I have a massive collection of tools, 40,000$ + worth. I like to buy the high quality tools and equipment, most glue guns I have owned where 5$ sissy crap. I had no issue letting my children using them for projects, it wasn't hot enough to cause any real burns. I used hot glue for RC airplane construction and repair and other light duty jobs around the house. I started building a dollhouse for my wife and wasn't happy with the results of the cheap glue guns and sticks. So I wanted to find a pro-grade gun, I found some that where 100$ and up that could probably glue the wheels on my jeep. I also found sissy arts & crafts guns for less than 10$, no way I'm getting that glittery glue gun(my friends would make fun of me) and the other one sounded awesome. I couldn't justify spending 150$ on the über gun so I found this one to be the best match. It had a silicone tip that could be changed and a check ball in the tip to keep it from dripping. It heats up in around a minute and has a on/off switch, it takes 7/16 sticks and eats them like a tyrannosaurus Rex. Just to prim it I had to use 3 sticks then I tried it out, WOW this thing is HOT. The lower end sticks shot out of it like a squirt gun and the ooze was SMOKING. First time I have seen that! By swapping the tips I could change the dispersion rates and bead size. The crappy glue I was using got real hot and runny so I'm going to try better glue sticks. This gun is great for building planes, houses and anything around the house. I wouldn't let kids use this without supervision and I suggest you don't smooth the seams with your finger. It burned the crap out of mine. If you frequently use a hot glue gun you should get this one. You will love it

I've been using this gun 4-6 hours a day for the last 4 weeks and it's been great. For the price this is an excellent tool, a million times better than the Stanley I had before. Best $40 tool I've bought in a while.

This glue gun is used every single day at my business. I have had it now about a 6 months and have had no problems. Very pleased with the product.

This glue gun is so good I had to buy one for my bestie! No leakage (except when you first turn it on) and I have not had a single problem with it since the purchase several months ago. Definitely a must have for any crafty lady!

Nice looking, fast heating, And no mess if you know how to use it.
Works well and 100+watts is a must when working on Heavy duty materials with high temp glue.

Almost every glue gun that I have ever used before this one, was the typical small gun that drips when it is hot and sitting. That is just the beginning for this wonderful glue gun that does NOT drip. It has a full grip so your whole hand can control the trigger. When you release the trigger, the pressure on the glue stick is released, so there is no way the glue is forced out of th gun when you don't want it.

The built-in wire stand holds the gun upright as pictured. When sitting like that, it does not drip. When dispensing glue, the gun gives you a lot of control. The glue goes where you put it, and in the amounts that you intended to use.
Being a 100 watt gun, it makes very hot glue, this gun is not a toy for children, the glue coming from it will burn you. This might sound like a defect, but it is actually just the opposite. When applying hot glue to whatever you intend to glue, the last thing you would want is for the glue to start to harden before you get the parts mated properly. In order for that to happen, the glue must be very hot, and it is.
As a tip, if you are gluing something big and it is cold, it will be hard to get your project together before the glue starts to set. heat the project parts with a blow dryer, once they are warm, start gluing the parts.
The tip of the gun has plastic around it and the tip can be removed, and exchanged for other tips that are sold separately. It would be nice if they sold a package deal that came with the three extra tips for a discounted price. In any case, the three tips that are sold together are very useful. You get one that is flat and wide, one that is long and skinny, and another that is wider round and has the tip cut at an angle. The tip that comes with the gun is a fine general use tip, and it will be what most people would use. Someone who is working with wood might want the wide flat tip. The red plastic that is around the stock tip allows the glue to be peeled off of it, The three optional tips are aluminum and brass, and have a plastic washer that goes between the tip and the gun. I'm guessing that is so the tip can be removed more easily after it is used. The tips are very rugged, and made well. The gun has a 5 foot two conductor electrical cord. Over all this is a quality product that fully deserves its current five star rating. The last bit of information I would like to share with you is about the glue. Hot glue is far from all being the same. Stanley makes some glue that is tough as nails, and sticks to nearly everything. When you find it, you will have to read the reviews before you buy it. That is how costly it is, It is as good as they say, and if you need a super strong glue that will stick to almost anything, you will want Stanley GS500BK, it is a yellow glue, and that is the only complaint anyone ever had about it. I should also mention that not all glue guns can use that Stanley GS500BK, that is because many glue guns are no where near 100 watts, and this glue needs this gun, or a hotter gun, but not a colder gun. Other glue that is very good is made by Surebonder, the makers of this glue gun. It is called Best Stick, and while the package says that it is 40% stronger, they don't compare it to any other glue, all I can say is that it is very good glue, and it cools to a nice hard finish. You might ask about what makes hot glue not good? It is about how soft the glue is at room temperature, and how soft it would get in common everyday situations. The last thing anyone wants is for their hot glued parts top come apart when they get warm, and something puts a little pressure on it. I mentioned two glues you can buy on Amazon, both are excellent.

Hot glue gun works great. The tip is coated to help protect you from burns but the glue coming out is plenty hot. This model is 100-watts of heat, my older unit that still was hot had 70-watts of heat. The nice thing about the extra wattage is if you are ever in a situation where you need to glue a lot in a shorter period of time.

My 70-watt unit could not do a continuous feed even at a slow rate of only 3 feet without cooling down from the glue temp and stopping. This 100-watt unit allowed me to produce a continuous bead of glue without cooling down and stopping.

The squeeze trigger is nice and when you let go the glue stops. Some other models still pour up to another inch of glue when you stopped squeezing the trigger. This unit was very accurate. The base of the unit also includes an on/off switch so you don't have to reach down to the floor to unplug it to shut it down temporarily.

PROS:
- 100 watts of power allows longer continuous runs
- descent length of power cable (about 6 feet)
- on/off switch on base
- comfortable grip
- stopping pressure on grip stops pour of glue
- insulated tip
- balanced, can stand on base on flat surface without falling on side

CONS:
- others want to borrow it

Compared to every other glue gun I've ever used or seen, this is by far the best. It heats quickly, it feeds smoothly and, best of all, it's sturdily built.

I suffered with a 40-watt trigger-fed glue gun for many years. It clogged, balked, took a long time to heat up, wouldn't feed well, and just did not perform well overall. It made hot gluing an unpleasant time-consuming ordeal.
I ordered (2) Surebonder Pro2-100 glue guns and a large box of Economy glue sticks. I put the Pro2-100 through its paces yesterday for about an hour worth of wood gluing. Super Job! It warms up in a reasonable amount of time, much shorter warm up than my old gun. 3 minutes maybe? Less than 5 minutes for sure. The On-Off switch is a nice feature and was used several times in between gluing sessions. The large hand lever is a nice feature. It takes less effort, allowing your entire hand grip to do the squeezing versus a trigger/finger feed system. The nozzle did not leak more than a drop here and there, and mostly when I was cycling it OFF, in between uses, this is normal per the instructions. During actual usage the dripping was nearly imperceptible. When you stop squeezing, it pretty much stops gluing. The Pro2 instructions say to replace the tip when the nozzle starts leaking excessively. This gun also accepts a pack of 3 accessory tips that give various flow and patterns. I did not opt for these extra tips, however, they are worth looking at if someone has a specific function they are doing that would be complimented by the use of a custom tip.
The only Con I can think of, during use, was the wire nose stand got in my way while gluing inside a 90 degree joint...the stand does work and does what is supposed to do, it just needs to be folded back into stowed position before using in tight places like corners. Knowing I would be gluing those types of joints the stand was left in the folded position and the gun simply laid on its side.
The built in temperature setting was spot on, the glue was neither too hot nor too cold, yielding a consistent flow and able to keep up on long runs of glue. On the wood project it made strong connections and joints.
Overall a great product, good value, Surebonder brand gluesticks are quite prevalent, available virtually everywhere. I used bulk generic brand sticks and they worked just fine, too! Very pleased with this selection.

Excellent glue gun. I upgraded from a 30W gun to this 100W gun and what a difference it makes. This gun heats quickly and gets the glue so hot that it keys into the material better and really forms a good bond. The lower wattage gun melted the glue, but I see now that it never got hot enough to really bond as well. This gun also heats the glue to where it is thinner and will get into crevases much better. I like this gun for semi-permanent bonds. I have a project where I am using this to glue 3" PVC pipe and the bond is super good and holds as good as the PVC glue, BUT I can can also take the pieces apart if I need to by using a heat gun and softening up the glue and removing the pieces and reusing them. I also use this gun to make electrical boxes and I drill the holes slightly oversize and glue in the metal connectors and if I need to remove them, I can. I took two pieces of PVC pipe and glued them end to end without a connector and it will hold up to 20 psi. Pretty impressive. The little glue guns are great for arts and crafts, but if you are gluing anything substantial, you have to have a gun like this.
