Very good product. Works exactly as expected. I have a convection oven in my restaurant that that 4 screws holding on the back metal plate which you needed to remove to get access to the blower fan in order to clean it. At first I tried with regular phillips driver, they started getting stripped. I guess from the heat and grease, the screws were seized, I tried banging them out, no luck. I figured I'd try this.
The first one came out with 1 shot. I was amazed. The next 2 came out the same, right away. The last one, I drilled the hole, but then the extractor couldn't get secure enough grip to extract the screw. I simply moved the next size up extractor and that last screw came out as well. Very good product, highly recommend for stripped screws. Some pointers that I learned:
Use a corded drill over a cordless drill to get enough torque to get the screws out, start slow, let the extractor do the work, don't try and overpower it, you'll make it worse.
When drilling the hole in the screw, you might want to use some lubricant (cutting fluid or even 3 in 1) as the screws got very hot very quickly and even though the extractor bits are hard, you can damage them if they overheat.

I have been a home owner for most of my adult life, with ownership comes maintenance. I have also remodeled several of our homes during that time as well. So why haven't I added the screw remover to my tool box???
Striped screws can ruin any project, making it a frustrating mess. I saw this set and noticed that it lists its hardness. Most things sold in a hardware store never list this, which means they are using cheap metal. These are made with extremely hard metal, making it better than most screws sold now. This feature and the price, made my decision.
After just two days I had my new set and was ready to try them out. I went out to the shop and purposefully stripped a screw into some wood. I read the directions, which were simple and straight forward. They state that you need a metal drill bit that is smaller than the screw. Drill between 75% and 100% of the way into the screw. You need to stay in the center of the bit as you drill down and to increase the speed as you go. After selecting the right size, place the extractor in the hole of the screw. Set your drill on reverse action. You will feel the screw begin to back out of the wood. The set performed great!
This is a must have in any homeowners tool box. I am really glad I FINALLY got one.
I received this product free or at a discount for testing purposes and my honest, unbiased review. My opinions are my own and are not influenced in any way. As you can tell I fully tested this product to give you as much information on this it so that you can make an informed choice.

This is an awesome product. I used it to remove a bolt missing a head. I was really skeptical since it was a high grade steel bolt and it was already buried in a motorcycle frame. At first this looked gloom since I couldn't use the boring head to drill, since there wasn't anything left to drill. I had to use a small drill bit to start a point, then continue with the boring head. At that point I flipped it to the extractor head and BOOM, done.
Make sure that you have a good hole started before using the extractor end and everything will go well!

These saved me! Had to take our bed frame apart before our move. The bed frame was assembled by a crew on delivery, and I was so frustrated and annoyed when I noticed, right before our move, that three of the hex screws were stripped and I wouldn't be able to remove them. These took them straight out (once I figured out how to use them - I only used the thickest screw-looking part).

I am pleasantly surprised by how well this works. I think it has magic powers!
This is one of those products you don't need, until you need it. I do a lot of carpentry products, and stripped screws are the absolute worst time-wasters, causing me to say a lot of words I don't like saying.
I am currently not working on any carpentry projects, but I was so excited when I learned this product existed, I just had to know if it worked. So when I received this screw remover set in the mail, I went straight to my garage and drilled the crap out of a screw until it was no longer recognizable as a screw. I pulverized it deep into a 2x4 scrap. I kinda laughed a little and thought, "there's absolutely no way whatsoever this screw will come out of this wood. It's impossible." I put one of the handy damaged screw removers into my drill, followed the very simple directions (reverse the drill first with the small end of the bit, then flip it over and do the same with the larger end). Within seconds the screw was completely out. I was dumbfounded.
I don't know how or why it works, but it does. Trust me. I am so glad to have this in my toolbox.
I was very lucky to receive this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.

Can I just say Thank You? Thank you for inventing something to help me get my stripped screws out!
This pack comes with 4 different sizes. This is really nice because screws come in all different sizes and sometimes a larger one works better and sometimes a smaller one works better. This also helps with the extremeness of the stripping, if you know what I mean.
Each remover has two heads. One is more of a drill look. The other end is more of a grabber look. Again, depending on the strip, one may be better. The drill looking head seems to work better with "mostly stripped" whereas the grabber one works better with completely stripped.
Remember to set your screw driver to the slowest setting and really take your time. Speed up only when you feel a good grab.
My only complaint is the packaging. The little box is great. But it comes in that super stiff sealed plastic thing where you need a knife, scissors, chainsaw and a PhD to get in there.

I have a lot of tools for keeping our home in order, but NOTHING is worse than having a stripped screw in something that you can't get out! THIS set amazed me though because it really works! You attach the bits to your drill (depending on which type you need) and I swear it DOES THE JOB! I can't stress to you how NICE it is to FINALLY be able to remove the screws I have in furniture and toys and all sorts of things that have been stuck permanently because I hastily tried to remove it and I ended up stripping the screw! SO aggravating! But not anymore! ANYone that uses screw drivers a lot should have this set! Saves a TON of time! Now I did receive this set in exchange for my honest opinion and review but I am SO happy to say it was WELL WORTH my time!!

I ordered this because it seem we are alway getting frustrated with a stripped screw! I've seen products like this on TV on was really hoping this set would work the way it claims. I'm happy to report that the set works perfectly! My hubby was thrilled that something that used to take a long time to fix can now be done in a snap! I did receive this set at a discount in exchange for an honest review. Overall we are so pleased with out damaged screw remover and can't say enough about it! Thank you for an awesome product!

used this set the same day I got them and it worked wonders.
I had some stripped out philips head screws that I was needing to take out to replace a section of my gutter. And evidently when the contractor put in the hangars he figured that they wouldn't be going anywhere for some time to come so we went all out and almost bored the grip off them. So needless to say when I needed to replace a bent section from a debris accident I wasn't able to.
I popped in the right size that I needed for the screw. It was easy to bore it out because there was already a place for the bit to grip. So I flipped the bit and placed it on the extraction side and zipped it right out! Easy as pie. And although it is a couple steps to get the screw out it sure beats having to tear up by gutters just to get the screw out.
It works wonderful and it has already paid for itself in time and effort.
I got this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my unbiased and honest review after real world use and testing.

Ordered this set at a discount rate in exchange for a fair and honest review. Also convenient that I had a couple stripped out screws on some X-ray equipment where I work. These bad boys are tonight. I was able to remove the screws quickly and the bits didn't seem to take any damage in the process. I'm ecstatic to have this in my tool box.
