Just got this baby the other day. Bare tool since I already have the M18 compact impact, sawzall, circular saw, 2 compact drill/drivers, flashlight, and grinder. This tool has some serious power. Pulled the front wheels off my bosses Super Duty Yesterday. Impact barely tried and lugs came right off. I very impressed. My boss was like try doing that without smiling. I could not stop smiling. Once again Milwaukee WOWs me. Thanks for making my life easier.

I bought this impact wrench after considering air powered and electric wrenches. Air involved the purchase of a compressor and all of the other stuff you need to properly operate air tools. The electrics were certainly priced right, but were big, heavy and required a heavy gauge extension cord to use any distance from their power source.
Happy days for me when I came across this impact from Milwaukee. I love my other 18 volt lithium ion powered Milwaukee tools and decided to give this impact a try. As usual, Milwaukee came through with a compact and powerful tool that has great ergonomics in your hand and does what it says it will. The bonus of not being tethered by an air hose or electrical cord is just icing on the cake.
This impact was purchased to remove the nut that holds the drive sprocket on my motorcycle. Torque values for this nut are 95 ft. lbs.. The Milwaukee impact spun the nut loose in about 2 seconds. The adjustable trigger pressure on this impact also made it possible for me to pre torque with the impact and follow up with a torque wrench to reinstall the sprocket nut.
You can tell by now that I am very pleased with the Milwaukee impact wrench 2663-20. I highly recommend this impact wrench.

If you ever want to try out an impact wrench to determine whether it has the guts to get it done or not try taking out a crankshaft bolt. These suckers are notoriously tight and almost no electric impact wrenches can handle them and only the best air impact wrenches less than 3/4" drive can handle them. THIS WRENCH CAN HANDLE THEM. Took off my crankshaft bolt, which had never been remove in 15 years from my 3800 engined Grand Prix with hardly even breathing hard. That a cordless tool could have this much power is astounding.

I ordered this impact through my mother-in laws account, hence the female name for the review and I wanted to take a moment and give a review on this tool. I have had the tool for two months and I have been nothing but impressed with its power. I bought the tool as a side tool to my 3/8" Milwaukee impact wrench, however, the ½" high torque bare impact wrench is used more often. I run my own mobile repair business in automotive repair and I have used air tools for years. Air tools are noisy and the hose gets in the way. I am also concerned with the hose rubbing on my customer's vehicle paint jobs. The power is amazing allowing me to remove bolts on struts, shocks, engine mounts, transmission mounts, cylinder head bolts, CV shaft hub nuts, and everything else I have given it. The tool has plenty of power for me to use extensions to get to hard to reach places. The problem with using extensions is the distributed torque is reduced from the tool to the bolt, however, I was surprised when I had 2' of ½" extensions and was able to break loose three 12mm bolts from a rear engine mount. I would also like to mention I had a ½" impact swivel at the end and the impact still took off the bolts with ease. The battery life is phenomenal dropping from 100% to 50% after three suspension jobs replacing all of the struts and shocks. At the end of the day I never had to recharge the battery. In two months I have not had to use my pneumatic impact wrench once. I am able to start working earlier and end latter because I can work quieter without the noise of the air compressor. This is the high powered go-to tool everyone should have when doing large jobs.

I only own one Milwaukee 18V drill that I have been pleased with. I am starting to do my own Zero Turn mower maintenance and needed a tool to remove my blades to sharpen, put on and take off a mulch kit etc etc. I was actually a little reluctant to purchase this because I have often wondered how much torque / power can a battery tool provide, right? WOW! I was completely blown away with the power the wrench has. It made putting the baffles and new mulch blades on my new mower a piece of cake! Actually, it was probably overkill and I could have gotten away with a 3/8 or 1/4 drive but hey, it's nice to know I can strip off the tires off a big rig if I ever decided to buy one! The wrench is well balanced and easy to handle. I strongly recommend this for anyone to have in their armament of tools. BRAVO Milwaukee! What a great product!

I read many of the reviews on this impact drill so I was pretty sure it was good. It is good. I bought the friction ring version because I have to change sockets all the time. This thing is strong and fast. With no air hoses to drag around....i'm happy. It took the Main hub bolts off my 2002 Jeep to change my wheel bearings just fine. Those babies were on there too! I have a Hakzall milwaukee M18 and use the battery from that for this. Battery life is VERY good on this drill. Not so much on the Hakzall but very strong and long enough to get done what is needed.

I feel like this impact could tear anything apart. Lug nuts, even way overtorqued, are spun off instantly. I haven't really found a tough enough fastener yet to put the torque capacity to the test.

It's longer than an air impact and heavier. But not too heavy, and maneuverable enough. Before I got my 3/8" m12 impact, I gladly used this to spin off 10mm bolts. It's pleasurable and quick.

I used this for two days working on my car last weekend and the XC battery is still showing the full 4 bars of charge. I really don't understand why anyone would use an air impact for most automotive work. I feel sorry for the guys at tire shops toting hoses around. What a waste.

The compact m18 would probably be enough for most work, including tire changes. I got this because I didn't ever wanna come up against a fastener I couldn't break loose (I've had my share of frustrations with cheap air tools). Once I saw how well this worked, I decided I wanted something light and maneuverable for small fasteners, and got the m12 with xc battery (apparently m12 with standard battery is too weak). The m12 can break loose bolts torqued to 65ftlb (my tests), and this m18 takes care of everything else. I'm a happy man!

I used this a few times and have been very impressed with it. I have always been looking for a cordless impact that would work to pull car tires and this one does. The limited time that I have used this impact I have been very impressed.

I bought this tool to work on farming equipment(harvesters). Being out in the field, the middle of nowhere, and with no source of power, this tool makes hard work... ...easy! It has out preformed other models such as the Dewalt and even the Snap-On High Output model(and I love Snap-On). It hits hard and breaks free the toughest of rusted nuts. I've even changed loaded, 38" tires that were torqued using a torque multiplier. The battery last forever, and this thing just continues to amaze me. I'd recommend this beast to anyone.

I abuse my impact gun, I lay it on the concrete floor, step on it (by mistake), drop it from a foot or two off the ground. It works extremely well! The M18 series of tools by Milwaukee has a LARGE selection of various tools. This one has a good torque rating to break stubborn bolts, etc.

I highly recommend this for any auto mechanic or auto-aficionado who loves to work on cars.

Those pruning saws always cut well when new but seem to get dull very quickly. With their close set, needle-like teeth they're also difficult to sharpen - and I've sharpened regular saws using saw sets and files. Eac...
