This Li-Ion battery is a godsend. It's very light and compact and provides remarkable power. The wonderful thing about Li-Ion batteries is you get almost full power until it dies. Recharges fast and doesn't have a "memory" like other batteries so you can charge it up again before it's discharged. This battery also has a test button so you can see how much charge is left.

Note, this battery only fits Milwaukee COMPACT drill/drivers and impact wrenches Milwaukee 2691-22 18-Volt Compact Drill and Impact Wrench Combo Kit. I own the drill/driver for small tasks like driving screws and drilling small holes. I use it 80% of the time. Awesome tool. The other 20% of the time I use the Milwaukee 28volt drill/driver Milwaukee 0724-24 V28 Lithium-Ion 1/2-Inch Cordless Hammer Drill/Driver Kit. It's unbelievable for bigger tasks.

First of all, the new M18 batteries are not compatible with the older 18V version tools. That being said, let's move along. This battery is just fine for working around the house or light construction. It is lighter weight than the M18XC batteries. If you want a work horse battery, step up to the M18XC batteries. By the way, Dan's an idiot. Pay no attention to his reviews. He is an overpriced DeWalt fan boy that is screwing up the ratings on Amazon.

I was worried about compatibility with my old drill, which had batteries labeled "18V", not "M18", and a catalog number of "48-11-1815". They fit just fine, and the drill spins faster, so I'm a happy camper. Helton Tool sold bulk packaged "used but declared to be new" at a 25% discount and they do appear to be unused.

I had one of these batteries plus an extended life version, but with three M18 tools I really needed four batteries so that one could always be charging. This two pack was an excellent price. The charge status check function makes this battery so much better than the comparable Bosch lithium batteries I have. I have three Bosch lithium batteries, but I often do not know which ones are really charged. The charge check feature makes me rate the Milwaukee batteries over the Bosch batteries.

A product I use and need and at a great price. Not much to say....either they work or they don't and in spite of the fact that Milwaukee tools are made in China now, they are still quality; including the batteries.

After finding out the hard way about DEWALT and Amazon's return policy, I am now switching over to Milwaukee products. For any potential buyers of DEWALT products through Amazon, RUN and don't look back. What you read as to Dewalt's return policy is NOT accurate at all. 30 day return ONLY. You DON'T get a 90 day refund from DEWALT or Amazon. Buy Milwaukee, you won't be disappointed. Unfortunately, this isn't the case with Dewalt!

Can't get too excited it is a battery afterall, but it is light and powerful. It holds a charge quite a while. Long enough to finish most handyman type jobs. If you are driving deck screws all day you probably want the larger vrsion. The onboard charge remaining meter is also a nice feature so you don't go into a job with a battery that is only 25% charged.

This smaller battery is perfect for use as a backup for my m18 fuel 1/2" impact. It will last a full day without a problem and it gets a workout. Lug nuts by the hundreds come off then go back on!!!

No problems at all, The lighter weight is nice, and I run the 12v/18v 6-pack battery charger on sites so I often swap out when they're half to 3/4 dead and never have to worry about tools getting "twitchy" when they're down to 10%. I am on my second busy season with these batteries and only looking to buy more because I have more tools and helpers now.
