Too bad Home Depot doesn't sell DeWalt bits anymore. What a stupid mistake. I'm sick of wasting my time with those junk Vermont American and other cheap bits that the local hardware stores sell. Maybe they get higher margins. I now buy online. I got this set from DeWalt. In comparison, the last VA set I got at Home Depot, the 3/8 bit completely broke apart drilling one measley hole into stucco! I have another old bit that has drilled 100s of holes into the same stucco with no significant wear. They don't make them like they used to with the exception of the DeWalt ones here. I've used these bits in concrete and they work GREAT. They have some weird-angled point that really works. Costs 2X, but these are well worth it. Comes with a, not great, but usable pouch.

I dont usually write a review but I feel compelled every now and then when a product is garbage or outstanding. I have this set for about 3 months and just started using the second 1/4" bit. Now that may seem like a short amount of time but I am a Audio/Video Tech in NYC. Which means a bunch of anchors in concrete or bricks. On the same 1/4" bit Ive hammered through tile in a spa and mounted a sat dish on a roof, and even though the end of the bit is near gone it still eats through cement. In all if you need a simple hammer bit set for your cordless you cant go wrong with this one

These bits are just what I needed. I used them with my 20v cordless drill (regular, not hammer) to drill a few holes in my garage walls and exterior foundation walls. The whole job was done in minutes and the couple bits I used still look fine.
In a later project, I needed to drill one small hole in a hollow metal pole. Unfortunately, I don't have metal bits, but I did have this set. Not sure how well it would work, I tried using the smallest bit and after a small amount of time and pressure, I was through! Again, I checked the bit and it still looks fine for more use.

These are great drill bits for drilling through concrete. I used them with my DeWalt hammer drill and it drilled through the brick wall in my garage like butter!

Great bits, I've used them to drill through ceramic tile, clay pots, cinder block, brick, and cement. Nothing has slowed em down yet. However, I do not use them in a commercial capacity, just a very handy homeowner/carpenter.

I purchased this bit set to drill holes through my brick house to run some antenna/satellite/network wires into the house. I was able to drill through the mortar joints using my cheap Craftsman 19 volt drill, no hammer action needed. I was through in maybe 30 seconds using the lower speed setting. For the largest hole, I first used one of the smaller bits for a pilot, then I used the 1/2 inch bit, but I really don't think I even needed a pilot hole.
My only complaint is that the bits were *barely* long enough to get all the way through, but they just made it. Before drilling, I went to a corner of my house where I could evaluate the depth of the bricks and held the bit and drill up to confirm it would be just long enough. I may have purchased a longer set if I knew the length of the bits.
I have not tried drilling directly into the bricks themselves or into concrete, however, the fact I was able to use these bits for their intended purpose without needing to buy, rent, or borrow a hammer drill is definitely worth 5 starts in my book.

I volunteer with the US Forest Service and have been renovating some cinderblock restroom/shower buildings. Installing grab bars, light fixtures, etc. and these masonry bits have done the job. They have held their edge as I have used them over and over. Not sure why previous reviewer said they were bad. Carrying case is convenient and it gives you two 1/4" bits that I use for wall anchor holes. I would purchase them again and recommend them.

I bought these drill bits along with a low cost Neiko 10506A hammer drill to drill holes in my concrete garage floor to mount a vertical air compressor. With the hammer drill, the 3/8" bit made quick work of the concrete - it really felt like I was drilling into soft wood. The last hole felt as easy as the first, so no rapid wear of the bit happened. I haven't used them extensively yet, but my first impression is very positive.

Drilling into masonry or concrete with a normal drill will frustrate you and ruin the drill. After doing that because all I had was a normal drill, it was a pleasure to use this made for purpose drill that went right into the masonry and finished the job quickly.
I think I laid on the normal drill bit for 10 minutes to get the same size hole drilled, and the bit was ruined.

I like Bosch tools and some accessories but when it comes to drill bits I choose DeWalt mainly because these are made in Germany, needless to say these are of a much better quality than those made in china (like some bosch drill bits)
