I've only had the battery a few days, and it's my first 5.0 AH M18 battery. There seemed to be a noticeable difference in torque when I cut a few 2x4's the other day, and the charge indicator on the battery didn't go down even one notch. Milwaukee batteries just keep getting better and better! Even the early XC batteries were satisfactory, but they don't hold a candle to the newer ones.

Was somewhat skeptical of buying this battery pack because the price was almost $60 cheaper from David's tools than from any other sites I priced. Figured it had to be rebuilt or used or something, but to my pleasant surprise it came exactly as described, brand new from Milwaukee! As for the battery pack itself...excellent performance! Lasts longer than my 4.0 packs by at least an hour of runtime. Since I carry an impact wrench in my pickup to make repairs far away from any electricity it's nice to not have to have extra packs in the backseat of my truck.

This the best rated Lith-ion battery on the market with up to 1,800 charges. I used it in my circular saw and ripped through 2x stock like nothing without putting any kind of drain on the battery. I have DeWalt batteries that don't outlast this one. Hand in hand these are the best batteries in their class for DIY and pros. Thank you for selling an excellent product which I will probably buy again in the future.

This battery is the King Kong of lithiums, its large and vwery well put together. It took 30hours to chargewhen new and empty. The battery has a built in buttom that shows how many bars of power remain when touched.
Its totalky awesome to look at and hold.
It Balances the heavy Milwaukee Drill comfortably.
Very easy to handle Very Comfortable.
And Very Well made. Has a three year warranty,
I only have one battery and it seems like it will be the only one i need, with more than twice the power of the basic battery. Offerings.

These are my favorite power tool batteries . I am a huge Makita fan and their batteries have improved immensely but I still feel that these Milwaukee batteries are still better. The electronic protection is great the cells they use are great the physical protection that is built into these packs is the best I have ever seen . I have seen the insides of every major power tool battery pack on the market and these are without a doubt my favorite. The 5.0 amp hour rating is not hype. It will make your tools feel like they are brand-new again and it will give you about twice the run time of the regular XC packs. These are just a few bucks more than the 4.0's and I feel they are so worth it.

I was so happy to be able to restore my Milwaukee 2601-20 drill to better than new operating condition with this battery. The original charger worked with it just fine. The extra weight is not that noticeable and allows the drill to stand on the base of the handle without any chance of tipping over.

This battery is much better than the previous ones..Works for a long time in circular saw and sawsall. Takes longer to charge fully but it also lasts much longer. Now if they could get the price down it would be perfect.

Awesome Battery!! After one day of doing full suspension swaps on 4 trucks, this thing was still on full charge. I was close to buying two of these, but one was good for what I need. Couldn't be more happy with this battery.

As far as I can tell, Milwaukee is only up to 5 amp hour 18V batteries. Other manufacturers have gone higher in terms of capacity. I suspect Milwaukee will up the ante eventually, just to stay competitive. For me (and most buyers, I assume) price is the key since there are many retail sources. I bought through Amazon Marketplace because that's where I found the best price. It was significantly lower than the Home Depot price. It's the same product, so Builders World Wholesale Distribution (through Amazon Marketplace) won the price war in that case. Those dynamics are constantly changing due to competitive pressures, so that may not hold true next week or month, but it's definitely the case now.
