I had the predecessor to this model and after many years of great service it took a dump and the low end gears stripped. I was going to replace it with the exact model but found this new and improved version for $30 less. It's has 100in/Oz more torque and the led stays on for a few seconds so you can see what you are working on. I already had new batteries and the charger so this was a no brainer. This is an AWESOME tool, best ever.

I have three of these, as well as two Milwaukee impact drivers. I've not been kind to them, and so far they've stood up to the abuse. My oldest drill (it's about 6 years old now) is starting to shoot some sparks, but it still works fine. I looked into replacing the brushes, but for the cost and hassle it's easier just to replace the whole unit. I took one of the drills apart because the high speed function quit working (I dropped it off a tall ladder). The gears showed virtually no wear after three years of use. Never could get the thing to work in high speed, but it still drives screws fine.

I'm a heavy duty mechanic and use this drill pretty much daily at work drilling metals, it's taken the shop use and abuse no problem. Lots of torque to drill through thick metals, I've even used it with a 6" holesaw through hardened steel which heated it up pretty good but it still managed. Switch it to low speed and I have no doubt it could break your wrist if you let it. Only downside to this drill is it likes to eat up batteries when being worked so you'll want to have a few if you're doing any considerably amount of drilling. Everyday I get the other mechanics asking if they can borrow it for whatever they're working on.

This drill is a workhorse and very well made!!! I bought it about a month ago and could not be happier. I am flipping a house so a good cordless drill is an absolute essential. Everybody knows that Milwaukee is a very good brand. So you know what you're getting when you buy one. I was going to buy the smaller one with the M12 battery because its small size makes it easy to fit in small places, but since I have been using this one I haven't run into any issues and it has more torque which is handy. My only problem is that mine didn't come with a clip, which would have been nice. Other than that, it is truly a fantastic drill.

I wanted to get a new cordless drill and liked the reviews of the Milwaukee 2606-20 18-volt drill. I previously bought an M18 impact driver so I have batteries and a charger to match the new drill. I decided to go with the bare drill as a result and it all works very well together. Amazon was offering a really good price on this item so it was time to move forward and purchase it.

Great tool. Plenty of power for larger bits. Great battery life. Compact size to get into areas where room is tight on the sides. Like the LED light.

A great drill I have had this drill smoking and so hot you couldn't touch it drilling six in holes in a roof I thought it was burnt up but after it cooled down it works just as good

Milwaukee...What more can you say quality and power.

Just what I wanted, it works smooth. The only quirk is the LED work light, the chuck creates a shadow right where the drill bit is. What were they thinking?
