Really well made and heavy duty for a compact flashlight. At a maximum of 300 lumens, this light won't blow you away in terms of brightness. But it's plenty powerful for its smallish, compact size and offers nice variety with its light modes and zoom function. The aircraft grade aluminum body feels very sturdy and high quality. The flashlight turns on and off with the push of a button located on the tail end of the light. By a half push of this same button, you can cycle through the 3 light modes of high beam, low beam, and strobe. The low beam looks to be only useful as ambient light. The most impressive feature in my opinion is the zoom function. By pulling or extending the head of the light, the beam is narrowed into a very bright square. Retracting the head of the light widens the beam to a large circular pattern. Both are very useful, depending on your particular illumination need at a given time. The head slides in and out very easily, but is also firm enough that it won't move without you meaning to move it. The light can be powered by either one AA battery or one 14500 lithium ion battery. I've only tried a AA at this time. I'm curious to find out if the light is any brighter when using the 14500 battery. Coming in at a size near 3.75 inches, the light fits very well in the palm of your hand. This compact size gives you nice flexibility when carrying space is at a premium. The light is equipped with a fairly standard belt clip, which can also be removed if desired. I received the light in exchange for my honest review and I stand by these comments as my truthful opinion. Overall, it's plenty bright for this size class and has great features that make this a light that I'll definitely include in my inventory. For the money, you can't go wrong if you're in the market for a high quality, compact, multi-purpose flashlight. I'd recommend this without hesitation.

I have to admit, I love these little CRE LED flashlights. They are small enough to fit in the palm of your hands, run off a single AA battery, yet can still through a decent amount of light.

The build quality of these flashlights is great. They are made from Aircraft Aluminum so they are light but very sturdy. The “zoom” lens and the battery end cap are both o-ring sealed to prevent water from entering your flashlight. I wouldn’t call them waterproof but they should hold up just fine in the rain. The pushbutton feels pretty sturdy and has a distinct “click” to it. Be careful with cheap versions of these lights, they usually have a poor quality pushbutton.

The light output of the CRE style LED is very good, rated at a maximum of 300 Lumens. The single CRE LED will drastically out shine all of those same size 6-8 LED flashlights that run off of 3 AAA batteries (like the ones you get for free from HF). This light also has 3 modes, high, low, and strobe. The Pushbutton works as an on/off switch but in the on position the pushbutton works as a momentary “off” button so you can switch modes with just a light tap on the bush button – no need to click it off/on.

The Lens can also be “zoomed” in and out to change the light spread. Having the lens all the way out gives you a focused beam that can light up a small section a pretty good distance away, having the lend all the way in gives you a large flood style beam but you will sacrifice distance for width.

Honestly, I love using these flashlights. They are very small so you won’t even notice them in your pocket yet they still provide a good amount of light. I have a $150 flashlight and while it doesn’t give off the same amount of light, I chose this one over my expensive one also every time because of convenience. I’ve only tried these with the single AA battery but they are also designed to accept 14500 rechargeable batteries. The 14500 batteries are twice the voltage of a AA so I suspect you could get even more light output using a 14500 battery.

Wow! What a bright light from a tiny flashlight! I am very impressed with this little LED flashlight. It has three modes: Bright, less light, and strobe, plus a zoom feature that works well. I tested the flashlight and attached two photos. My cell phone doesn't do the flashlight justice as its real performance is better than the pictures show, but it does give an idea. The first photo is from ~40 feet, the fence was as bright as day and I could clearly see the planter and its detail as I could during the day. The second photo is 100 feet. From my eyes, I could see the color easily of the kid's car and make out the whole tree without issue. Very impressed! And I tested this with a AA battery. If you use a 14500 lithium-ion battery, expect the performance to only get better. The feel of the flashlight is solid with some weight. This isn't some cheap feeling body. Great little light! This flashlight is maybe 4 inches long and one in inch diameter and yet the brightness is amazing. It is very dark where I live and using this flashlight outside I can see where I am at night and you can see the trees at the back of the backyard which are about 80 feet away.
The zoom feature is great. You can narrow the beam to use it as a spotlight on a small area or widen the beam to see a larger area. I got a great view of a large spider on a web in the dark which is very handy. It's not something I want to walk in to!
It has three modes which are high, low and strobe. I just keep it on high. I'm not sure what you would need the strobe for, but it's very fast.
The construction is very solid and good quality.

I would highly recommend this product.

This is a perfect little flashlight! I live out in the country and it's very dark and spooky at night. I get an uneasy feeling walking from my car to the house after dark so I've been looking for a well made, small flashlight that will fit in my purse or console. I use it when I let the dog out at night as well. The first thing I noticed is how sturdy its made. Not the cheap lightweight plastic that I've been used to. It's metal with a little weight to it but definitely not so much that it weighs down my purse. It has a beam that adjusts it's size by turning the end of it and pushing the bulb-end to make the beam larger or smaller. The smaller the beam the brighter it seems. It's easy to turn on and off, just push the narrow end to turn on and push again for a brighter beam and again for a strobe like flashing beam. The flashing beam would be perfect to signal for help in an emergency. Push once more to turn off. It has a clip on the side so it can attach to a belt, backpack or even a shirt pocket. Best of all it just takes an ordinary AA battery. Just unscrew the end and pop it in, I put a inexpensive brand from the
dollar store in it and it's working just fine.I plan on ordering these for stocking stuffers for my grandsons, they will get a kick out of the strobe light and it's well made enough to stand up to rough and tumble little boys.I will also have this handy in case of a power outage because I usually stumble around looking for matches and candles. This flashlight is quite literally the best bang for your buck! I wanted a compact flashlight that I could either keep on me or in the glove compartment during trips with the family up north. And I have to say, so far this flashlight is amazing and puts my Surefire flashlight which I might add was almost 4 times the price to absolute same. Here are my overall thoughts on this flashlight:

1. Its a great fit in the hand.
2. While it is compact it is not flimsy by any means!
3. This flashlight is so amazingly bright!
4. The fact that this flashlight runs off of only 1 AA battery is too good to be true.
5. The ability to focus or widen the beam is an added bonus.

My final thought on this exceptional flashlight, is that this little guys is such a great game changer!

This flashlight has proven to be very handy and capable of handling the stress and work load of my job. Last night this force multiplier of a flashlight gave me a heads up on what could have been a very dangerous situation. Thanks to this little guy, I was well aware of a individual attempting to hide in some bushes. I made it known that he had been seen, and he left without issue. I don't know what his intentions were and I'm glad I did not have to find out. This is my back up flashlight and I am very thankful to have had it last night.

Works great, at first when I installed the battery I couldn't get the flashlight to turn off. After some manipulating of the button when I unscrewed the flashlight it works awesome. I'm amazed by the light output by this little guy. It will be a great flashlight to have around the house or in the car, in fact I probably need a couple more. Whats not to like about a small (3.75" long with partial zoom extended x 1" dia) Dark anodized, All machined aluminum, Powerful LED light? So few quality lights can perform like this on just 1 AA Alkaline battery and have the versatility to optionally load up a 14500 Li-Ion cell... I think to get the true rating of 300lm the Li-ion at 4.2v vs 1.5v would be needed though and if you do us LI-ion you will feel the heat generated - appreciating why the upper body has heat sink fins!. I like it so much I now have 3! 2 I purchased previously and this one that I picked up on discount for review. Even the pocket clip is a stout piece of spring steel secured with two hex head screws - well thought out in my opinion. the 3 mode switch is protected from wear on the butt cap. The light does not come with a lanyard however there are 7 mounting holes for it on the back end adjacent to the pocket clip.
