I will start by saying that this thing is freakin awesome!! I really didn't expect that much from this saw and only thought I would be using it for very small tasks or in confined spaces. It really is so much more than that and can be utilized greatly. It will by no means replace and 18v or corded sawzall, but then again no one in their right mind should expect it to. This will cut pvc, copper, steel, wood, plastic and just about anything you can throw it's way. When cutting wood, this saw will vibrate considerably more than one would expect. I suspect this is due it's 1/2" stroke length and it's small size. This saw is a beast for it's size and is a great addition to my m12 lineup of tools. I currently have the impact driver, sawzall, hammer-drill, rotary tool, plumb laser, and subcompact driver with 6 total batteries (4 regular, and 2 xc). As M. Hernandez mentioned and recommended, do yourself a favor and use an xc battery in this beast to match great run-time with the wonderful power and usefulness of this saw. Thanks for reading, Ray.

so impressed with the 12 volt series. i needed this tool for one cut a on a job and wondered if i would ever really need it again. but i reach for it all the time. works extremely well cutting rigid foam, exhaust pipe, nails, and just about anything. it's not a 12o volt sawsall so don't expect it to be. i rate this tool at 5 stars because it's light weight, has good power, the light is extremely handy, and like the rest of the 12 volt series, it fits great in my bags.

Outstanding for home use, cutting in tight spaces, and making non-precision cuts in PVC, wood, metal, etc. Reasonable accuracy with a steady hand. Cuts like a hot knife through butter. Blade changes are fast and easy, just like the big boy Sawzall. I was always irked by spending much more time prepping (getting the tool out of the case, plugging in, changing blades, etc.) to cut a random piece of material for a small project than it took to make the cut. Not so with this thing. Pop in the proper blade (most times it's already in) and off you go. Also real handy for trimming low branches and cutting up fallen branches in the yard. Takes regular Sawzall blades. Very light. Easy one handed operation. Vibration is nil. Obviously not for major demo. If you know how to use a Sawzall, you know how to use this. It ain't brain surgery. Can't speak to long-term durability, but so far this thing is absolutely great. No regrets.

Excellent tool, used for tight spaces on small job and its powerful enough to cut cast iron out the right blade and a big enough battery and it will perform just don't put a used blade and a small battery.

I wasn't sure how useful this would actually end up being, but the price was right and the reviews were good so I gave it a shot. This has been the most used of my Milwaukee tools so far. I can do nearly everything I need with this, without pulling out the big sawzall.

The power is great, has more than enough run time and the build quality is excellent. Overall I highly recommend it.

This thing is awesome. I didn't think it would be that strong but it cut through a 1.5" exhaust pipe with not much problem. The thing that is great about this saw is you can use it with one hand. The regular sawzall saws are big and you need two hands. This is great for smaller stuff. I already had the Milwaukee M12 ratchet (one of my favorite tools) so I had the battery. Great tool.

great little tool for around the house and in the yard to trim those larger branches. This is my second one i have purcahsed. The first one we had for four years and we used it A LOT. I removed grout on my whole first floor (what a job that was) and in the yard in the spring, fall and summer every year. So I got my monies worth, we reached for this tool all the time and it always performed until I killed it. The blade got caught and couldn't be removed (trimming a plam tree) and the shop wanted a rediculous price to have it fixed. Better off buying new then to pay for the expense.

Very easy to control and the smaller size gives you access to most cutting jobs. Does not have pivoting foot but is still very good at plunge cuts and the blades from my larger 'electric' Sawzall fit this as well. This is a review for the 'Bare tool' (sans battery)......speaking of batteries: you'll want to have an extra on hand for any job over about ten to fifteen minutes but I had the red lithium batteries from other Milwaukee 12-Volt tools and swapping them out is a snap. Those red lithiums charge in about thirty minutes so even having just one is not a deal breaker. I recommend this small and versatile tool for any home project. My plumber used the identical tool to cut cast iron pipe in our ninety-year old house.

Excellant tool!! Great for small wood or metal cuts. I have found that it is most useful cutting up boxes into pieces in order to completely fill my recycling bin with card board. This tool cuts thru any box into any size strips with almost no effort. Also great for trimming trees, hedges, dog chew bones etc. An absolute must for any DIY'er.

5 stars as long as you are not expecting it to perform like it's big brother that plugs in. It is very handy for lighter weight use, confined spaces and trimming small branches in the yard. Due to it's light weight it does want to jump around in your hand a lot when cutting.

After all, my wife and I have gone through close to a dozen hand-held pruning saws during the 20+ years we've lived on our property. Those pruning saws always cut well when new but seem to get dull very quickly. With their close set, needle-like teeth they're also difficult to sharpen - and I've sharpened regular saws using saw sets and files. Eac...
