TEKTON 24340 1/2-Inch Drive Click Torque Wrench, 25-250 ft.-lb.
Sized for cars, trucks, tractors, and other large equipment, the dual-range 25-250 ft.-lb. (33.9-338.9 Nm) TEKTON 1/2-inch Drive Click Torque Wrench lets you confidently tighten fasteners to precise specifications, ensuring parts are properly secured without being damaged.
Calibrated to an accuracy of +/- 4%, the TEKTON 1/2 in. Drive Click Torque Wrench lets you work with confidence, eliminating guessing and the common tendency to overtighten fasteners. Correctly tightening fasteners to a vehicle or equipment manufacturer's torque specifications ensures parts are properly secured without being damaged. Simple and easy to use, this wrench has a reversible ratcheting head that drives fasteners in both directions and measures torque in the clockwise direction. To measure torque, set the desired value on the handle scale (foot pounds or Newton meters) and begin tightening the fastener. When the preset torque value is reached, a reliable mechanical operation inside the handle produces a click you can hear and feel, alerting you to stop applying force. Built for consistent performance and years of dependable service, the mechanical design doesn't need batteries, and the all-steel construction has no plastic parts to break or wear out.
IMPORTANT: This wrench is shipped pre-calibrated and ready to use. To help maintain calibration, store at its lowest setting of 25 ft.-lb./33.9 Nm when not in use. Be sure to read and understand the operator's manual, including all safety information, before first use.
Includes:
- (1) 1/2 in. drive torque wrench
- (1) Storage case
- Operator's manual with torque conversion chart

With such an inexpensive price compared to ones on the "big red truck," I thought it might be off a bit. So I had my "Big red truck" rep. test it for me. He has a little torque wrench tester mounted inside his rolling robbery shack and tested it for free. We tested it at 50, 80, and 110 ft/lbs. It was SPOT on. It clicked exactly where it was supposed to. It produces a nice audible click as well as a jar you'll feel in your palm. Me and him couldn't believe the accuracy and when he found out how much i paid he was thoroughly impressed. Of course if it isn't of his truck, no professionals will accept it. However I proved to him and my co workers it's dead on.
I work at a dealership and accuracy is crucial on wheel torque. It feels great to know such accuracy can be had at such a great price point. I don't need to waste my time on that "Big red truck" when Tekton has my back. And with a Tekton dealer in town as well I can always go swap this one out if I feel I need, or it breaks. Tekton has a great warranty policy and a wonderful line of products.

I needed a torque wrench for a 175 ft/lb hub bearing nut. My existing torque wrench only went to 150 ft/lbs so I shopped around for a larger torque wrench. After reading the reviews here on Amazon, and previous experience with Tekton, I purchased this wrench. This wrench is very solid and has some heft to it. The markings are very easy to read and you just set the torque and lock it with the nut on the bottom of the handle. The length gives you good leverage and the click is loud and clear. The head ratchets so you don't have to remove the socket when tightening nuts or bolts and the ratcheting is reversible but I didn't see if this wrench clicks in reverse. I don't plan on tightening left-handed hardware anytime soon. A nice plastic case keeps the wrench protected and remember to store the wrench with the torque removed. Set the wrench to zero and not all the way loose when storing.

After being not-so-impressed with a major brand's plastic-adorning mess of a torque wrench, I decided to give this one a try. It's simple, well built, comes with a case, and has a level of quality I've seen in torque wrenches that are 4 times the price. For the price, you can't beat it.

I have a selection of high end torque wrenches that I used as a tradesman, but never needed one with a range to 250 foot pounds. I had recently purchased a ProPride 3P trailer hitch, and included was a TEKTON breaker bar and socket. While it was made in Taiwan, it was very good quality. So, needing a wrench to complete the install, the TEKTON 24340 was a logical choice. And, it was a good one! For $60 you could consider this a "throw-away", but it will be around for a very long time. Well made of excellent materials, and has a professional "feel". The plastic storage case is an added bonus. Look around, I assure you that you will be hard pressed to find another torque wrench that compares to this one.

Can't beat this TQ wrench for what they are asking for it. There is a decent audioable click and good "click" feel once the torque has been reached. I've worked with Snap-On TQ wrenchs for the last 6 years and I can tell you that there is only a difference in the asking price of the wrench. Plus the company gives you a lifetime warranty if the product ever fails or if you need it to be recalibrated so that you can just send it in to get it fix or replaced.Would recommend

This wrench was purchased to replace a shorter one that broke. This one is used for torquing lug nuts at 150-160 lbs. It operates very smoothly and with limited human pressure. It doesn't trash my wrists like the previous one. I can change all four wheels (32 nuts) effortlessly. Glad I bought it--worth the cost!

I purchased the Tekton 24340, 24320 & 24330 torque wrenches and all have worked very well considering the price and no hassle, standing behind their products Tekton. The only issue I noticed was the ratchet head selector switch was very rough on the 24330, no big deal. I use these about 3 times a week. The storage case is awesome and built very well, go buy a Snap-On wrench for $500 more and see if you get a case..
I have not broke one part, one piece of hardware. I have torqued my 8-lug pickup wheels, my spark plugs in my Harley, various truck chassis bolts, fox racing shocks on the truck, small intricate bolts with low torque values during truck recovery winch service, etc, etc. Dig?

I needed a torque wrench that could do more than 100lb/ft, but don't need it so often that it's worth spending a lot of money. Given the low price of this tool I wasn't expecting much. I was very pleasantly surprised! This is a hefty tool and well constructed. I call it a bargain, a great buy for a shadetree mechanic. I'll likely get a lower-torque model too, to replace my aging Craftsman (which was both a lot more expensive and a lot worse quality).

I couldn't be happier with it for the money. It is all this driveway mechanic needs. I had a cheap one once that lasted one use. That was from HF. This is not like that, I can assure you. The click is loud and you can feel it. So far only used in the 80-88 lb range. I'll be using in on my truck soon and that will be 165 lbs. So do yourself a favor and get one that goes to 250 lbs like this one. Even if you only need up to 150, they are more accurate in the middle of their range and you won't be pushing a tool to it's limit.

I needed a wrench with this range for a very specific application, tightening the suspension bolts on a Jeep Wrangler that was being lifted. This did the job for a reasonable price. Very easy to set and a distinct click when you're at the correct torque.
I read earlier reviews on the packaging of this wrench being cheesy. The version I got came in a nice red plastic case.
