I use a lot of utility blades for trimming inkjet canvas and fine art media mounted to Gatorfoam. These classic Stanley 1992 blades are absolutely the best for cutting that kind of material. Lowes stopped carrying the Stanley 1992 blades, which forced me to try several so-called "hi tech" alternatives. None could hold up a candle to the Stanley blades in terms of lifetime and sharpness. With the Stanley 1992 blades I can get about 30 linear feet of the super clean cuts that I like, versus maybe 15 to 18 for the "Heavy Duty" Kobalt blades which are typical of most brands.
I'm a little puzzled by the guy complaining about the oil. ALL steel blades have a least some oil in the package deliberately put there for preservative reasons. Steel can rust, but gives you better cuts than any other affordable metal. Even though I cut artwork, I have never had a issue with the oil contaminating the product. And for some types of cuts a slightly oily blade is a big help. If you really have an application that is oil sensitive, just remember that both t-shirts and work pants have excellent oil absorbing properties. And if one is bothered by the very slight smell of oil on their fingers, then one should avoid steel cutting tools.

Not sure if I have fully recovered yet from the shock of seeing "Made In USA With Global Materials". This was on the outside packaging and I wonder if it refers to the cardboard and plastic packaging. The Dispenser has the same notice and now I wonder if that refers to just the dispenser. I hate to be so skeptical but after all these years of nothing but "Made In China" I have a difficult time believing that at last there is a product actually made in the USA even if it is just the carton and the dispenser. The blades themselves have some markings but not the country of manufacture.
Ok, enough of the gadzooks factor. You get fifty sharp and sturdy Stanley (Stanley is imprinted on the blades) box cutter blades. They are in a plastic dispenser designed for easy blade removal. Just a light touch will slide the blade out of the dispenser and move the next blade into the vacated space. I have been using a Stanley cutter with these same types of blades and they have performed admirably. At approximately 20 cents apiece these blades are well worth the cost. I easily get 10 cents worth of use from each end of the blades. Nice prodct at a reasonable cost.

I have used my utility knife a lot over the years, and no other brand can even come close to the quality of Stanley Replacement Blades. They are worth every penny and then some! I have tried cheaper brands, but they fit poorly and dulled quickly. I wouldn't even consider using anything but genuine Stanley Blades in my utility knife. They always were and still are the best.

These blades are great, they're SO cheap, there are so many - now instead of using dull blades to cut up my recycling, I can use a fresh blade which makes everything go faster. I also often use them in my art work, they're perfect for that as well. My only complaint is the dispenser. It took me forever to realize that I was trying to push the blade out of the wrong side. I finally figured it out, and tried to push them the right way, but the blades are super greasy and really, really hard to get out. I end up having to pry them out with a tool. Then the grease gets all over my hands, so if I am using the blades to cut items for an art project, I have to wipe them down first so as not to ruin the art piece. That greasy part is gross.

I like utility knives. They are useful for all kinds of stuff around the house, opening boxes, cutting up cardboard, cutting materials in the shop etc. One thing that is frustrating are dull and/or rusty blades in the utility knife. This product provides a nice dispenser to attach to your workbench or pegboard so that you can easily replace the blade anytime you need to. 50 blades will probably last me a very long time so the dispenser and however many blades I haven't used will likely pass to the next owner of this home. You can't buy much in this world for under $10.00 that provides this kind of functionality. If you own a utility knife, this is an essential accessory.

I use a lot of these razor sharp blades on my farm. I carry my utility knife everywhere and pull it out of my pocket numerous times during the day cutting everything from hay bale twine to cardboard cartons to thistle plants I find growing in the cow pasture. I also use it my utility knife frequently in the wood shop on my farm. These blades stand up to the toughest use.
My grandfather carried a jackknife. My father carried a jackknife. They both spent hours sharpening their pocket knives. I carry my utility knife and I don't spend any time at all sharpening. These razor sharp blades pop right into my utility knife and they are always sharper than my grandfather's knife and sharper than my father's knife. I can't imagine working around the farm or in the wood shop without them!

Sharp blades, packed in a mountable "holster" that protects the blades (and me!). Blades are easily removed, one at a time. The blades appear to have a coating of oil to protect them in the holster. Well worth the money.

These blades are sharp and ready to go at all times. They fit my old box cutter perfectly and the low cost allows me to change out blades regularly without feeling like I am being wasteful. In addition, I store some spare blades inside the handle of my cutter so that I don't have to lug the whole box around when I am doing a large cutting task that wears out more than one blade.

bought with the stanley 10788 knife..my only problem is I use them to a point where the blade starts to deteriorate..
MONTHS of use before it became dull.. lol
