I purchased this for use with our 8 gallon shop vac for cleaning out the pellet stove ashes. I am extremely pleased with this filter, no dust or anything flying around while shop vac is on or after turning off. If you are in need of something that will do the job this is the item for you. We spent lots more on a different kind of set up for cleaning up the ashes and now it will just decorate the garage as it was a waste of money and time.

This filter can be cleaned by rinsing with water. This is better than simply tapping or air blowing.

I can't attest to its filtering ability, it could be that it does no better than the standard, but it is definitely sturdier, it is super easy to install, comes with a replacement cap thing too (I'm not sure why as I still have the old one but why not). Best part was that it wasn't much more than the standard filter.

Bought this for a sheetrock sanding project since the stock filter simply blew the dust in the air. This puppy works!! No blowby! Old filter passed 80% of the dust from the wood stove ashes right through and in to the room...this filters passes zero...yes I said zero! If you have one of these vacs this filter is a must have and a no brainer-these vacs should have came with them! Shame on Shop Vac for installing the original, crap filter.

This filter does catch very small debris from ash. Purchased for Wood Stove cleaning and it blocks the dust(ash)from blowing all over the house like the stock filter. Works as described...

This works great and is so easy to clean. I was going to just replace the one I had with what had come in it, but after coming across this one I just couldnt pass it up. Now I can vacuum wet as much as I like and just rinse when Im done. This will probably outlast the shopvac!

This filter blows away the standard filter that comes with a ShopVac. My previous filter was constantly getting clogged, and still let dust particles through, which is not acceptable in terms of air quality in my shop. I bought this filter in hopes that it would provide a better filter, as well as not limit the suction power of the ShopVac. When I paired my ShopVac equipped with the Ultra-Web Cartridge and a Dust Deputy, the difference is unbelievable.

I am mainly using this more my workshop cutting wood, so this is great for picking up sawdust.

Note: Without a dust separator like the Dust Deputy, the filter will always get clogged, but it still outperforms the original ShopVac filter.

Very happy with this filter. I have used it dry and wet. Works great, and really does come clean with a quick spray from the hose. If I'm in a hurry between good washings I just tap it on the driveway and it knocks most of the dust from it.

This is a wonderful find. I have a pellet stove and we use this in conjunction with a bag. We had problems in the past with a paper filer and bags, the soot would be air born. We have used this several times with no issues. I would recommend.

I purchased this to replace the original that came with my shop vac. The original was just really nasty from all the mixture of garage jobs and wet vacuuming over the years. I probably should have replaced it much earlier, but oh well.
So far this filter has been a great replacement, the suction is still very strong and the smell has gone away!
Easy to install and was a perfect fit.
