Milwaukee's tools are top notch. As a mechanical contractor i put most of them to use daily with no problems. I bought this ratchet to use at home since one of my hobbies are wrenching on cars. I've had it for a few months and love it. It came in handy when installing a new motor in my truck. i use it to tighten bolts then come behind that with a torque wrench. no more air hoses to drag around and trip over and it also has an led light so you can see what you're doing.

I continue to grow my Milwaukee M12 and M18 tool bags and boxes. As a general handiman /home improvment hobbyist, around my home and cabin, Milwaukee has gotten me through 25-30 years labor saving tasks with reliable solid service. This tool is no exception. It is great for the quick little stuff that can be a PITA to get to. Whether in a small space or ackward reach it does the job. In the open it is a relief of strain and time. I find myself using this tool more every day. I have actually have gotten lazy about going for other manual and ratcheting tools. This tool is not for heavy duty use. Just guessing on 3/4 nuts or 3/8 bolts at under about 50 pounds torque, you will have to break them loose or finish tightening them with hand tools. Zipping any typical smaller stuff is easy work. Battery time is relative to the job but not bad overall, especially with the xc series batery. Never used it enough to kill a M12 battery in one use yet. One Milwaukee tool I advise against is the M12 little hackzall type thing... not enough poop, but the M18 circular saw is really strong and very handy for the small jobs. The Milwaukee M18 Vacuum is very handy ... the wife steals it regularly .. only problem is the thing is deafening loud. I also really like the M12 driver, the one with the 1/4 bit chuck. This tool is extremely handy around the house and much more sustantial than less expensive versions by others. I probably use this M12 driver the most of all my Milwaukee toys. Milwaukee in general is well worth the little extra expense.
11/4/2012--->Follow up... yep ratchet continues to be a handy, medium to light wieght, lazy man or senior, hand tool. Would like to add to my comment on the 6-1/2 M18 circular saw... great investment good tool. Had need to use it on 2 good sized outdoor projects. It's a workhorse that is good on batteries, much better tool than expected. Used intermitantly for 2 projects, each 3-4 days long, for 4x8 5/8 OSB cuts and 2x4 and 2x6 cuts. Each project required only one fresh battery change during the 3-4 days for homeowner /handy man type work. Keep a sharp blade in it. Working without being on a cord tether is really getting to be fun.

This tool is great for automotive work where detrimming is required. I use it in a shop environment daily and it makes pulling interior and exterior pieces easy. I very rarely reach for a manual ratchet now. Battery lasts a few days before needing recharge. Normally I charge at the end of the day.

I went back and forth for a year on buying this, then I just decided to pick one up and see how it went. The biggest issue in my mind was the 35 ft/lbs and after using it I was pleasantly surprised. This is not an impact and it is not an air ratchet, it is an electric 3/8 ratchet. Sure, you can go to walmart and pick up a $30 50 ft/lbs air ratchet, but this is not a air ratchet or impact and people keep expecting that kind of performance which is not realistic and I am sure then they would complain about the battery life if it did perform on that level. lol. This is for smaller things that you would normally use a 3/8 ratchet on and it speeds up the process considerably and thats what it is supposed to do, it is not meant for breaking huge bolts loose. For tough bolts you simply use it like a regular ratchet to break them loose then use it as an electric for the rest. If you have ever had a powerful air ratchet slam you're hand around a engine compartment you realize sometimes less power isnt always a bad thing. The two huge advantages of this are no air compressor required, with that being said you could possibly save alot on that alone. The second being no hose to drag around and if you're like me you dont always have the luxury of fixing cars in you're garage.
On the repairs I have done it has saved a lot of time and while maintaining a good battery life, and yes batteries are not included read the description. A Snap On 3/8 electric I priced out was $230 without battery or charger and had 40 ft/lbs. Just buy a 3/8 to 1/4 drive adapter and you're set, not sure why people would buy the 1/4 version. I do have many milwaukee tools and batteries just laying around so that was a obvious buy on the bare tool for me. its great for what it is. Its like online dating have realistic expectations and you wont be disappointed. lol.

I love my Milwaukee tools. I just added this one and glad I did. This Milwaukee Ratchet allows me to get into tight spots that my Milwaukee Impact can't get into and now I don't have to worry about busting my knuckles while trying to break loose the bolts in those hard to reach areas. This ratchet is nice. 35 foot pounds of torque doesn't sound like much, but that should be more than enough for anything within the engine bay area or under the dash.

Use it in my shop constantly, this and my cordless impact are my "go-to" tools, so much easier than air tools.

Used this tool to disassemble my vehicle. Works great with plenty of torque to handle most jobs. For jobs requiring more torque, I broke the bolts loose with a breaker bar and used the tool to extract the loosened bolt. Battery life has been good too.

Love this tool. The integrated LED light is useful as well... and it stays on briefly after you stop the tool so you always a bit of a light getting the wrench into (or out of) dark areas around your vehicle.

awesome tool for tight places! This tool has really made hard tedious jobs much faster and easier. When you have to run fasteners in or out in tight places and just one fastener/nut will take you minutes to undo or redo...you can do them all in the time it takes to do one by hand wrenching.

I love this tool, however I will say that it is not as awesome as I thought it would be, mostly because of the limited torque. I still find myself using the 1/4 inch Fuel Impact Wrench for most jobs, and I absolutely would not trade my 1/4 inch Fuel Impact for anything.
