- Compared to 18V Ni-Cd (P100):
- *Up to 35% more runtime
- *Charge only with 18V ONE+ Dual-Chemistry chargers
- *45% lighter weight reduces user fatigue
- *Holds charge 4X longer
RYOBI® 18V ONE+TM System introduces the next generation in lithium-ion performance. LITHIUM+TM batteries improve the performance of RYOBI 18V ONE+ power tools beyond simply extending the runtime. This compact battery improves the performance of Ryobi 18V ONE+ tools by increasing torque up to 15%. They provide up to 35% more runtime, hold a charge 4X longer and are 45% lighter weight than Ni-Cd batteries. LITHIUM+ batteries have extreme weather performance to continue work in harsh conditions and an on-board fuel gauge to "Check Your Charge"TM before the work begins. LIHTIUM+ batteries provide fade-free power for maximum performance throughout the charge. Best of all, like all 18V ONE+ batteries, LITHIUM+ batteries work with every Ryobi 18V tool ever made.

I got this for a cordless trimmer (weed whacker) because the battery that came with it would only allow 12-15 minutes of run time, which wasn't quite long enough to do everything I needed. This battery holds a charge longer - more like 20 minutes, and it doesn't slow down or peter out until right before it is completely drained.

Not much to be said, it works as you would expect it to. Make sure you know what size you are getting (e.g. how many amp hours). Ryobi now has a series of different amp hour rated batteries, so none of them are the same. I like this smaller size for drill and caulking jobs because it is lighter and less clumsy. So for instance this P107 is 1.5 amp hours. The P122 is 4 amp hours. The more amp hours the longer the battery will go before needing a recharge. Also remember this needs the dual charger, not the original nicad only charger.

I've had a bunch of Ryobi 18V tools since 2009. First batteries (6 years old now) are just starting to fail. I'd say that's an outstanding life!
Between the big 4ah bats and these smaller bats I actually prefer the smaller ones for most applications. If you have two of these small bats you really won't need the bigger ones.

These are replacing some old yellow 18 volt batteries. They charge faster, have the same energy throughout their use cycle (no dwindling off), and they have an indicator that shows power level when I pick up the tool so I know if I want to replace the battery at the get-go, or use it as is and see how far it takes me. I got these because they are 1/2 the size (and weight) of the biggest ones available. They last about 2 times as long as the old lithium batteries (which had the black charging nose versus the green one these have), and about 1/2 as long as the biggest battery Ryobi makes. Their big benefit, is they are very light compared to the old yellow batteries they are replacing, and lighter than the biggest Lithiums from Ryobi.

Since trying my first Ryobi tool (18ga and 16ga nail gun) a few months ago, I have been impressed with the Ryobi line of tools. They are built well and made to last. Since then,I've bought other Ryobi 18V tools and have had no issues. This battery is a true workhorse and keeps charge for a long time. It seems to work better and hold charge longer than my Milwaukee 18V red lithium battery. I will be buying more of these batteries as I slowly transition all my wired tools to wireless.

This battery is a rock star. I've had Ryobi cordless tools for awhile now, and I didn't realize that after time (years!) how much the batteries had degraded. This battery brings life back - the tools run strong and for a long while. Very much recommended!

Excellent product. What more can I say. For home use purposes it matches or exceeds my old DeWalt professional 14 volt drills. While it may not generate quite as much torque, the batteries are certainly cheaper and can be used in more interchangeable tools

I use cordless tools professionally and switched to Ryobi almost two years ago, primarily due to a recommendation from a friend and the PRICE of batteries. These are generally half the price of the major names. So far I have had good luck with the batteries, but even more importantly I have been very pleased with the variety of Ryobi cordless tools that I use : Impact driver, drill, circular saw, jig saw, brad nailer & multi-tool. In case anyone actually reads this review, please be aware that it seems that Ryobi has two types of the 1-Plus batteries: the ones WITH the fuel gauge are what I use.

We use this for our cordless weed whacker to replace an old battery. It works great. Our yard is about 1/3 acre and fenced in, and I can do the whole yard, or nearly the whole yard in one go. I tend to just throw it on the charger, do some weeding, and then go back to weed whacking if necessary. Great improvement from our old battery, much more light weight!!

What a surprise to have this arrived two days after I ordered it! And it fits in the P102 charger :-) the old P102's did not hold their charge very long after the first coupleof months. I've had the Ryobi set for over a year. And I also have the Ryobi 40 v trimmer and blower. Now those batteries hold their charge a long time and I'm real happy with their ability to do so. I'll try to get back and post a follow up in terms of how long the new 18 V Holds its charge and performs.
