I've used this hose for over a year out on my deck. I like to drink out of the hose when I'm watering my garden and so I got this hose for that reason. I'm delighted with it. I have many kinds of hoses on the farm here but this is my favorite. I'm in a wheelchair and the smaller diameter makes for easy handleing and a small "bump" when I roll over it. I have never had it kink. Ever. After a summer/winter/summer all outdoors I can wipe the surface and it looks brand new. No signs of any wear. Get this hose and I think you'll be very pleased. If you let your kids play with a garden hose they WILL drink out of it. Better safe than sorry. A nice product.

The one thing I've always hated about gardening is hoses--until I found this one. When I opened the hose the first time, I was able to uncoil it easily and then hang it on a holder with much less hassle than my other hoses. It's lightweight and easy to handle. I'm so pleased with it, I'm replacing all my hoses with this type. Although we don't usually drink out of the hose, I do fill my dog's water bucket and with my current hose, I have to let it run for several minutes because of the milky, soapy water that comes out at first. That can't possibly be good for the dog or anything else. That doesn't happen with this hose. I get clear water immediately.
This hose is white with a blue stripe, which is great for a boat or RV, but a little glaring in the yard. Still it's so much easier to use I can live with that. I have to move one of my hoses several times in dry weather to hook to different soaker hoses and some things need to be hand watered, so weight and manageability are really important to me and this hose scores a 10.

Very pleased with this purchase for several reasons:
*Very well priced for a 50ft non-kinking hose. You probably won't find anything else in the 20$ range.
*Absolutely kink-free. I am just using this on a high pressure washer - but I needed an uninterrupted water source for it that I can rely on.
*Drinking safe. The package advertises it as drinking safe, it's approved by the FDA.. You can be overly cautious about everything you eat, drink, breathe, or look at.. Or you can admit that this is a generally acceptable product to safely use when living outside of a plastic bubble or California :-) . Also, despite what wiki says, lead is not always added to brass, nor will the lead magically chip off (like paint) and contaminate your drinking water you consume. Also, no where on the packaging does it say it contains lead or the "California caner" message - which they *should* have to put on there if it actually contained lead.. Of course it's purely a personal choice how protective you want to be, but I wanted to make this a point since other reviewers focused heavily on the opposition side of this.
*The hose connector is strong, had several cheaper hoses that used thinner metals that bend or leak easy. However this does not.
*Has a see-through strip to see water flow. Maybe a useless feature, but still kind-of cool.
All-in-all a good purchase, and quick shipping from Amazon like always.

We recently purchased this water hose ($24.21) for our daughter, and there is only one thing I have to say about it: It doesn't smell like plastic/chemicals! Every other hose we've tried or used contained PVC, and if you've heard of PVC/phthalate you probably know it's bad. Don't take my word on the PVC/phthalate issue, read some empirically validated research and see for yourself! It's also lead free.
But take my word on this: This is a great hose. The other reviews are right, and it is a wonderful hose to use for children who want to play in the water on a hot summer day! The durability, kink free feature, and solid construction are just bonuses. The real win here is that you're getting a water hose that's safer for your children to play with.
One other note: You can register it for a lifetime replacement warranty. How cool is that?

Seven years after purchasing two of these hoses they're still in great shape and still in use. It no longer surprises me that they offer a lifetime replacement warranty: this is a really well made hose. I don't want to gush too much over a water hose (HAR HAR), but the only reason I wouldn't buy another one is because the ones I already have seem to last forever.
Cheers!

I love that this is made of food grade materials; many hoses have toxic components (lead, etc.). Plus, this hose resists kinking. Great product.

I own two of these hoses. I wouldn't buy any other. There are a lot of stupidos out there that think you can just leave even a quality hose under continuous pressure and they won't bust eventually ... well they do! However, the better the hose the longer it will last under pressure. I've owned some of the best hoses on my farm and only one lasted for three seasons under continuous pressure. That said, I won't pay $120.00 for a 100' rubber hose.
This hose is fantastic, but don't expect miracles.
Since these hoses are made for RV's, they do well under continuous pressure.

First of all, I love the light weight of this hose. I have chronic pain, and used to dread watering my garden and hosing off the patio. There's nothing worse than a large heavy hose filled with water that gets stuck or kinked when you're already hurting! It's light weight makes it easy to move to other locations, and it's non-toxic, so I can sneak a drink for me and my dragons out of it, too!

I got to the end of my patience working with hoses that kept kinking on me. Finally I found one that doesn't and now I'm a happy man!

I bought this hose to use with our camper. It is perfect because it doesn't kink. we've used this hose for almost two years and its still good as new. We hook it up to the camper to use for drinking water. Water doesn't have any bad taste as with other hoses. I also use this hose at home for watering the garden. Am very happy with it and recommend it to anyone needing a good hose for any purpose.

For years I fought with a 75 foot hose that leaked at the couplings, kinked and resisted being rolled up. This hose didn't do any of those irritating things and I was not soaking wet by the time I finished using it. It rolled up very nicely on my hose reel. I'm pleased with this purchase.
