Pruners come & pruners go.
Every gardener has probably gone through more pruners than they can remember.
Some break before their time.
Some are so bad you wish they would break & give you an excuse to get a different pair.
The Ultra Snip 6.7 inch may very well be the last set of pruners I will ever have to buy,
unless someone takes them.
This is the best pair of pruners I have ever had in my hands & my hands are size XXL.
I have had many big name pruners that I couldnt wait to get rid of.
Big name brands are not always great products.
I dont know anything about the Ultra Snip maker.
Who they are, where they are, etc & I dont care; cause it makes no difference to the product.
I use these many times every day.
They are the most comfortable pair I have ever used & there were many pairs before them.
I'm guessing it has to do with the grip ending next to the pivot point, unlike most where the pivot is an inch or more beyond your hand.
The grip itself is very comfortable; but I think the leverage with the pivot set deeper in your hand makes them such good smooth cutters.
My wife likes a pair of coronas I had, because they strip rose thorns.
I hated that pair of pruners; because they were very hard & uncomfortable to use.
So theres something for everyone.
She doesnt use the coronas most of the day every day, but I do use the Ultra Snips that way.
If your not happy with the pruners you've had or are using now,
I suggest you try a pair of the Ultra Snips.
Like me you just might find the last pair you'll ever buy,
unless of course someone takes them.

I received this product for free evaluation. Before I delve into the fit of the pruners, I have to say the handles have a nice slightly rubbery grip which makes the pruners easy to hold onto and there's a nice sound of the blades very precisely sliding past each other. The lock is an easy-to-use and yet durable design. Also the blades are made of stainless steel which makes maintenance easier.
I wear a childs size XL glove because while my hands are "small". I have short hands with short fingers but my hand is wide as a women's medium. In Nitrile gloves I wear a women's small because they stretch to shape. So for my especially short hands I find these pruners open too wide to be comfortable. My husband is going to be thrilled to have pruners around that aren't doll-sized though.
Judge the size for yourself in the photos against a ruler. The Ultra Snips have gray handles an my doll-sized pruners from a competitor have green handles.

Well this isn't at all what I was expecting from a pair of Pruning Shears. These Shears offer 2" stainless steel sharp blades and operate more like tough scissors for your garden than any pruning shears I've owned. I'm really impressed with them. While they don't look or cut exactly like the classic pruning shears I'm use to, I've found many situation in the last almost two weeks of gardening to use these. I trimmed my knock-out rose bushes and hedges with them. They are good for branches up to about 3/4" thick, anything over that and they aren't very effective. The handles have a non-slip rubbery grip that makes these pruners easy to hold onto, they fit my hands very well. They feature a hard plastic locking mechanism that slides up and down past a metal loop to hold them closed or open them for movement. The plastic piece is hard enough that it's not flimsy like some I have had in the past and looks like it will last a long time if taken care of. What I like the most about them is I can use them for more than just pruning. When I was planting I found myself using them as garden scissors. The blades are very sharp and they tackled, zip ties, I cut open some of the plastic cup containers that my plants came from the store in as well as snipping some of the plastic straps on boxes. I also used them to open one of my daughter's toys that came in that annoying plastic clamshell packaging that is impossible to get into. I took one of the other reviewers recommendations and used an eye glass case for a holster. I also oiled the blades with a little machine oil after a few uses. The size of these are greats for women's hands.
They come with a 100% customer satisfaction guarantee so you can't go wrong trying these out.
Overall, I give these 5+ Stars they do what the seller states they will do plus so much more than your average pruning shear. I really like them.

We have already been using these pruning shears today and they are really working fabulously. They are just the right size for my hands to use with ease and comfort. They are quite sharp and have cut my shrubbery perfectly. I am most pleased with them and have plans for a lot more pruning tomorrow. I was very happy to receive these pruning shears for my review at no cost. They are great.

I was going to wait a couple of months to assess durability before I posted a review on this, but I liked the first shear that I got so much that after a couple of weeks, I bought a second one!
I bought this because I was tired of deadheading flowers by decapitating it with my fingers (and sometimes inadvertently damaging the stem or other plant parts)---after using it outside, I bought a 2nd one for inside for those house plants that have brown parts or whatever that you want to trim off, or for minor pruning of things like ficus trees.
I did a fair amount of research before buying---I wanted something compact, something that had a blade-close mechanism that was NOT that irritating little loop in the back, and I needed something with good quality sharp stainless steel blades (for this unit, it looks good, but the jury on long-term durability is still out----but if I have issues with the blades rusting even when protected, or doing anything else bad, I'll update this review).
As of now, about a month or so after purchase, I'm impressed--the little clipper is nicely balanced, the blades seem sharp, the open/close mechanism is easy to use, and the rubber-coated hand grips make it feel stable in your hand. It would be nice if there were a slightly larger version (longer snips, slightly bigger hand grip) for increased accessibility to interior plant parts and for increased comfort, but I'm still pretty happy with the current version. Will update the review if I run into any negatives over the coming months...

I needed something to replace my old Corona fine point shears, so I thought I would give these a try. I must say that I am impressed, the blades are sharp and the cutting action is clean, much better than my old Coronas. This is a really good "tweener" pair, heavier than my delicate fine point shear, but smaller and easier to work than a full sized hand pruner. perfect for cutting roses, herbs and anything up to about 1/8 inch in diameter. I would think that they would cut up to 1/4 inch as well, but I did not want to stress them.
The handles are comfortable, if a bit small if you have large hands like I do, but I was using them for about an hour recently and had no hand fatigue.
Overall a very nice addition to my garden tool bag.

These looked like a nice set of shears, so I ordered them. I find them to have a great grip and to cut well.
These shears are really well designed, with lots of great features:
- The grip has full-length rubberized covers - I can hold them securely from any angle, and I think they will work for smaller as well as larger hands.
- The blades are very sharp, and the action is smooth. These are spring loaded to open, and the spring is just right - not too stiff and yet quite positive.
- The lock is a simple slider that is easy to use even with one hand.
- You can separate the parts to sharpen the blades, but it is a bit of a pain to get back together. This is acceptable because I will probably only sharpen them every couple of years.
- While cutting, I found these did a good job. The blades are straight rather than curved, and the maximum branch thickness I would recommend is about 3/4 inch thick. Beyond that you will be hacking away instead of getting a good initial cut. These are great for light branches, roses, and such.
The only thing I can recommend is that they might consider providing a leather sheath. There is nothing sharp here when folded, but it would make for a nicer experience if I could carry it on my belt.
Summary: A great little set of shears for light branch work. Highly recommended.
Please note that I received this product free of charge so I could review it.

I'm a dyed in the wool Felco man because I can go from pruning roses to pruning apple trees with the same pruner. But this year with more time to spend, I thought It'd be good to find a smaller, more precise pruner for dead heading iris and lilies and so forth. These snips are the perfect choice.
They are small and ultra sharp and easy on the hand. With the small, sharp tips, you can be very precise like on floribunda roses so you don't disturb new buds. The only draw back I've found, because they are so pointed and sharp, is not having a sheath or holster included. Don't even think about putting them in your pocket. Put 2 holes in my shorts already. I looked around and found my trusty Felco holster. It's heavy leather and provides excellent protection from stabbing myself. With a holster you don't loose sight of them either. Altogether these pruners seem the ideal choice for pruning flowers and small branches or even Bonsai. It's a small thing to get excited about, but I love these pruners.

Garden Shears from Gardenite are as described on the product description page. I like the size of these smaller pruners. These are perfect for deadheading and trimming up small gardening jobs. These are also great for snipping of my summer vegetables from the vines, so as not to tear the tender stalks. I like the sliding lock in the middle of the pruners. It is out of the way and conveniently located and colored too. The blades came pre-lubricated too. The handles on these are made of some type of hard rubber. They have just the right amount of spring in them to allow for a pretty wide cut. These are wonderful for my adult lady hands and perfect for the things I do in the garden and around my potted plants. I received these for free in exchange for my review.
