I purchased this for making cables. It is a little larger than I anticipated and find that it is a little overkill for what I wanted since it also does coax. the adjustable blade is nice so that you can cut the different grades of wire without nicking the wires inside. For example indoor network cable has a thinner sheath than outdoor rated cable. Once adjusted you can count on it not nicking the inside wires. I cant complain that it does more than what I need since you never know when it might come in handy.

My first time using an RG6 stripper and it worked. Just don't use the built in cable stop as you'll end up with the wire being too long. The distance between the end of the wire and first blade should be equal to the distance between the two blades. The cutter is not meant for steel coaxial cable. It was able to cut through the cable, but it damaged the blade. I suggest getting a separate tool for cutting all the way through steel coaxial cable.

I just bought this to terminate a bunch of cat6 installed in my house. The depth of the cutter sets easily and if you do a single circle - all that's needed - it cuts the outer jacket without nicking the wires. Super easy, no problems.

I've stripped many coax cables by hand. I finally invested in one of these and I wonder why I ever waited so long. This thing makes stripping coax sooooo easy! It only took about 5 seconds to make a perfect cut. It was totally worth the cost.

I have been wanting a network cable stripper and this one works great, you adjust it once for the cable thickness and spin it a couple of times and works perfectly every time without nicking the strands.

Repairing my satellite dish TV feed cables was a problem. They seemed to rot out at one particular connection once or twice a year (water in the cable? Some electrolysis from a stray current?). Each time, I had to have a service call, was out of service for a couple of days until the repair guy arrived, and they had to pay $95.00 per service call. I got this tool, used it to repair my cables at the usual spot, and now I am equipped to repair my own in the future. It was easy to use, even on my first time repairing Sat-TV cables (I do have experience with other wiring). Great tool, works well. Simple and straightforward to operate. Does the job.

I've only used this tool to strip coax cable to install end plugs, but it did exactly what I needed. Very easy to use, cuts coax cable with only a few rotations of the device and only cuts the outer layer for easy installation of the end plug. Very happy with this purchase

Works Great! I recommend practicing on some spare cable a number of times before going for a critical termination. It took me about a half dozen times to get the feel for how many times to turn the cutter on RG6.

This stripper was extremely easy to use. As long as the cable is inserted to the correct length, you really can't mess it up much. I was skeptical of using the cutter to cut the coax, but it does just fine. I'm extremely impressed and pleased with my purchase.

After buying this product I regretted using normal cable strippers for as long as I had on coax cable.

I made ~10 connections with this stripper the week I got it, and while I do not expect to use it routinely, the time and frustration it saved is well worth the price!
