Definitely a must have product. Everyone should have one in there car. It folds and unfolds with ease. However I do recommend lubricating the threads to make folding and unfolding even easier. (You do this by taking it apart. It is easy but if you do not know what a ratcheting wrench is then please don't do it) Everyone needs to keep in mind this is a small folding shovel, NOT a regular large backyard shovel. I use it to help with my fossil digs in the river along with camping and it serves that purpose well.

OMG people, it is a $9.00 shovel...for that price alone you could purchase 20 of them and abuse them one by one. It would still take you over 40 years to finally get to the end of your shovel supply or you could spend over $300.00 for a single "high end" shovel and hope for the best...Seriously...this thing ROCKS for only $9.00 and the best part of it all...IT WORKS! Bought this for camping and it works great. We actually used it in the yard when we first got it and were pretty impressed. Comes with a carrying case and folds up to about 8 inches or so which fits right in our camping stuff without taking up too much room. Small enough the kids could use it and "help" and big enough my husband didn't mind using it either.

At first I was kind of shocked by how small it was folded up. But once I checked it out, opened, tightened what needed to be tightened, this little multi-tool is quite AMAZING! literally takes up no space, lightweight and quite strong for it's size. I got one for my neighbor as a gift and she loves it too! She says it's the perfect Zombie Apocalypse shovel for digging pottie holes or taking out Zombies! Hahahahaa

First, the entrenching tool is smaller than the ones we used as basic issue. However, it is well constructed and thought out. The tool has been aggressively designed to meed the needs of daily security, camping and survival. Once opened, the functionality of the tool gives reassurance that you can do what ever was intended. I am so glad to have this in my quiver with my other survival equipment.

I literally take this product everywhere.... LITERALLY! I take it camping,Hiking,to work and I keep it in the car. Sturdy as you can imagine and at a very affordable price! Not sure what other users' complaints come from. I bought this tool years ago and it's served me well for everything I've needed. Remember, this is a portable entrenching tool. Don't use this for industrial needs.
I've used this for multi-week camping trips to dig latrines, water barrier trenches around our tents during rain, and to any number of other things around the trail/campsite.
I keep this in my car during the winter to help when people spin out and ice their cars into ruts.

Good shovel. Easy to fold/unfold. The shovel and pick will work on hard packed dirt without any sign of damage. This is a good size and weight for easy carry or storing in a trunk. I wouldn't want to do a big job with it, but that isn't the purpose of this type of shovel.

These are great for keeping in your vehicle in case of getting stuck in snow/mud etc. Very small package when it's folded, I don't have a problem getting a decent amount of leverage or material when using it on dirt. As a snow shovel, it works will for clearing the underside of your car as well as clearing around your tire. Keep a little bag of sand/cat litter to assist with traction and this will get you out of a lot of jams.
