Quality stapler! I use it for securing leather upholstery into wooden furniture, which can be a tough job for staple guns. I use the stanley heavy duty staplesStanley TRA704T 1/4-Inch Heavy Duty Staples, Pack of 1000 It does everything you want a stapler to do:

-No jams in the stapler (could be the staples too, I recommend the above ones which makes a well matched pair)
-A little tricky to reload the first time, but after you get some practice, it becomes very easy
-Sturdy, this stapler is built to last!
-Cheap!

I would recommend using gloves if you are using it alot to protect your hands. If you are using it tons, you way want to consider something self powered.

5 stars, Great for every household and crafts!

After reading some of the reviews, I almost didn't buy it but I did anyway and it works great for me. Not one miss-fire so far. You just hold it flush to the surface to be stapled and squeeze it. I did my shade that was detaching from the roll. Looks so professional and painless since, in the past, I used a regular stapler opened up to do this job. I'd have to punch the stapler to get each staple into the shade which was very hard on the hands.
I got the "Arrows 506 T50 Staples". (3/8 inch) I'm understanding that using the correct staple size for the job is important since, with a staple gun, the staple doesn't fold over as with a regular staple. It goes straight in and stays straight so the surface you are stapling into has to be at least as deep as the staple length is.

First off the other reviewer shouldn't have given this product one star. The staple gun is fine, and you reload the staples via a small lever on the back (visible in the photographs of the item) that you pull down. It's spring loaded, so you have to depress it and then slide it back to reveal the chamber for staples. It shouldn't be rocket science, and indeed it isn't. Ironically I found the staple reloading mechanism to be very easy to use compared to other (albeit older staplers) I've used over the years. The stapler is completely chromed and has a nice weight (doesn't feel cheap and light but doesn't fatigue you either). The handle depresses with some force, but frankly from what I've heard of the easy to depress complex staplers simplicity is best, making a complex lever to add force doesn't work great for these and if you want something easy to use go with an electronic stapler. The stapler holds three sizes of staples which is nice, I've used others where you have just one staple size choice, but being able to use this same stapler and put any of the three size in I want is handy. The staples easily penetrate through anything I've had to use it on. It says it's a light duty staple gun, but it seems to be built for the long haul. I would recommend this affordable staple gun to anyone looking to do some simple projects with it. Don't be deterred from our friend here who has difficulty depressing a small obviously located lever.

As a staple gun, this is a well designed and constructed piece of equipment. As a cable tacker, the ability to use curved staples is great for some wires such as speaker wire or antenna/cable. However, I'm not happy with it for use with Ethernet cable. The force of the stapler crimps the cable even with the curved staples and the "Hi/Lo power adjustment" set to low. Also, I'm happy to see the power adjustment not listed as a feature here on Amazon, since it doesn't do anything that I can tell.

So if you need a cable tacker for sturdy cables that can withstand crimping and are within the dimensions of the staples available for this stapler, it's not a bad buy. If you are concerned about cable crimping, look elsewhere.

I bought this staple gun last week to reupholster a dining room chair and I couldn't have been more pleased with it. It shoots staples straight into antique oak with no problems or jams. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a quality staple gun.

This staple gun is called heavy duty for a reason. This thing is built to withstand a tornado or possibly the apocalypse.

As a result, the staple gun is fairly heavy compared to light duty models. Also, if you have small hands you may have trouble stapling because the handle is fair distance apart from the main part of the staple gun. It also takes some muscle to activate the staples.

I would highly recommend this staple gun for creative geniuses and those that spend a considerable amount of time doing projects and building various things.

For those just need in a simple staple gun or with tiny hands, I would recommend stepping down to the light duty model.

Solid product, works just like I'd expect it too. Used to felt my entire garage roof before I put the metal sheeting on. Worked fantastic, not a single mis-fire/dud.. 5/5 I like Stanley products, always had good luck with them.

Any DIYer needs one of these. I decorate for the holidays and am currently decorating my patio with lights. I used to always have to borrow from a friend and decided to get my own. Glad I did. So many uses and very affordable. Great deal. Great gadget!
Thank you xoxo

This stapler makes me look like I might actually know what I'm doing. I'm very pleased with the performance of this stapler so far. It has had no misfires and has driven each staple in to its maximum depth in pine. I've only used 3/8" staples so far and expect that Is as big as I will have a need for. It works as well as other staplers I either own or have owned and this one is far cheaper than any of the others. Highly recommended for household use.

Great stapler. We use it lightly for putting up targets at the range. However, I've got a couple other Stanley staplers that have stood the test of time and abuse. Definitely a quality piece from Stanley.

After all, my wife and I have gone through close to a dozen hand-held pruning saws during the 20+ years we've lived on our property. Those pruning saws always cut well when new but seem to get dull very quickly. With their close set, needle-like teeth they're also difficult to sharpen - and I've sharpened regular saws using saw sets and files. Eac...
