TONS of features for the price. Only gripe is that the connectors that allow you to charge your phone don't store on the device anywhere. I purchased a small zippered bag (like a bank bag) to keep everything together. Fantastic combination of other features at a great price more than make up for that inconvenience.

This little gadget has soooo many features. Radio, beacon light, emergency siren, flashlight. It is has two power sources. Wind up and solar. If you don't let your phone go dead it will recharge your phone up to 50% battery charge. Great for any emergency or camping situation. A must have emergency device.

I bought one for myself to have for emergency kit at home and used it during our last power outage. It came in so handy that I wanted my daughter and her family to have one. It is compact and a "must have" in any emergency kit! A perfect practical gift!

I got this little solar flashlight for my annual summer camp and it works like a charm! Well worth the price. It even charged my cell phone which really surprised me :)

I have purchased these solar handcrank devices in the past and they have been lifesavers during blackouts. I used one last year during a massive power outage in Southern california to stay current on the news. The price is much better here on Amazon. This is a high quality product and I strongly recommend keeping several around the house in the car and in your workplace.

This thing is awesome! Everything works and my husband has been playing with it a lot! We live up in the woods and the power goes out a lot in the winter for mass amounts of time. We don't have telephones except cellphones up here so it's great we can crank-charge our phones! Only problem- the light lens is loose in the ring, but not too bad. It looks as if the mold hinge wasn't long enough to keep it in place. But it's really just a simple super glue fix. Nothing to disgrace the whole product about.

When I got this thing, I almost laughed out loud at how much stuff they packed into it. Solar panel and hand crank for power generation. AM/FM radio. Flashlight. Emergency beacon. Alarm. USB port for charging a cell phone. I wish I had been on the design team - that would've been a lot of fun. The only thing missing is a soda dispenser.
Well, if you're looking for one small, cheap, lightweight device that will give you light, radio, emergency beacon, and in a pinch an ability to get a few % of cell phone charging, then ... here it is. Period.
I do have a higher end version of this type of device, which was more than twice as expensive. It's more rugged than this one, and has a few feature this doesn't (but no beacon). So, if you want one of these for general emergency preparedness, this is not the only option you have. But for basic low-budget multi-functional capability, this thing is GREAT.
PS Don't be naive, though, you can't crank it a few times to charge a cell phone. Be prepared to put in some elbow grease for that

2 thumbs way up! This is an incredible emergency light/radio .. it's handcranked so requires no batteries and also runs on solar power. Great for campers, hikers, an emergency kit in your car, or for preppers. I would recommend this item for everyone.

This is an excellent item for my emergency kit. It does so many things. The hand crank is an ingenious invention: Inexpensive, lightweight, and easy to use. In an emergency, if I could only hang on to one item, it would be this.

Great size! I was expecting it to be much bigger. Doesn't seem to charge the phone, not that it even includes a connector for modern phones lol. But we have an old razor and it only seemed to charge when you continually hand cranked it. Overall I bought it for if the power goes out and our BOB.
