The XZN/Triple Square bits in this set are made from heat-treated S2 steel alloy to withstand long-term use, the sockets are composed of Chrome-Vanadium to provide optimal strength and durability. The pieces also have a chrome plating to prevent rusting and corrosion. This set comes with a convenient blow-molded storage box for portability and protection. Well since the only other review was bad cause this auction didnt list sizes, I decided to buy this set and give it a try, worst thing is I would return it if it didnt have the bit i neeed.
It was this set or the Neiko 10 pc set, this set was $5 cheaper.
Fron the pictures they looked identical, this one just has no description. In the end they are identical.
Here are the sizes included:
1/4 drive 4,5,6mm
3/8 drive 8,9,10,12mm
Tamper proof:
3/8 14mm
1/2 drive 16,18mm
Chrome Vanadim Steel
Mirror polishes and Chrome plated

These are a very nice set of spline bits. I'm no professional mechanic but these spline bolts seem to pop up more than I care to mention. I used them to rebuild an Audi engine and they fit the bill just fine. I suppose the bits costing twice as much could be better but I'm not sure how. These were hardened and were a snug fit. Anyway, I'd highly recommend...

These bits worked as expected where tight space was not an issue. The only downside that I encountered using these bits is that they are too big for many tight spots under the hood. I tried to use them remove one of the transmission bolts and cooler lines on a 2009 VW, these bits were way too long--I had to use the OTC "Super Short" socket bits.
UPDATE (11/2015): I have used the bits several times since my first review where space limitations were not an issue. These bits are some of the strongest and toughest I have ever used (at least compared to Craftsman and Snap-on). For example, I used a 3/8" bit with to a 1/2" adapter and turned it with a 24" long 1/2" drive breaker bar to break loose rusted bolts. The Capri Tools bit held up and didn't even bend any of the triple square splines on the bit! The 1/2" drive breaker bar and extension visibly twisted (slightly) during removal, but the bit still held up to this load. Worth every penny.

This type of bit is hard to find on shelves at your local tool store. A must have for some European cars. Was surprised how strong these are. I broke a 3/8th extension and 5 minutes later a 3/8th drive breaker bar trying to break loose caliper bracket bolts. This is a testament to how strong these are made.

Started working on a Porsche Boxster and came across the XZN bolts. Was pissed off that the car has hex, torxs, phillips, and finally XZN. Not sure why the German have some many different fasteners in non-critical places but they do. If you are going to work on European cars you will come across these odd balls and the Capri Tools XZN set is a good one. Comes in nice plastic case and tools seems to be of good quality.

my vw has these in random places and different sizes...originally I was going to buy the size I needed but luckily found this deal and saved me money in the long run cause I ended up needing two other sizes...the quality seems to be par with other tools and had no problems with rounding or chipping

VERY well made tools. Had to wail on the 10mm bit to break a bolt loose, and it didn't flinch. Can't believe this set costs so little. I bought this set, in part, to remove the hinge bolts on a 2002 VW Beetle door. The 10mm bit was too long to use with a ratchet attached, but the shaft of the bit is a 10mm hex, so I slipped on a 10mm ratcheting wrench, popped it into the bolt and it worked perfectly. Buy with confidence.

Excellent, this set allowed me to replace the door latch module on an 05 Jetta TDI wagon. The entire set of the Spline bits cost a few dollars more than buying a single bit. The bits are well built and didn't strip out either bolt that I had to remove.

These are well made tools that are a must have set for working on European vehicals. You might not need them often but you won't get by without them if you mechanic much at all. I would recommend this set to a good friend.

I needed one of these to change out a key-lock module in my 2001 VW Jetta. For the price, I originally thought that if these lasted long enough to get my job done I'd be happy. I was surprised to find them to be of excellent quality! The spline itself is constructed of hardened steel and the socket portion is good quality too. They are an excellent addition to my tool box and expect them to serve me for years to come. I would recommend them to anyone working on a European vehicle as they are a must-have item and they truly are of fine quality. I would buy them again without hesitation.
