Great tool for money. A tool I wouldn't buy at the Snap On price, but a valuable addition to my farm tool kit.
UPDATE, I just used this tool on a very difficult job. I even abused it to get the job done and it held up beyond my expectations. I was about to resort to taking it to a shop or torching it off, but this breaker bar saved me more time trouble effort and MONEY that I paid for it.
Can't say enough good.

I'm not sure any other tool in my arsenal puts a smile on my face when I get to use it... This one does.
It is extremely well built, and verging on hilariously long at nearly 40". THE tool to have if you are removing the Jesus nut on axles/hubs/wheel bearings/etc. 15 year old nuts torqued to 250lbft at the factory are loosened with hardly any effort. No heat. No PB Blaster. Just some good ole' T=r x F.
I wish there were more excuses to use it. Perhaps if you are a heavy equipment mechanic but not for a lowly DIYer.
Other possible uses include:
- Reloading civil war reenactment cannons
- Billiards cue

Though I have never owned a TEKTON tool before, this 25 inch breaker bar is very impressive! It was waaaay bigger and heavier than I had pictured. I put an 1 1/8th socket on this bad boy and it turned a blot that had been a nightmare to budge before. I had to use a two foot monkey wrench with a length of galvanized pipe cheater to do it the first time. That was very awkward and the job turned out to be a huge hassle and a knuckle buster to boot. But the leverage and the swivel head on the TEKTON took that bolt OFF (and properly tightened it) like that bolt was made of cheese (be careful because it would be very easy to brake off a lug nut or over tighten something very easily) I couldn't believe how much easier it was to accomplish something that was so hard before; trying to hold a two foot wrench AND a cheater bar AND also trying to hold the mowing deck steady all at one time was a real pain in the old arse. But it was a breeze with the right tool, and the strain being put on the bar didn't even seem like it was stressing the bar AT ALL. It preformed so effortlessly that I now have the confidence that the TEKTON will take a lot of abuse and torque with no problem. Those are the facts.

This is one of those tools you may not need often, but when you do it is well worth the purchase. I was afraid when I ordered this that it might not be high quality, However I was wrong. It has a quality finished and super strong. As I have aged, I do not have the strength and need extra leverage to loosen and tighten bolts on farm implements. They are usually rusted and may have not been turned in years. This unit does the trick.

This breaker bar is a solid-built breaker bar measuring 24 inches long. I personally bought it to take tire lug nuts off of my vehicles and it works perfectly for that. In fact, I barely have to use much force to break lug nuts that are torqued to 108lbs. I can definitely see this breaker bar being useful for larger bolts that are rusted on or heat cycled.
Included when you buy this breaker bar is simply the 1/2 inch drive bar itself. Unlike Tekton's torque wrench there is no carrying case included in this purchase. This is to be expected since its simply a breaker bar and not a sensitive instrument like a torque wrench.
Pros:
*Can generate a lot of torque easily
*Works great for tires
Cons:
*None so far
Additional Considerations:
If you are looking at tightening tire lug nuts, it is not recommended that you use this breaker bar as you cannot measure the amount of force the lug nut will be torqued at. To do that I would recommend looking into TEKTON 24335 1/2-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench, 10-150-Foot/Pound which will allow you to accurately tighten any fastener to a proper torque between 10 and 150lbs.
Overall: 5/5 stars (>=.5 rounds up, <.5 rounds down) => 5 stars

This breaker bar is fantastic! I replaced my rear shocks last weekend and my 24 inch breaker bar couldn't budge the top bolts. Immediately, this 40 inch breaker bar loosened the bolts. I thought I would only use this a couple times over the course of a year, but it has already saved me in two projects.

I use this for tightening the bolts on an Equal-i-zer hitch to 320 ft-lb along with a large torque wrench I have. This is the right tool for the job and it will not bend. I used a 1/2" breaker bar (with a pipe for an extension) and it got a bend in it.

This is the boss of lug nut removals. I'm so glad I have this thing because I will no longer fear hurting myself trying to remove stubborn bolts. I removed over-torqued lug nuts today that were seemingly stuck on my car, and that a smaller breaker bar couldn't budge. This 40 inch breaker bar made it fun and easy to get them off. I'm keeping it in my car!

This (#15353) is apparently the newer version of Tekton's breaker bar. The old one (#1695) has a shiny head made from Chrome Vanadium, where this one has a black head made from Chrome Moly. Generally speaking Cr-Mo is better than Cr-V. It is stronger and less brittle, and usually seen on more expensive tools. So it is a slight upgrade from the older model.
Anyway the tolerances seem a bit loose on this breaker bar, but it has worked well for me so far. I have always found Tekton tools to be a pretty good value for your money. The good thing about buying cheap tools: use them twice and you already feel like you have got your money's worth.

My eyes popped when I pulled this out of the shipping box! You cannot appreciate the size and quality of this tool until you actually hold it in your hands! It is huge! And beautiful! The chrome plating is top notch and the forged handle is very nicely formed. A tool you will be proud to own and show to your envious neighbors. I started grunting like "Tim the Toolman" when I first held it!
Previously, I attempted to remove a seized nut from a bush hog blade by using a cheater pipe on a Craftsman Breaker Bar with no success. Did not budge the nut, but did manage to bend the bar! Went on a local search for a sturdier Breaker Bar at Sears, NAPA, Harbor Freight, Grainger, and Tractor Supply. None of them had what I considered to be an adequate size and most of them were way more expensive than this one.
Gave up the local search, went on Amazon, and found this beauty. What a lucky break! As soon as it arrived, I attached a strong, impact-style socket and removed that seized nut with just a bit of effort. Very impressed with this tool and would recommend it to anybody.
Now, each evening, I sit and polish this beautiful tool, dreaming of a time when I can use it again!
