repair two large holes in my wall. I used a large amount of spackle to cover the two holes and used this sponge to sand down the dried spackle. You couldn't tell that anything happened to the wall after all was said and done. This is a good and inexpensive product for small repairs and for someone who doesn't want to invest in an electric sander.

I have washed them out and reused them. How nice. I'm doing a lot of wood and wall sanding, they go from one to the other great but occasionally I hit paint and these cleaned up nicely with warm soap and water… just make sure you give them time to dry

I am not the handy man type. I am a beginner to say the least. This is an invaluable tool for sure! I had to patch a few typical nail holes from pictures, mirrors, clocks, etc. After patching the holes (i used Dap Crackshot Spackling Paste also off amazon...amazing!), this made smoothing the finish before painting a complete breeze! I wish i would have known 7 years ago when I first moved in...it would have made my walls look much more professionally finished! Highly recommend !

I love the sponge style sander. I bought this to sand some spackle on my walls, but two weeks later I accidentally burned a bit of my carpet while ironing. I pulled this out and sanded the carpet fibers, and the scorched area cleared right up.

Makes an ole bear like me look like I know what I'm doing. The sponge helps me from taking to much off at one time. easy clean-up and holds up pretty well even with me behind it. I use mostly for fine sanding smaller projects. I recommend it!

Works great for sanding down mud off the walls after filling in holes. Try to avoid getting the mud wet followed by use of this sponge, as the mud will just fill in the sponge, cause the sponge to lose all of its grit and become smooth and useless. If used correctly, works just fine.

When it comes to fixing holes in the walls, I am about as noobish as it gets. I never even heard of spackle until I started researching what I may need and how I needed to do it. At first, I did hold off on getting the sanding sponge as I really was not going to paint over the fixed spots since I live in a rented apartment. But, after feeling how rough the finish was, I decided to go ahead and get this as well.
First, wear a dust mask. You really don't want to be breathing in any fine dust particles from the spackle or drywall. Once I was masked up, I sanded the spackle rough in all the spots where it had ridges because of the putty knife. I then finished it off with the finer side to get it nice and smooth. Looks nice now.
One last note, lay something down beneath the area to be sanded and the floor or else you will have fine particles everywhere.

This works way better than I expected! It sands nicely and doesn't fall apart, I mean I'm sure you could break it if you were pushing hard enough as though you were attempting to push this through a wall but if you're just sanding it's fine.
I washed it afterwards just under running tub water and it looks brand new. Have not used it while wet and I most likely won't so keep that in mind for my review, it works quite well dry.
