Most spills occur tipping a normal can to get the spout into the tank opening before the liquid comes out, or removing the spout from the target vessel before overflowing. The No-Spill spout is fully user controlled so you tip the can vertical, insert the spout into the vessel opening, then press the button to begin and control pouring. To stop pouring simply release the button. Practically eliminates spills and overflows. The only Spill-Proof spout with thumb button control that does not push down on your tank's filler neck to pour. More control, fewer tip-overs of your small equipment. The fastest pouring Spill-Proof nozzle available. At up to 3 gal/min, compare to other brands at 1.5 to 2.0 gal/min. Meets California Air Resources Board requirements for sale or use in California. Autostop removable nozzle, single opening for filling & pouring, treated can body for low permeation. The most user friendly CARB compliant can available. Easily fills even the smallest equipment without the need to press down on the tank opening. 6-inch Flex Spout Extension (sold separately) allows filling of on-road vehicles, boats and many other hard to reach tank openings. No-Spill Gasoline cans are tested and certified to ASTM F-85299 Standard Specification for Portable Gasoline Containers for Consumer Use and our Diesel & Kerosene cans are tested and certified to ASTM F-97602 Standard Specification for Portable Kerosene and Diesel Containers for Consumer Use.

The last gas cans I owned were of the newer, allegedly-environment-friendly no-vent, no-spill type. And they sucked. There actually was a vent, of course, which was built into the spout, and so poorly designed that no matter how delicately you approached the fueling task the gas would gurgle and hesitate and gush, and you would invariably end up spilling almost as much gas on the mower as ended up in its tank.
I happened upon the No-Spill (brand?) on Amazon, ordered two on the spot, and received them two days later. The old cans were cleaned out and tossed into the recycling bin three days after that. These cans Just Work. Easy to use, little or no gurgle from the in-spout vent, and very easy to control flow - I've yet to spill a drop fueling the mower and various lawn implements. The only caveat is that you have to remember to give the fill button a quick press to equalize pressure before you pick up the can, otherwise you might get a short, uncontrolled gush of gas on a hot day. Five stars; excellent product; no complaints.

After reviewing reviews on this product and knowing that Honda is highly recommending it, I purchased 3 different sizes for 3 different applications. After receiving them, I agree that they are probably the best on the market. There are some products that are very good, but require certain sized gas tank openings to work properly, whereas, the no-spill gas cans work on any size opening. It is a pleasure to pour gas without having to unscrew a gas can cap and not spill a drop.

I got this gas can after trying the ones from Home Depot and Lowes. The other gas cans made a mess and were incredibly difficult to use. This one is pretty much just like the video shows, very easy to use.
I took it to the gas station and filled it up, screwed the cap on tight and put it in my trunk. I was happy to find that it didn't leak at all on the drive home. If you push the button while it is still sitting up right, it will relieve the pressure. I was a little nervous to tip the whole thing on its side to get the nozzle in my lawn mower, but it worked great with no leaks once again.
I filled the lawn mower up quick and put the cap back on the gas can. I got no gas on my hands, no drips on the lawn mower, and everything was completely clean after. I really am impressed with this gas can and happy I found something that works. It is definitely worth the extra $5-$10 for this can.

I did a lot of research and also purchased some local big box store gas cans before getting this can. I can say this is the best poly can on the market currently. The trigger is easy to use and gauge of the plastic used to make the can is at least twice the thickness of the others can I have tried. The trigger handle is much more heavy duty and does not appear to look like it will break as compared to the competition. The fact that you can see the current fuel level is also very helpful.

I needed to purchase a smaller tank for my 2-cycle gas trimmer and found the No-Spill on Amazon with great reviews. I was not confident in purchasing any of the smaller tanks from local big box stores (Lowes, Sears, Home Depot) because I read wildly mixed reviews online and it made be very uncomfortable. I turned to Amazon and was impressed by most of the reviews even though a number of them had be concerned about product quality.
The new emissions laws make it more difficult to find quality gas cans that can withstand the changes in pressure and not crack or degrade at the seams or nozzle. The plastic cans also have a tendency to break down and wear out over time and in temperature changes.
I really like using Eagle branded steel gas cans but did not want to spend $35 for a 2 gallon tank for my trimmer... especially since I only needed ~1gal and wanted something that is easy to measure the contents. The No-Spill tank has a clear plastic viewing area on the front and back with markings for volume. This makes it easy to fill from my main 5 gallon tank and measure the proper amount for my oil and gas mixture. I did not see this feature advertised anywhere on the product listing but I am very glad it is easy to measure the quantity in the tank.
Only time will tell if this No-Spill can is durable and can withstand the elements... but so far, so good. This little can is great and I do not have any of the issues or problems that seem to be common with this can (listed below):
1. Leaks around nozzle screw
2. Malfunctioning No-Spill spout
3. Cracking along the plastic seams
I really enjoy the No-Spill nozzle and it is great for filling my gas trimmer. I can put the nozzle into the tank, press the button, and release the button when the tank is full.
WARNING: these new gas tanks that do not have a vent valve. If the tanks have been sitting in your garage they may have built up vapor pressure inside of the tank. Before filling a tank it is advised to press the button to release pressure. If you do not do this then you may spray gas when the pressure is released and you are trying to pour gas into your equipment.

The auto-stop doesn't work quite as wel as you'd expect (the nozzle needs to be well below where you want the gas to stop). But everything else about this can has been exactly what I wanted. It has a low center of gravity so it doesn't want to tip over when being transported. Sure, it requires two hands to pour, but it's great being able to control how fast the gas flows with the button.

The best of the "no-spill" gas cans out there. It actually works! I have spilled more gas with all of the new nozzle designs that are supposed to be no spill than with the old pre-EPA required old-school nozzles. The problem with most on the new no-spill nozzles is they stick, break, or wear out quickly and you can't buy replacement nozzles, making you have to buy a whole new can and nozzle—what a waste. "No-Sill" Brand makes a functional nozzle that you can replace or fix with new "O" rings. It is primarily designed for gas used for chain saws, generators, lawn mowers, and the like. It would be hard to use this for a car unless you have a long-neck funnel. The clear plastic strip at both ends lets you see how much gas is in the can, which is important when mixing in oil for two cycle engines.

Just when I thought I had seen it all, this gem came along. Could not be more perfect for filling my chain saw (or other 2 cycle toys). This tank has clear stripes from top to bottom on both front and back, so you can see exactly how much gas you have left. Not a drop is spilled. I will buy a second can for my 4 cycle engines other than the tractor. I prefer to buy several 5 gallon cans then transfer to the small ones to fill. Comfortable and easy to handle. Good Show NO-SPILL. Made in the USA.

I HATE "safety" products. Don't get me wrong . . . I WANT the safety; it's just that there is usually a significant reduction in usefulness when a product is "safe." Not so in this case. This is by far the best safety gas can I have ever used, and because of how it works it's actually BETTER than a plain, old gas can. There is no longer a need for a funnel, and I don't spill gas on the engine anymore. I've had it for a couple of months now, and it has functioned perfectly and is very easy to use. We'll have to wait a couple of years to see if it lasts, but right now I couldn't be more pleased.

This can is much better than the traditional style cans I have always used. I bought this to replace a 1 gallon Blitz brand that had a broken screw cap.
I like this can for several reasons.
It has a "window" to get a better view of the gasoline level so the correct amount of oil can be added.
The opening of the can is quite large. This makes it easier to empty the fuel tanks on my lawn tools. During the winter months, I drain all of my gasoline powered tools back into this can. Then I use that fuel in my backpack blower as its the last tool I use before the winter.
The spout is much easier to use than the Blitz style. I shake the can to mix the oil and fuel. Remove the protective cap, and push the button before I fill the gas tank. If pressure builds up in the gas can, and you don't "purge" the air before filling a gas tank, the built up pressure can cause fuel to be spilled.
The main point of this type on nozzle is to be able to fill a gas tank without spilling. You're supposed to fit the tip of the nozzle in the tank, and once the fuel level reaches the nozzle, it stops filling. I did not find this to work very well. However, given the reason I mentioned for liking it, I think it still deserves 5 stars.
