Milwaukee has pulled through again. If..........you can overlook the fact that it is made in Taiwan, you are in for the near-perfect electrician's tool. I am not one for the "all-in-one" tool as it is usually very cheap. That said, I love this thing. First, it has a very generous cutting area that covers almost three # 12 wires. It stips 10 to 18 AWG solid wire, and 12 to 20 AWG stranded wire. The feature that I like the most is the front on the pliers has a "real" needlenose finish to it. You can strip, loop and hook the wire with just this tool. Of course you will still need your "dykes", but this really will eliminate carrying a normal 3 tool set. Whether you are an avid do-it-yourselfer of a professional, you will truly appreciate these and yeah, the price IS a little steep, but I reckon the time you save by this ingenious tool will be worth it in the long run. They are guaranteed for life, however that translates, and they are very comfortable to use all day long. It has two screw cutters, standard 8-32 and 6-32, which are the most common electrical screws, and the 8-32 hole doubles as a loop-making hole also.
The only bad thing is: the plastic tool lock. I do hope they redo that as it is very easy to strip that part.
Overall, they are VERY comfortable, feel nice in your hand and am pleased to have a pair. Bravo Zulu MILWAUKEE!

As with the majority of Milwaukee tools, this is a high quality tool. I purchased mine on Home Depot as my order through Amazon got delayed, lost and then I canceled the order (thanks to Amazon using USPS).
The latch is made of metal, so unlike previous raters of this product, the chances of the latch breaking is small. Also, unlike other raters the plastic covers on the handles did NOT fall off. However, if it did I would just use some silicone or super glue to glue them in place.
The wire cutters does great to cut not just wire, but also many other items such as rope and cloth tape.
If there's only one gripe, it's that this tool costs $25. I know it's a multi-tool, but I'm essentially paying $25 for a glorified pair of needle nose pliers. I bought this to complement my tools and to lighten my tool bag, but I think that $25 is a bit pricey.
Overall a good product and maybe I would purchase this again if it went on sale or the price went down.

Well, I thought I'd treat myself to these multipurpose pliers. They are great, I really like the spring which keeps them open - when the slide lock is in the rear most position. Milwaukee put a lot of thought into these, The construction, machining, finish, etc shows quality throughout - well they should be quality at the cost of them. I'm very pleased, and would buy them again. The wire stripper is precise, beats using your teeth.

Love Milwaukee Tools, own several differant hand tools, power tools and pipe wrenches. I just had the opportunity to use these combo pliers and they are very handy. As a plumber I often connect electrical wires to water heaters, disposals and other equipment. With this tool I am able to minimize the number of tools needed in my electrical tool bag making work easier. They function great, are comfortable and do the job without problems. I received this tool well packaged, on time and undamaged.

I purchased this tool for my son who works as an electrician. This was his Christmas gift from me. I called him shortly after and he said it was the "BEST" tool in his belt. He was very please with it's construction and for it's MANY different uses. He was bragging about it with his co-workers! Trust me, if he likes it, it must be good!

milwaukee makes a good brand of tools, made right in the usa. i own several milwaulkee hand tools and they all have been very durable and reliable, these are no different. they work great as a multi tool to carry in your tool belt. it is nice to have the wire snips as well as the needle nose. most needle nose ends on wire cutters and flimsy and grab as a well as butter fingers, but these are indeed true needle nose end pliers with good grab strength.

Nothing excites me more or gets my ambition back up to "work" than a new tool that makes my life a little bit better! These things are super tough - all in one - easy to operate - precision fit - cuts like butter and just gets the job done perfect! Go Milwaukee - you guys are rocking everything! My M12 line up is off the hook! Great job guys.....

I have used this for a couple months now while working as an electrician's helper in both residental trim and rough in and think its way better then the basic klein wire strippers i was told to get. Saying that though I would recomend you get the small cheap klein wire strippers with the yellow handle if you arent going to use them much or just to do a single project. But if you are going to use them a lot the are amazing and the needle nose are extremly helpful to havbe right thereand I found to be a better looping tool then the hole.

I have gone through several different wire tools similar to this one and there is always something I disliked about each. I found this one and loved it. I have not found anythink I dislike about the tool.
