I just bought a home in Sept. 2013 and found myself needing all sorts of tools. I read through a number of articles on what tools a new homeowner should buy and I kept reading that if you're going to buy tools, spend a little extra because quality tools will last nearly a lifetime. I can't say for sure if these will last a lifetime or not, but compared to my last pliers set I bought from Walmart, these are an amazing purchase. My last set were bending and warping from pretty normal use and these new ones are holding up very well and I dish out some punishment.

The grips are staying strong and there's no sign of cracking or breaking at all. The green and grey handles are comfortable and really fit well in my hand. The wire snips worked great on some 240v wiring.

These aren't the best quality, longest lasting pliers on the market; for those you'll need to add another $0 to the price tag, but for a typical homeowner and/or DIY'er these will probably be more than adequate. I've been very happy with my purchase.

Awesome set of pliers. This was one of the first purchases after we closed on our new house, and they have come in very handy. Having lived in a condo before, I only had one small tool kit and not that we have a house, I wanted to buy some better tools that would hold up.
I got a lot of use from these after tearing up carpet and going around and pulling out a MILLION nails from the hardwood. They were very comfortable to use, and were lightweight yet got the job done. Very happy with my purchase and would buy again.

My husband uses these everyday! He did say they were a bit small for his job but that they're great for anything else. They have a very comfortable grip, and being craftsman, they're very trust worthy. He's had them for a while now and has had to replace other tools, but these have stood up to him. They really stand the strands of time and the HVAC buisness

These are fantastic! Very durable and they work great! The price is god and sometimes you can even find them for less. They have already fulfilled many needs for me and my customers, dozens of whom have received this set from me! They come in handy for a myriad of uses and make a great, yet inexpensive gift!

This is a great set and you won't be ashamed to have a buddy use them out of your Craftsman tool boxes full of Craftsman tools. I do not hesitate in the least in recommending this set of pliers. Just what you need in a home or small shop. The seller sent them promptly in their plastic Craftsman packaging. I recommend this seller, as well.

This is a nice set of pliers. They work well and are not too loose or too tight when using. Only thing that confused me was they were sent taped up in a bubble rap bag as if someone bought them opened the packaging and threw them in the bubble rap bag to send off to someone. Even with that though they are brand new never been used so no complaints here.

The Craftsman set of six pliers is a very nice, low cost set of tools. Made in China, you might expect a lower grade of steel that chips and cracks away. But I believe the steel used is of a superior grade than what has previously come out of China and they are getting better at making tools for the USA. I cut some big nails with the 8" linesman's plier. It was relatively easy and the jaws were unmarked. I didn't, however, try cutting hardened wire. The handles are smooth and non slip. I tried pulling on them as hard as I could and they would not come off. The metal surface has a brushed appearance. The jaws and all surfaces are well machined and accurate. All the pliers open and close smoothly without drag or sticking.

PROS:

1. A well made durable set.
2. Accurately machined with well matched jaw surfaces.
3. Low cost.
4. Craftsman garantee.
5. Six pliers provide wide variety of applications for tool use.
6. All pliers open and close smoothly and easily.

CONS:

1. You have to like green because that's what color the handles are.
2. Made in China, not by American workers.
3. May not be suitable for professional use.

All in all, these are a very nice low cost set for the hobbiest or home owner. They may not be suitable for professional use. The Craftsman garantee should replace any that break or become damaged. The steel seems very good and they have nice handles. There is a wide variety of pliers that can cover many types of application for tool use. With normal use, they should last quite a long time. I recommend them.

As always craftsmen tools are excellent. Purchased as a gift for my husband and you can never go wrong. The item arrived very quickly even during the Christmas season. Saved the seller so I can purchase more tools. A++++++

they work great they're tight there smooth the handles are comfortable. they're fairly non slip and they cut nicely good value

Great set, well made and ergonomic. All you would need for any electrical work around the house, and then some. Grip is well made and well bonded to the handles. Great little set!
