These were replacements for batteries I purchased 3 years ago that would no longer hold a charge. I will probably buy two more as soon as I can justify the huge price because two others I have are not charging up as well as they used to. I need 4 batteries to be able to complete cutting my whole front and back yards with my B&D weeder -- or else I have to do the yards 2 days apart while the batteries charge. Sort of stuck between a rock and a hard place. But still much better than using that darn cord weeder where the cutter cable jammed every five minutes. Never a cord jam with my B&D weeder. Only dead batteries. (Sigh)

This was a replacement 18V NiCad battery for one of my Black & Decker power tools. The HPB18-OPE was an upgrade to the HPB18 NiCad battery. However the OPE version states it runs a charge up to 50% longer. It does hold a charge longer. Plus I paid less for the OPE 18V NiCad battery compared to the standard 18V NiCad battery. Bottom line. I got more for less. As long as my older cordless power tools work, I will continue to buy more of these 18V NiCad batteries from this seller to run them.

A great replacement for the original battery. This is the second or third one I have purchased as they get heavy use and lots of recharging. This is and exact fit for the original battery and fits the tools as well as the charger. The charger recognizes the condition of the battery charge and does not seem to take long to get the battery back up to full power. A great battery for a great set of tools. Does the job. First two did not get used enough to keep them charged, so had to get another when we wanted to use the weed whipper again. Not a super powerful weed whipper, but it's okay for the price.

Here again....you get all this battery operated tools and the Manufacture
decides to change the Voltage. You need to order 2, just incase you can't
find them in the stores. The tools are fine, the batteries you need 2 or more.

I was able to get two of these on a special deal which allowed me to keep my B&D drill a bit longer. Sure 18V is not the greatest but it does a decent job. I have a mini circular saw as well that takes these packs so instead of junking them for the newest offerings I just bought more batteries. They only last a couple of years of regular use but it works and until the prices of the higher tech units comes down some more I'll stick with these. Sort of big, bulky units for sure.

Our others were so old needed to get a new one as use it in our blowers and weed trimmer and it is new and stron and charge lasts better than older ones, but old ones still work and have been for at least 4 years!

The Black & decker 18-volt battery is one of those items needed every few years. After a couple years the batteries seem to reach the end of their life but these batteries seem to pick right back up and work for a few more. They fit both weed eaters and the blowers and bush trimers well with only occasionally needing a little extra encouragement to either lock it in place or get it unlocked. I would certainly recommend this to others needing a newer battery for their products.

Finally got to use this new battery the other day and it does work twice as long as the original battery that came with the weedeater. I was able to trim the whole way around my house and still had some power left over. Formally I had to use 1 battery to do half around the house and then get the other battery to do the other half.

I use these batteries for my edger and it is very easy to use versus the gas tools. It charges fairly quickly. Good for small projects. The downsize is that it doesn't hold a charge very long so if you have a lot of work, may need to have another battery on hand. I keep two going at all times.
