Clean, Odorless Insect Protection
Kill flying and crawling bugs in attics, garages, storage spaces, boats, RVs, and cabins with Hot Shot No-Pest Strip. This hanging insect repellent uses advanced controlled-release technology to slowly diffuse a deep, penetrating vapor throughout the enclosed treatment space for up to four months. Its clean, odorless vapor is evenly distributed, killing both visible and hidden insects on contact and preventing new insect infestations.
Because it continuously emits vapor, Hot Shot No-Pest Strip is designed to be used in areas occupied by people less than four hours per day, such as garages, attics, or sheds. You can also hang one in your vacation home, cabin, mobile home, or boat while it's not being used.
Use Recommendations
One Hot Shot No-Pest Strip will treat a 10-by-13-foot enclosed room with an 8-foot ceiling. When more than one strip is required--such as larger rooms--keep the strips at least 10 feet apart. Treatment usually lasts for four months; replace with a new, fresh, full-strength strip at the end of four months. Hot Shot No-Pest Strip should not be used around food or in food-handling areas.
Before using a treated room or area that has not been occupied for a while (such as a vacation home or RV), remove Hot Shot No-Pest Strips and open doors and windows for a few hours to allow any lingering vapor to dissipate.
Controlling Insects
Hot Shot No-Pest Strips work against both flies and mosquitoes. For flying insect control specifically, hang or stand the strip in the middle of your treatment area, away from windows. You can even use the strip inside your trash dumpster if you're having a fly problem there. Stand up one strip inside your dumpster and keep the lid on the dumpster closed.
Do not use the strip around edibles.

Hello, I'm land surveyor and am constantly in the woods with the ticks and chiggers. I have learned that if you break this open, cut in half and run shoelaces through each piece you can place around ankle of boot which will give you a very good tick and chigger repellent for about 2-3 months. I never spray with anything else, just this. Ticks will crawl on me for just a little bit but then will die. Can't hardly smell this after opened so it doesn't smell like the sprays. Completely kills chiggers, which is a very big plus to me, and the only place that the ticks will bite in is around the shoulder and up. Since I don't want to wear one as a collar I can stand one or two bites a week.

We have a small above-ground pool on our back patio that we use to cool down in the Texas heat. The problem was that wasps would constantly do fly-bys and dive bomb us while we were trying to relax in our floating chairs! I spent more time being freaked out by them than I did enjoying the pool. There were no nearby nests that we could find, so we couldn't get rid of the source. After doing some research, I came across a review of this product that said someone used it outside her back door to successfully keep away wasps. So 3 days later, my order arrived and I immediately hung it up on a nail on my back patio, right next to the pool. And guess what? NO WASPS, HORNETS OR OTHER PESKY BUGS SHOWED UP! I have been able to enjoy my pool in complete peace, and actually get to enjoy hanging out in my floating chair while reading a good book! As a bonus, we've also noticed that when we are out there using the grill, there are no mosquitos like there used to be! Of course, leaving it outside in the elements (the occasional rain and oppressive heat) shortens the time span of effectiveness listed on the product's packaging. It was totally effective the first 4 weeks, then we had 2 days of heavy rain. Yesterday, I saw the first wasp since I started using this product. I examined the strip more closely, and saw that the gel inside is starting to look degraded. So I just ordered a couple more. It is well worth less than $10 a month to be able to enjoy my pool! If anyone out there is as afraid of wasps/hornets as I am, I can tell you that this product definitely worked to keep them away!

I had a spider mite invasion in my indoor garden twice,(several months apart, so not a re-infestation) and both times by using No-Pest strip they not only were stopped in their tracks dead as adults, they also only made it a few steps from the eggs before dying. I confirmed the effectiveness by using a microscope to check for any living bugs....not one after I put the strip inside the garden.
Highly recommend with the understanding that it's effectiveness likely is proportionate to the fume concentration in the room. Larger space will require more strips. Good luck and keep on growin!

Heres the only method I've found that works and kills 100% of spider mites and aphids inside my indoor garden.
When the lights are out, Shut off the vent fans but leave the oscillating fans on.
Hang one or two traps ON the fan inside the room overnight.
Turn on the vent fans when the lights come on. Usually one night and all the bugs are twitching and dieing.
Might take 2 or 3 nights depending on conditions and amount of bugs.
If all the bugs are dead, Remove these strips and store them in a sealed container. I use a old mason jar.
Worked for my spider mite and aphids infestation.
The insecticide inside these traps are no joke. Remove the traps and air out the room at least a week, preferably 2 weeks before harvest.
DO NOT stick your head inside and take a big puff. Your throat will be irritated for the next few hours.
Have not had any noticeable decrease in yield or quality aside from the bug damage.
Leaves no residue nor does it alter any flavors.
Bottom line. This is poison. Treat it like poison. Use common sense.
We're all surrounded by pesticides and other harmful chemicals. Use common sense.
When all methods have failed. Bust out the no pest strips.
These will not work effectively in an environment where the air is constantly changing. Such as a porch.

Yes it REALLY works! I am so thrilled, I had to write a review. So I had a moth infestation (clothes moths). They were pretty stealthy and you'd never even know they were there until you see their effects. It was so bad that if I'd sleep in anything cotton, or even wear socks on the carpet, I would literally wakeup with holes in whatever I was wearing. I became paranoid about leaving clothes out, and about using moth balls everywhere, to no avail. I had used sprays, adhesive traps, nothing worked. It was a disaster; they are very relentless creatures. And then, on a whim I picked up this baby! I set this up in my room, went away to college for six months and sealed the door with some towels to trap the vapors from escaping into the next room. Wow, I came back, expecting the same thing which had been going unchecked for years and... nothing! I would advise you to be able to leave this in a room for several weeks to months, to prevent new generations of larvae from hatching. That is when it is most effective. Be sure to leave open any chests or drawers so that they can also get treated by the vapors. You are not supposed to live in the room in which you are using it, it can make you very sick! TRULY an answer to my prayers!

I really don't like using chemical means of control, but considering the number of mosquitoes in my carport, I felt I had no choice. We couldn't even get in the house without being mobbed by the mosquitoes. I hung the Hot Shot outside the door, and by the next day the area was clear of mosquitoes--and it is still working. I hope it will last the summer.

I use these in my garage twice each year to keep spiders away and in our inside hallway leading to the basement for the same reason. They work great + because they do it allows my wife to feel better about going into both! I highly recommend.

I remember the "Shell No Pest strips" of my childhood, which it seems are no longer made. These seem to be the closest thing I could find that is basically the same.
Put 2 or 3 of these up in your house, and slowly all the flies disappear. Seems to work as my memories of 30yrs ago remember. Have used these for a few years no, and neither my wife nor I am glowing or anything...

In our area at a certain time of year our home becomes over runner with knats. I had tried a number of things from being hyper careful about leaving doors open or food items out, to insect bombs, which where a terrible pain, forcing us out of the house for hours and then having to wash every dish in the house afterwards, all the bedding and all our clothing, only to have the little flies back after about a week or two. A friend suggested these Hotshots. I was skeptical because it just seemed like an air freshener, but she swore by them so I gave them a try. It has been two years now and our home is Knat free. They last a lot longer than even suggested. I can highly recomend this product as a solution.
