I like keeping my crafts organized so when I saw this organizer on a Gold Deal special I could not resist. Overall I am satisfied with it, even though it has several things that could have been better.
I am attaching a photo collage of 4 photos which I will be referencing in this review.
The organizer arrived with no protective packaging, no instructions, and no mounting hardware.
I did not see any dividers in the package. Only when I was taking photos for this review did I notice that the back of the organizer has plastic dividers molded in the back, so if you want dividers you can cut them off. Since the organizer drawers fall out when you tilt the organizer forward you need to remove the dividers before you fill the compartments with stuff. See photo #3 to see the photo of the back of the organizer. Note that the number of the dividers are much smaller than the number of compartments.
As I mentioned earlier the organizer came without any mounting hardware. The spacing between mounting holes is 18 inches, so you cannot place both holes into studs spaced 16 inches apart. Photo #4 shows the hardware I purchased separately to mount the organizer on hollow walls. #8-10x1" bolts with anchors worked well.
There is a total of 12 larger compartments and 32 smaller compartments. Photo #1 shows organizers of each of size opened with a pen inside each for relative size. Photo #2 shows the front of the organizer.
The large compartments are 4.5" wide, 5.5" long and 2" deep. The small compartments are 2" wide, 5.5" long, and 1.5" deep.
The compartments can be taken out fairly easily which I find that handy when I need to use the content. I wish the compartments were a little longer (6" would have been perfect). I already filled up all the larger compartments and but not all the small compartments. It would be nice if there were different versions of this organizer where people could select the exact configuration they wanted (more large compartments, more small compartments, and so forth) as I suspect people's needs vary.
I LIKED:
1. Organizer is helpful to keep small items orderly
2. Wall mounting saves space, I placed behind the door in a wasted space otherwise
3. Each bin can be easily taken out and put back
I DID NOT LIKE:
1. No mounting hardware, no template for making holes in the wall
2. No instructions - I noticed dividers just by chance because I was writing this review and taking photos
3. Would have preferred slightly longer compartments (6 inches rather than 5.5 inches)
Overall, I am pleased and would buy this organizer again if I had to do it over again.

I ordered the Akro-Mils 10164 and 10144 to use for storage for my jewelry making accessories (i.e. beads, charms, findings, etc.). It's PERFECT! The drawers are pretty small, so perfect for beads. The 10144 model that had 12 of the larger drawers are great for storing ribbon and such, as well. I used a couple of the drawer dividers that come included (attached to the back of the unit, which you just cut/snap off). There aren't enough of them included to be used in all of the drawers, but I think cardboard or posterboard would probably work just as well. The only negative I have is that the two plastic bars that go across the back were slightly bent in, which makes the middle drawers all pop out slightly rather than closing all the way. But, they are still secure enough to not fall out, so I'm not worried about it. Overall, this is great for my jewelry making needs!

Wifey uses this storage for her beads and other small jewelry items. It is too bad that this does not come in an 88-drawer size, doublewide. Already need a second one. If you are buying one save on shipping and buy two, you will find the room for all your small pieces.
I read several complaints about the opaque, semi-translucent drawers that caused me to be a bit skeptical.
Do Not Let Other Reviews Detract You From This Purchase. The drawers easily permit you to see into them to know what is in the drawer. If you cannot see the items you may be going blind and should see an Ophthalmologist.

I bought two and transferred all of my screws, nails, bolts, and other hardware into the cabinets. They come with plastic cut-outs to divide many of the drawers into two compartments. There is not much backing on the cabinet, so I glued on some plastic (old shower curtain) to the back to further isolate the hardware from the moist salt air that we have on the coast. The cabinets are sturdy, the drawers slide easily, the stops on the drawers work well, and yet it is easy to remove the drawers when needed.

This is a fantastic organizer for the price. You get lots of compartments, though they are small (the entire thing is only 2 feet wide, so each small compartment is roughly 2 inches wide, and the larger ones are twice that). We are using it to store nails and other miscellaneous items from the garage. It's not the sturdiest thing I've seen, particularly when you remove the plastic dividers that are included on the back of the unit, but for the price it does exactly what I need. I suspect that once it's mounted to a wall it will work just fine without any fear of tipping over.
The plastic compartments open easily and stop if you pull too far - you have to lift the compartment to actually remove it from the cabinet. My only complaint would be that there are a limited number of dividers (for both the small and large compartments) and I wish they had included about twice as many.
Overall this is an excellent product for the amount of storage you actually get. I'm actually ordering another one because we managed to fill this one up already!

I purchased two of these for my 5 year old sons playroom. His Lego storage box just wasn't cutting it anymore, and the sets of today have so many random little pieces that if you even want to attempt to organize and separate them, you'll need this type of storage container. The other cabinet I got is all the larger drawers, which is great for separating longer pieces by color. This container with the smaller drawers up top is perfect for the tiny little pieces that have a way of getting everywhere and ending up lost.
Overall, I absolutely recommend these...for Lego's, for garage tools, for crafts...whatever you want. The drawers are a sturdy plastic and slide in and out smoothly. You can stack the cabinets on top of each other and have everything you need all in one place. Very happy with this purchase.

Fantastic for organizing Lego pieces that aren't bricks! The black dividers help, but I just wish more came with it. I ended up making my own out of the stuff you can find in the craft section at Walmart. (I forget the name, but it's something like loop something mat lol sorry). They worked great as dividers!

I bought this drawer set to use on the shelf above my desk in my apartment. My room has a built in desk but no drawers, so I always found all my office supplies, pens, and random items strewn all over the surface of my desk and shelves, leaving me completely unorganized, ruining my productivity.
This 44-Drawer set gets the job done. I have all my office supplies organized in each of these drawers, and I still have plenty of drawers to use. Paired with a label maker, this makes the perfect organizer for a home office or workshop. I'm going to buy another one soon to organize all my hardware in my garage. Great way to get your life a bit more together.

Akro Mils 10744 44-Drawer Hardware and Craft Cabinet, Red and Gray
I have been very happy with my Akro Mils 44-Drawer Cabinet. I have been using it for since January 2016 to hold and organize all areas of baking items. I have my icing tips organized in shape and sizes in the small drawers, and my fondant tools in the larger drawers and lots of other baking and decorating tools are stored in the cabinet. I store so many items in there it has made it really nice to not have to make countless trips back and forth from the pantry to get something I may have forgotten or need. I just pick up the cabinet/bin and bring it with me into the kitchen and it saves me so much time and energy, especially when I am doing a large cake or multiple things at once. Sometimes I’ll be make a cake, cookies, and cupcakes at the same time for the same birthday or holiday. That’s a lot of trips back and forth and this saves me.
I have owned different cabinet/bins that are similar to this. What I really like is the what I call soft plastic drawers. Some of the other cabinets have the hard rigid plastic drawers which have broken on me in the past when I have dropped them on the floor. The drawers also can be divided, so you can get even more organization.
So far I have not had any complaints or problems with cracking, breaking, or bending. I am very happy this cabinet is working out.

I really like this cabinet for basements and inside closets. It is not the most beautiful thing in the world but it will solve your storage and organization issues for small and medium parts. I am sharing pictures of my installation. Note it does not come with the screw to wall mount it, but a quick stop at Home Depot or any screw at home will do the job, the cabinet is very light. The drawers will not fall off easily if you pull them all the way towards you, you really need to pull and then push up for them to release. Overall, very satisfied with the product. Finishing could be better, but again this is not meant to be decorative anyways.
