This M-18 line is a great set up. with the small Ion batteries, makes for a light but heavy duty drill/driver/hammer drill.

Charge time is minimal, but lasts through just about any job. Be sure to have a back up battery
and you'll never have to stop to charge. I have several of these both in 1/2 and the smaller-
easier on the wrist 3/8" model. They also make a heavy duty battery that holds more charge.
Also make a inexpensive flashlight we keep by the back door, and another in the shop.
Are you convinced yet?

Rock solid, indestructible. The only thing that seems to be annoying is the bits don't want to stay tight in the chuck. We bought 4 of these in October 2010. Use(abuse) every day. The 4 that we bought are finally starting to fail one by one. Believe it or not the 4 1/2 year old batteries are still going strong. The new drills are to replace the one that are starting to fail. Big Yellow wouldn't have this long of a life span. Well worth the money if you are a professional that relies on your tools every day.

So far so good. I needed a hammer drill for boring holes in cinder blocks. As I am just a regular homeowner, the drill probably won't get heavy daily usage, and as such has worked just fine for me. The selector switch lets you turn off the hammer function so I can also use it as a regular drill or screw driver.
I like that it didn't come with obsessive amounts of packaging or even batteries. I already have the batteries I need and hate storing boxes or cases etc.

Milwaukee makes a great product. Many years ago I bought my first one because many of the contractors I knew were using them. They have held up even after being dropped from eight feet onto a hard surface and although not recommended being used as a hammer.

I've owned many drills in the past, but this one is the one. It is taken anything else thrown at it and laughed in face. That includes drilling through metal, concrete, hardwoods. The m18 series is fantastic. Get their hackszall too, it is beast.

I don't always buy tools based on a manufacturers reputation... but when I do, I usually pay a lot more. In this case, it was worth every penny!!! I shelled out the cash for an M18 cordless sawzall, at Christmas time, and decided to add a new drill, after my Craftsman started wimping out. Dayum, fellas! This ole boy is solid! If the first few weeks are any indication, this beast is gonna last a long time!

Like all of Milwaukee's tools, this is a really high-quality drill. This is their smallest 18v hammer drill, and it is not fitted with a side handle. If you want a regular, all-purpose, lightweight cordless drill that you will occasionally use to drill holes for masonry anchors or something, this is a good choice.

I received this item on time and without damage. I recently made the switch from DeWalt cordless to Milwaukee cordless power tools. Milwaukee offers a larger selection of tools related to my field of work, plumbing. I simply got tired of having three differant cordless tool batterys to carry and maintain. I was using Milwaukee, DeWalt and Ridgid cordless tools at work, but now only Milwaukee. Each manufacture has it's good & bad points and tools but I got tired of keepi g up with so many battery packs. This drill definately does the job and in time I hope it holds up to the name, Milwaukee.

My husband has wanted one of these for a while now and he absolutely loves it. We used to buy cheaper Black and Decker tools but they never seem to have a lot of power. My husband used this at work and has wanted one ever since. He has a shed he wants to build so we got this and he is a happy camper. Has the power he wants and has used it for multiple projects already. I have even used it to put in a screw and works fast and easy. Doesn't come with a battery however, that needs to be purchased seperatley or already have one

So glad this product didn't get broken in transit as it was in a box with no padding or extra support. Just came in a box with inches of space, so I can only imagine how sloshed about it must have been! Poorly packed! But good product. Husband is happy with it!
