These are great, They also fit Kenmore which is what I have - whirlpool and Kenmore are the same thing. The filter that came with my fridge looks the same, but wasn't near as good as these. It actually makes the extremely hard water we have taste GOOD, just like a pur faucet filter. Definitely will buy this again.

This filter replaces the Pur Refrigerator Ice & Water Filter sold for various refrigerators. The part number for the old filter was W10295370A. I have a Kenmore Elite refrigerator (model 106.51143-112) that took that old filter, and this filter fits it correctly. I'm not sure if my particular model is listed among the brands this EDR1RXD1 filter is supposed to fit, but it does indeed work, for anybody wondering. Price was good ($29.99 as of 1/2016, compared to ~$50 for the old filter), and once it shipped it got here very quickly -- 2 days before promised.

Whirlpool refrigerator model # GSS30C6EYW03 - water probably tastes better than with the older filters although I'm not excited about the higher price. There seems to be a myriad of opinions about water taste in the reviews for this product. My thoughts on the matter are that these filters are designed to REMOVE all sorts of contaminants and even some minerals, which removes some of the natural flavor in the process. If you are used to drinking bottled water, some are simply purified tap water while others are spring water. And in the case of the former, it is not uncommon to add back in certain minerals to enhance the flavor. So if you are comparing your filtered tap water to bottled water you will probably find the tap water lacking in flavor. Also - some people described problems with their filters not fitting in the refrigerator correctly. If this is you, PLEASE include your BRAND and MODEL NUMBER, otherwise your review is meaningless to the rest of us. (Thanks!)

I think this is better than the previous model filters. I don't notice any off taste or odor as other reviewers mentioned. The water taste is the same as the last filter. This was less expensive than the previous model filter. It also provides directions on how to flush the filter when you first put it in, which the previous filter did not.

Needed to replace the water filter in my refrigerator and didn't feel like running out to the home improvement store. With 2-day shipping from Prime, I received the filters before I would have had the chance to go the store anyway. Better price from Amazon than home improvement stores too! Easy to install. Haven't had any issues with it.

This is the replacement that is recommended by Whirlpool for our refrigerator. I love the product the water actually tastes better than it has in a long time.The filter that I had been using when you first install you had to run AT Least a gallon of water through before the charcoal cleared out the filter completely, not so with this unit. It truly is an Exact replacement as it is the same size, dimensions etc. as the original manufacturers product. Also the product appears to be in one of those crazy clam shell display packages but the shell is not sealed and when you remove the cardboard cover the clamshell opens right up.. My personal opinion is Great product and Great price compared to retail stores where I live.

This review is for the Everydrop by Whirlpool Refrigerator Water Filter 1 EDR1RXD2 (Pack of 2). This filter fit my mom's whirlpool fridge as directed. It saved us a lot of money rather than paying $50something dollars for ONE the old PUR filters. So far so good, the filter works and the water seems to taste just fine. When I installed the new filter, I just poured out the water and ice for a good 2-3 minutes to really get the water flowing thru the new filter and flushing it out. Great value for the 2 pack, hopefully it will last for the year, as it says each filter should be good for 6 months.

As advertised, I enjoyed the 2 pack as it came cheaper than buying one. If you plan on buying 1, you might as well buy 2. They last as expected and it is about 4-6 months for me. We have a whirlpool side by side refrigerator that loads from the bottom. Similar to # WRS571CIDM, but I can't find our exact model.

Bought as a replacement for the Pur Whirlpool in our Fridge. Arrived quickly. Installed and have been using for over a week now. Water tastes fine (note that the packaging states removes a lot more contaminants than the old Pur ones). I saw some people commenting in their reviews that they get a bad taste and are trying to find the old Pur range. Have found this to be just as good and water and ice have no taste. I made sure the flush with 5 gallons too.

Work great in our fridge, definitely last longer than 6 months but there are only two of us using the water so I'm sure that makes a difference. We only switch out when we notice the taste, not when the light goes off.
