Accusharp Sharp-N-Easy AS334

By Ken E. Labar
Overview:
Great size and speed for field use.
Details:
This little sharpener does its job. I bought this locally, but love it so much it is worth a review here.
I nicked my blade and needed a sharpener quick. The local kitchen store had very expensive electric sharpeners, and then the Sharp-n-Easy. After a few pulls through the coarse side the nick was removed, even on my blade with 154 steel. The fine side did a nice job of finishing the edge to an acceptable sharpness for most jobs (don't expect a razor edge; it will cut hair, but it pulls a bit)
Next we tried it on a buddy's Leatherman which had not been sharpened since the factory. After 20 strokes, the blade was restored to a very usable edge.
Bottom line:
The Sharp-n-Easy does not quite match the performance of my Spyderco sharpmaker, but the size and quality make it a must for every toolbox, tackle box, and glove box.

Finally I found a great pull through knife sharpener that works and leaves a SMOOTH sharp edge and doesn't wreck the blade like the carbide pull through's do. It uses course and fine ceramic rods that don't dig into the blade like the carbides do. Highly recommended

This little thing works! WHAT A DIFFERENCE. I have used it on everything from dollar-store knives to expensive brand-name knives and it noticeably and easily sharpens them ALL. Easy to use, takes two seconds and makes my life so much easier when chopping, cutting or peeling everything! It's also saved me tons on not having to go out and buy new knives. So worth the money!

I really enjoy this item it's really great for my on the go sharpening needs. my pocketknife was in great need of some sharpening and much to my surprise it sharpens it to the point that my knife cut my thumb without effort. clean cut. I recommend this to any knife/sword enthusiasts, as well as people who needs to sharpen their knife. works well on my pocket knives, kitchen knives, and swords.

Good item for sprucing up an edge on a tackle box knife or a kitchen carving/paring knife.
Inexpensive and a decent little product.
I recommend this item.

I actually bought two of these. One for me and one for my mom.
I like to keep my kitchen knives sharp, really sharp. My wife loves the fact that I'm so particular about keeping a sharp edge on all of our knives. The thing is, I don't like using my multi-staged, electric sharpener on my knives more than two or three times a year. The electric sharpener takes too much metal off the blade. So, for a quick tune-up every five or six uses, I use the Accusharp two step. A couple of back-to-front pulls through the course stones followed by a couple of front-to-back pulls across the fine stones and your blade is razor sharp. It could not be easier to use.
This replaced and old hand-held V-stone sharpener that I had for 15 years. I like the Accusharp even better. It's padded grips and better quality stones make it the best I've ever used.

So functional, hope it lasts forever.
I'm terrible at sharpening knives .. this takes the skill out of the process.
Now I need a pair of those steel mesh gloves so maybe I won't cut off a finger.
I have it hanging from a kitchen cabinet round knob. Right in front of my nose where I would normally be using a knife.

I bought this to sharpen up our camp ax and a few knifes. It is so easy to use and works wonderfully. I also like how it has a key chain attached to it, which makes it very easy to bring along. I would definitely recommend this- it works and it was a great price!

Gets all your knifes instantly sharper in about 5 easy strokes, works well on smaller and larger knifes.
Haven't tried on a very dull knife yet but on ones with a blade already somewhat there does a great job of touching it up, and it's about as easy as possible.

This little bad boy will be great for helping me to take care of my knife collection...I sharpened 4 of my Karambits and they all had a noticeable difference in sharpness after I was done. It also comes with a little booklet attached so you know how to use it. The black sidings are made of rubber which allows good grip while you sharpen, and the feet let you put it on a flat surface as well.
