The DEWALT DWE6421 5" Random Orbit Sander Kit features a 3.0 Amp motor that spins the pad at 12,000 OPM. The shorter height of this sander allows the user to get closer to work piece. It has a rubber over-mold in all of the critical areas of the sander and a separate counterweight design reduces vibration. The switch is dust-sealed to protect against dust ingestion for longer switch life. This sander offers improved dust collection and interfacing with our vacuum locking system; the dust bag has innovative one-hand locking system, the dust port is designed to fit directly to DWV010 or DWV012 dust collectors. To attach dust port to other vacs with 1-1/4" hoses use DWV9000 universal quick connector. Commonly used for sanding wood, sanding metal and sanding plastics. Includes: Sander, Owners Manual, Dust Bag, Carrying Case (bag).

I bought this sander to replace a Craftsman RO unit that fell apart in my hand one day while sanding. This Dewalt sander is a pleasure to use. Vibration is minimal and discs stay on the sander longer than any other sander I've owned. Some reviewers complained that the dust bag did a poor job of collecting sawdust. I disagree. When the bag is properly connected to the sander, it does a very respectable job. Of course more sawdust would be collected if the sander was connected to a dust collector or shop vac. I would recommend this sander to anyone looking for a quality finishing sander.

I purchased this for my husband as a Father's Day gift - he loves to work with wood.

First thing he did was sand down the coffee-table - and the little sock that holds the wood dust flew off. He didn't mind - he still loves his new toy. Can't beat DeWalt!

The round sanding pads (sold separately) stick on like velcro and don't slip off during use.

It would be really useful to have one of these that is powered by an interchangeable battery pak that also fits his other DeWalt tools.

Works great. It replaced a couple of Porter Cable Orbital sanders that had finally worn out. I absolutely love the dust collection system. It works very well. It is comfortable to use and I'm very happy with this DeWalt sander.

Upgraded to this after one of my old Dewalt sanders finally gave out. I didn't expect it, but this one is a lot better. Vibration is much less. Dust bag is much better setup than previous version and this is quite a bit quieter than the older models. I loved my old one, but this one is even better. DeWalt just keeps getting it right!!!

This was a replacement random orbital sander. Excellent so far. Minimal vibration in the hand. Good control. Solid feel while sanding. Collection bag locks so bag does not come off easily.
